Groups Recover Together – Clearwater Detox and Rehab Services

Groups Recover Together – Clearwater is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I came here today because I feel its important to hear my input as I've not only been with groups long term but I've hit every challenge that a mother in recovery could possibly smash into and still got up and kept… going and I owe that to the plethora of my hard work that I did, I owe it to Groups for the amazing opportunity, but I also owe it to my counselor and I want to explain why. When I came to groups I was a very broken woman in a scared and hopeless state but I knew I couldn't go on how I was so I opened google and picked the prettiest logo that stated they take medicaid. Intake was brutal for me because I have ADHD really bad and I tend to over explain and the lady at intake was strict, not very welcoming, and kept cutting me off and telling me to just answer the question and everything I was trying to explain was for my counselor so I had low hopes in this being successful for me because I struggle to be around people who make me feel like I want to just cower down and hide aka hang up and not come back and bear my embarrassment alone...being treated like less than or like a mentally ill child is one of the reasons why I have social anxiety and couldn't stay sober. Day one of being in group I was so uncomfortable knowing others could see me but my counselor "Dutch" really pulled me out of my shell and along the way he has helped me in more ways then I think he even knows. First thing he said was "I'm not your boss, your not going to get in trouble, I'm not here to punish you like your a child...I'm one of you and Im here to help" Finally I found my comfort zone that I've only found in one other counselor when I was 14 years old. I've heard several other people say that they have been waiting for a seat to be open in Dutch's group but they have to consistently ask It's because he helps us feel like we are human and not stuck in a facility with all the rules and guidelines that turns us away from recovery. To be able to live life and be in recovery at the same time is why I am sober today. When I found groups my kidneys were shutting down and my husband's liver was failing. We both are in a good place and have been clean for years now but he doesn't have insurance so his battle is much harder than mine. I've been through so much trauma while being with Dutch so I am very stubborn when it comes to being in anyone else's class. Dutch is home for me. He has been with me for multiple births, deadly infections, serious diagnosis for me and my children, an 8 month nicu and Ronald McDonald House stay, surgeries, storms, financial issues, the rocky period in my relationship, ....when me and our group try to explain to other counselors that our comfort zone is with Dutch then they get real snotty about it instead of coming at it with a mature and understanding mind...that tells me that they are not bonding with their class and from personal experience...its their people skills and they are just like being in jail sometimes but we are sitting in our own homes. I've tried doing make up classes...I have certain things about me that I can not help. I can not help that I have 4 children that depend on me but also important, I am adhd and Im living life sober and unmedicated (happily) and one of my coping skills is to pace to keep my brain actively in the class...I've had other counselors be very ugly to me about it...I was humiliated in front of my peers and I felt like a child when the responsibility in the room with me is 4 babies under 5 years old and my 2 year old son who is a dwarf and the size of a 6 month old is extremely medically complex and needs me....Im his full time trained nurse. This is why I appreciate Groups as much as I do, I especially appreciate Dutch for taking the time to get to know me as a person and as a friend in recovery. My only regret is not having this in my life so much sooner because today I am the me that I've always wanted and deserve to be. Thank you for allowing me to express my journey while being in groups and my advice to anyone looking for what I have...find your home group❤️

Groups Recover Together has ultimately saved my life and my partners life as well. Getting started is extremely easy and everything is done from the comfort of your own home. I'd recommend Groups as opposed to methadone… treatment any day. I feel like I can function like a normal human being now and it's been years since I've felt this way. Thanks Groups!

Dr Brown is excellent and I believe we need more Dr's Like him. He alone wants to make you stay in treatment. He is friendly, understanding, and definitely understands addiction. I hope is my doctor for a long time to… come. My only issue is with all the counselor changes. I have had 4 so far in the past year. I think it is important to get established and get comfortable with someone but it seems as soon as you do, you get a new one. But I understand . And would stay even if I had 10 in one yr. But I wanted to let u all know. P.S I promise you can be clean and successful for as long as you choose with groups recovery. Best program out there hands down.
