Rehabs That Take WebTPA

WebTPA is a third-party administrator that manages self-funded health plans for employers, hospital systems and other organizations across the country. The employer funds the benefits and sets the plan rules, while WebTPA processes claims and handles member services. Plans it administers can include coverage for drug and alcohol treatment, with benefits varying by employer plan, network and level of care.

Centers in Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Oregon on this page name WebTPA on their websites, sometimes alongside a hospital or employer name. Your employer’s plan document decides coverage. Ask the facility whether it has billed your plan through WebTPA, then call the number on your card about precertification and costs.

More Addiction Rehabs That Take WebTPA 13–16 of 16

Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does WebTPA cover rehab?

Yes, plans administered by WebTPA generally include substance use and mental health benefits, but the employer funds the plan and writes the rules, so cost sharing and limits differ by employer. The LSU First plan and the Automobile Club of Southern California plans both cover inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment for 2026.

WebTPA processes claims rather than insuring the benefit, so the plan document and the member number on your ID card are the authority on what is covered.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Is WebTPA an insurance company?

No. WebTPA is a third-party administrator founded in 1993 and based in Irving, Texas. Its member FAQ states that it is not an insurance company: the employer funds the self-funded plan and pays claim costs, while WebTPA processes claims and runs member services.

The ID card guide adds that the network logo printed on the card, often Aetna, is not your insurance company either.

Who owns WebTPA?

GuideWell, the Jacksonville, Florida mutual holding company behind Florida Blue, owns WebTPA. GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation announced the agreement to acquire it on November 6, 2020, and WebTPA continues to operate as an independent company inside the GuideWell enterprise with its own advisory board.

An older WebTPA page still describes ownership by AmWINS Group dating from 2006, while the company's current history page names GuideWell as the owner.

WebTPA is not an insurance company. It is a third-party administrator that processes claims and runs member services for employers that fund their own health benefits, which means the employer’s plan document, not WebTPA, decides what addiction treatment is paid for and on what terms.

The company was founded in 1993, works from Irving, Texas, with a second office in San Antonio, and has been part of the GuideWell enterprise since 2020. It administers more than 25,000 distinct benefit plan structures across upwards of 20 network arrangements, so two cards carrying the WebTPA name can have different deductibles, different networks and different authorization rules. WebTPA’s own ID card guide states the position plainly: WebTPA is the plan administrator, and the network logo printed alongside it is not the insurance company.

This guide covers what WebTPA-administered plans pay for at each level of addiction treatment, where pre-certification applies and who reviews it, what the published 2026 plans charge, how medication is handled through each plan’s pharmacy benefit, and how network status is settled before an admission date is agreed.
