They lied and tried to send my child to chicago when i live 20 minutes from champaign. They told me there weren’t any beds at the Pavilion in champaign, which is where i requested for my son to go after he ran away. i… got into it with the SASS worker Jamilah because he wasn’t suicidal and didn’t need to be hospitalized. because of that, they didn’t even call the pavilion and tried to send him to the west side of chicago while telling me since my first choice wasn’t available, he HAD to go wherever a bed became open. I personally called the Pavillion and was told they had several open beds. For these women, one was Rhonda, to tell me my choice close to home was full just because they were mad at me is wild, to take it out on my son and ship him to chicago. meanwhile they didn’t even send the referral to the pavilion or call them. thank god i checked myself before agreeing to send him to chicago because i was told the option close to home wasn’t open. it’s unprofessional and they lied. i will be consulting with an attorney.
