About Withdrawal Management Unit – Fargo
Withdrawal Management Unit operates from 1519 1st Avenue South in Fargo. The site sits in Cass County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Briarwood, Frontier and North River. North Dakota draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Detox and residential treatment are delivered here, alongside care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Detox and Rehab Services at Withdrawal Management Unit
Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Withdrawal Management Unit Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 1519 1st Avenue South, Fargo, ND 58103, in Cass County. The catchment reaches Briarwood, Frontier and North River. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Opening hours shift with staffing, and an evening slot one month may not exist the next. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Withdrawal Management Unit Reviews and Ratings
Nobody knows a treatment program like the patients who went through it. Their reviews of Withdrawal Management Unit in Fargo, and those of their families, are collected here.
Healthcare workers and referrers who know the facility are welcome to add what they have seen.
We stayed at this shelter for several weeks. Staff were polite, but we struggled to access basic support. Despite asking daily, we were never assigned a case manager, never given clear expectations, and never had our… situation or finances reviewed. The environment was often chaotic, unsafe and it felt like services were focused mainly on clients already known to staff. We’re grateful for the roof, but the lack of guidance made it difficult to move forward. We ended up going to a motel just so we could give them a quick exit date.
Super easy to deal with. I’m completely satisfied with my visit.
Bad staff
They don't open at 5, they kick you out in the pouring rain until 8pm
I first love it, but the next day, I don't like it. The people in Gladys Ray Shelter except for the some staff that are nice to me.
Nice staff, constantly noisy from drama and people coming in at all hours and messed up
Great asset to our homeless community.
Great place to go for resources and a very helpful and knowledgeable staff who know the way thru ur struggles. God Bless their hearts
There to help when needed
Attempted to go here one night for shelter. They turned me down and said my car was considered shelter.
Gladys used to be all about helping people. You could always get shelter here even if the beds were full they would give you a chair but not anymore. They are cold and don't care about your situation whatsoever
Most people were isolated from the shelter
they helped out with the things we needed, they were very respectful to my family and our needs and our privacy
I always enjoy my stays at Gladys Ray's...Every accommodation is met with a very patient & carribg Staff...Book Ur stay today!!!
Very caring staff.
Real good people doing a very good job understaffed and overworked but try to help everybody
