Outreach Recovery II – Frederick Address, Location and Contact Information
The facility address is 196 Thomas Johnson Drive, Frederick, Maryland, 21701. The city lies within Frederick County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

I been going here for a long time every couple months the whole staff disappears and you have news ones that get worse snd worse. Things were good atbthe beginning and staff was good but that is no longer the case. They… dont fully do their job correct.NOW THE FREDERICK LOCAT HAS CLOSED and only offers telemedicine YOU CANT REACH ANY STAFF AT ANY LOCATION AS THEY ONLY HAVE A CALL.CENTER NO DIRECT OFFICE LINE OR AFTER HOURS WORKING LINE FOR A ON CALL STAFFF THE CALL.CENTER N̈TAKE ALL CALLS AND those people half know what they are doing they dont even know how to schedule correctly. THEN YOUR LUCKY IF YOU HAVE A TELEMEDICINE TO GET YHE CALL OR LINK SENT AND THEY WANT YOU TO DO A SWAB TEXT VIA VIDEO BC ITS A TELEMEDICINE AND SEND IN YOUR SWAB VIA FEDEX. ITS BECOME A TOTAL MESS AND only good part is the doctors that you do see has stayed the same everything else was gone downhill bad with this place and then if a mistake happens its blamed on you Not them when its there fault ID LOOK ELSEWHERE BEFORE RRYINF RO COME HERE FOR HELP ITS GOT BAD!!!!!!! if the Frederick location closed that should be a red flag and sign right there wish it was like at the beginning all the staff turnover every few months hmmmmm when you need help this is not what you want 😔
Kelly is awesome.best Dr I've ever had.
Absolutely love love this office. Everyone there is amazing, compassionate and patient. I'm so grateful to them for everything they do and more. Shout out to Dr. Kelly Murray and staff. You all are just awesome. I've… never once felt judged always feel welcome.
"I had issues with the discs in my back, surgery, didn't help. 20 year habit down the opiod rabbit hole. Lots of prayer, rehab, family support, I've been 1 year 6 months clean. The next step i s maintenence. Suboxone is… a miracle drug. It has kept me inline and off pain medication. Even though I am still in lots o pain, in my heart I am on the right path for the next chapter of my life. With God as my quidence and best friend, I can do all things through Him that gives me strength. The people who work at Outreach are compassionate, caring, and there for you if you need a shoulder. They are professional with a heart, because of what us the patient go through is a very touchy subject. I am so glad that the medical field saw a need when all on the news was overdoses from the epidemic of Pain Pill Pushers. They put in place a solution to help the patients get control of their lives once again. There is a solution to hold your head high, and not feel ashamed. I pray for everyone that has the chance to read this, and they are in the throws of addiction, there is HOPE..... God Bless everyone.
Kelly is very thorough, caring and helpful! Never rushed!
Everybody in the office was very, very friendly. Very helpful, I highly recommend if you need to visit. The doctors are wonderful, very nice and personable. They actually care about your well being. The Staff is awesome… as well.
I appreciate them at Outreach. They’ve helped me through a lot of bad times it’s a wonderful place with wonderful people most of them lol the one thing I would recommend is that they stop switching employees because… it’s really hard when you get used to your doctors and the staff there and then everybody’s changed, it makes you feel very uncomfortable and uneasy Other than that the place is wonderful. I wouldn’t change anything else.
Incredible staff! Very friendly and efficient. Megan is wonderful, hard-working and so kind. Alyssa is amazing and so supportive. She is so encouraging! These two are such an important part of Outreach recovery. The… providers are very kind and very supportive as well!
Great quality care
I've been a patient here for about 5 urs and it's helped me tremendously! Everyone is very nice an caring an in this practice, that's exactly what we need!
Love this place. Definitely helped me on my journey of recovery. Friendly staff and very professional. They make you feel welcome and feel that your genuinely cared for.
The gentleman who was supposed to be at the front desk wears a Du rag on his head at work which isnt very professional ,he is seldom at the desk so I can rarely contact him through the phone, and when I did finally get… him on the phone he wasn't at all courteous he was short and a bit rude when I required and explanation concerning my medications release date . I also called to ask him a question about my medication having an unusual price on it ,he said he would look it up and call me back ...he never did.
If it was possible to give zero stars I would. The only good thing about this office WAS the people who used to work the front office in the Frederick location. They are no longer there, and now it is very evident that… they were the only thing holding this place together. Absolutely the worst psychiatrist I have ever been to. I was a patient there for over six years, and although they also offer MAT as well, I can only speak on the psych part of their practice because I only saw them for this. When I moved from PA to MD, I went to outreach and was taken off of one of my medications that I had been on for over 20 years. The reason? He didn’t like those meds together, and thought something else would help. I refused to take a new medication, in knowing that it could mess up what I was on. I adjusted over time, and was doing ok. Fast forward about 5 years and my psychiatrist leaves the practice. I am jumbled around to whatever provider could see me (never in person; had to go into the office to talk to them on a screen- and mind you this started pre-covid) The first new psychiatrist I saw decided that she did not like the dose I was at on one of my meds and took me from 1mg 3x a day to 0.5mg 2x a day. I begged her not to, that I know what works for me, and she had all my records. She did not care. I asked to see a different provider at that time, and she would not change it back because her colleague “changed it for a reason, and if you keep it up we will flag you for abuse of a medication and take you off of it completely.” I struggled for months, and finally caved and asked if there was a different medication she could prescribe to help with my diagnosis. (Also would like to point out that one of the CNA’s was constantly advocating for me, and trying to figure out a solution to get me back on my regular dose. She was incredible, but she left the office about a month ago) The provider agreed to put me on a medication, and within 8 weeks I was having severe side effects from this new medication. I called the office distraught and asking to come in to see the doctor to help me and also see if I could stop the new medication cold turkey. I was scheduled for an appointment 3 days out, and told to stop the medication. The next day was horrible, and I called again in distress. Absolutely no help; just we will see you on Friday. Get a call later that day that they scheduled the appointment wrong, and can I come in on Thursday? Yes, fine. Schedule that, and 30 minutes later I get a call saying that they can’t keep that appointment either and I HAD to see my initial provider who put me on the medication. She has no availability until the follow Wednesday! I saw I can’t make it that long, can you please schedule me a telehealth, can I see another provider just to make sure I’m ok and figure out the next step? No and no. At this point I am not doing well at all, and I am beyond stressed and frustrated. They say that I can come in on Thursday of that week with the other provider but I have to drive to the Hagerstown office. I just had an emergency surgery and missed 15 days of work, and in my hysteria I am also stressed about missing more work, so I beg them for a better solution. That’s when I am told that I will not be seen by anyone except my initial provider (again) and she will not see me until NOVEMBER 6 (two and a half weeks out from when this happened) and that the medication she prescribed at my last visit will last me until then. Then, the receptionist, proceeds to explain why with very personal details about my treatment. Things that she should not know, nor be repeating at the front desk. Long story short: I ended up in the ER and was taken care of, and then went to the metal health crisis center who referred me to Saving Lives Urgent Care. Went in as a walk in the next day and was put back on my original dose of medication and got a new therapist and psychiatrist same day. I canceled all my appointments at Outreach and left the practice. Do NOT go here if you need any type of help- they won’t give it to you!
Dr. Ifeji is a great dr. And nurse Alyssa has been helping to save my life for years now. I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
Great place and all around the best people! I have felt very welcomed since day one.
This is a very nice and welcoming place! Kelly is absolutely great and always willing to help! I'm always in and out when I'm there and that's a plus! I recommend these services to anyone in the area looking for mental… health or substance abuse treatment! 😊
They were able to get me in last minute and Kelly is great!
I love this place, everyone is so nice and they want what is best for you. Alyssa is amazing, she is always so helpful no matter what I have going on, she always helps out.
I love outreach recovery! I don’t know what I would do without Alyssa she helps me so much she is the best! Also, Kelly Murray is very helpful! Anyone looking for treatment come to Outreach recovery
Alyssa is great. Very helpful and easy to talk too, as if she's part of the family.
I love this place. I’ve been going here for over a year now they care they don’t judge, and they get you through the worst part of your life. Being a year so over May 30th they helped me through that and instead of… giving me Suboxone, I took the sublocate shot which is amazing. I would definitely recommend them. They really are an amazing staff.
This place absolutely sucks. The front desk staff are friendly but every time that I’m here, my Dr. takes 10+ minutes to get on the video call. He never starts my appointment at my scheduled time and is always late. I… DO NOT recommend the Frederick location at all.
I want to thank everyone at outreach Frederick for everything you do especially Alyssa You go far and beyond what you're paid to do and it means the world to me. When I come in and you're the person that helps me I'm… excited you make me feel like a human being and you don't ever judge. You're the best keep it up. You guys have saved my life and many others... I Love you guys
