About VA Bennington CBOC – Bennington

VA Bennington CBOC operates from 186 North Street in Bennington. The site sits in Bennington County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Manchester Center, North Bennington and North Pownal. Vermont draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at VA Bennington CBOC

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

VA Bennington CBOC Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 186 North Street, Bennington, VT 05201, in Bennington County. The catchment reaches Manchester Center, North Bennington and North Pownal. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

My husband was a patient at the Bennington VT Clinic..I have divorced him after 31 years because I have evidence he and his nurse (Sharon Brooks) had an affair. I even had to break the news to her husband....Nice class… of nurses -

This is a great local VA Clinic. Much more convenient than White River Junction. If like me you tried the VA 40+ years ago and concluded you would rather stick with a private Doc, try them again. I am very pleased with… my care here, and also pleasantly surprised by the attitudes of everyone I have encountered. There has been a sea change in the VA, and the fact that these community clinics even exist is evidence of that.

After doing the transfer dance several times I finally reached this VA- only for the lady, Hap, at the front desk to get short w/ me and hang up because she didn't understand my question 🙃 totally awesome to do right?… Sign up to work w/ vets and then be insensitive and impatient, KILLER combo 👉👉 Anyway, I had to walk in and break it down Barney style for her to get the picture and actually cooperate w/ a very easy resolution (achieved digitally outside their office) that could've been achieved sooner had she cared to listen on the phone initially. This place is clearly trash just getting in the door, only the Chattanooga VA being a worse experience for me personally. Just eat the ER bill or get on that DIY Barracks Healthcare (jk, don't do this obviously, but do go somewhere else).

Very good care. It is small, but vert well run. The care is excellent, the staff are excellent. It is extremely clean. Easy to get to and has its own parking lot. I have had 4 appointments there and was impressed with… the service.
