Spero Health – Bowling Green

I’ve been at Spero health since 2019. Not after today. I’ve done everything I am supposed to. Clean drug screens, counseling, and hoops that I jumped through monthly. I run out of medicine one time in 6 years, called… them, was honest which was not easy and I thought about not calling at all but I did, and they would not help me at all. No bridge to help me not relapse or be sick, just a zofran prescription!! They actually have 6 years of files that SHOW that I AM TRYING! Not to mention my full blown abstinence from hard drugs for 5 straight years and that’s in black and white. I will never walk through the doors of Spero health again. No matter how good you are, how much you try, when you really need the help they dismiss you.

I appreciate the staff, doctors, councelors, pharmacy assistance and office staff. They're all very caring and helpful. Without Spero Health, I wouldn't have the lifestyle, family, support and opportunities that I have.… THANK YOU ALL! Dec. 14 2023 To update my review a bit; I've been a patient at Spero Health since 2013. When it was Self Refind! Of, course like all patients, I've had a bad appointment or two over the years but, I just try to remind myself that everyone/every business can have hectic/bad days and yes... BUSY OFFICES such as this are gonna have a few hiccups. But I do not like the ever changing staff, its getting more solid now, and the counselors are amazing. Caleb and Jamie are my favorite! I know... I shouldn't say favorites but of all the counselors I've been through, they are by far the best. And of course, the Suboxone works for me (with it's bad side effects aside... that's not on the office ) Spero Health is great. So.. when reading these reviews because your looking for help, just remember when you see the bad reviews (ie: "THIS PLACE SUCKS! STAFF IS SO RUDE! THEY FORGOT ME IN THE WAITING ROOM!" That staff sees a lot of patients everyday and some are having the worst day ever... bare with them! They will get to you and will help you anyway they can. So, if you're looking for a place that will help you get clean and sober and support the entire way, THIS IS THE PLACE. Nothing about recovery is easy! As addicts, we know this. But this staff will get to know you and help you the best way possible. One day, one minute, one second at a time! This journey is hard but the staff, physicians and counselors will get you through it! The other side is AMAZING! Thank you Spero for sticking with me all these years, even through the bad times!!! ♡♡♡

Spero Health has changed my life!! The medication really does work!! I volunteered myself to go to Spero Health and I've been clean and sober since!! The counselors peer support and staff there is very helpful… supportive and resourceful!!

I love this clinic they make me feel like I'm a family member and they're very helpful and dont judge me for being an addict. I would highly recommend spero health clinic to anyone struggling with addiction. They really… help, they've helped me tremendously and I thought I wasn't able to be helped.

Spero health was a good place while going there till they weren't. I wasn't able to get a call past the front desk to get the Dr. To submit what was needed to my insurance for my subscription they sent in. Now I'm left… cold turkey without the medicine and service they said they would be there for. I highly recommend till they get new front desk ppl to not go there but to the other clinic Bowling green has. Unless you want to be dependent on them in the back while the desk in the front cutts you off from communication without a reason. Don't let your love one or self be left without the help or medicine cause with the front desk people it's a RISK. The rest of the people there are great.

I've been going to Spero for about 8 months now for their Suboxone clinic. For the first 4 months, they were awesome, couldn't have asked for a better set of people. They had several people quit and get replaced about 4… months ago. At that point, every visit from then on was messed up in some way. I like to be loyal, which is why I stuck it out for so long. However, today will be my last visit, cause they obviously don't have their stuff together, and I've had enough. They're disorganized, can't schedule properly, can't write prescriptions properly, has me going to the pharmacy way more than needed, and often times my visits take half the day. Now, I just found out, they charge your card without asking, unless you tell them not to. Now I can't pay rent, because they authorized $300 out of the blue, and all they can say is it's their policy. I've never been so displeased with a business in my life, especially one that is supposed to help you make your life better. My life will be better now that Spero is out of my life. They are genuinely nice people, I'll give them that, but they don't screw up occasionally, they screw up EVERY time! I would definitely check your other options before going here.

The people that work at Spero are professional, knowledgeable and you can tell that they are genuine and truly care.

The worse treatment facility in Bowling Green, hands down. Every appointment I had ended up being like my first appointment all over again. They are so unorganized and make you feel so unknown and uncomfortable. I had… transferred from AppleGate because of an insurance change and was told that after they received my records they would move me to once a month, and that I could have one on one counseling. All of that ended up being a lie. That’s all they did was lie to me and made me feel like they didn’t care and some of the staff made me feel like they didn’t want to be there anymore than I did. I’d recommend AppleGate to anyone that wants to feel wanted, where they actually do what they say and know your first day from your current appointment. Where they really do care and know you by name.

Staff are great and I would definitely recommend anybody this please save my life! And once you’re here, you become a little family!

I have used their services and will say I love my Kim, plus a few more of the staff there. Once they meet you they'll remember your name and make you feel right at home.

Treatment facilities such as these are a gift from God, the medicine they prescribe is life changing. Anyone who abuses opiates knows that the desire for more is always there, even if you have just used, that’s why the… addiction progresses so fast. You are constantly thinking about where you are going to get more because you don’t want to feel the aches and pains of being without. Suboxone pretty much immediately takes those thoughts and aches and pains away, and changes your path. My thoughts on Spero health and their bowling green office is a little different. The office in bowling green can be kinda chaotic and unorganized, they will forget you waiting in the waiting room, not work with schedule changes, dr forget to call meds in. This is not always but happens more than it should, and can be very stressful for someone in recovery. Since Spero health has taken over, it’s very clear that this company only cares about money, and how many times they can bill your insurance. Before you seen a MD that cared about your progress once a month, and counseling on your other visits. Insurance would be billed once for MD, and billed for your counseling. Now they try and make you see Nurse practitioner and consueling each time you go and insurance being billed for both. Recovery Progress is no longer discussed in visits, just co pays. Still if you are struggling with opiate addiction, this place will prescribe the medicine that will change your life.

This place has truly changed my life and has given me a freedom i never thought I'd ever get back. If you suffer from addiction and are wanting a way out... I highly recommend giving spero a try.
