Silver Maple Recovery – Massillon

Today I can truly say that Silver Maple saved me when I was able to save myself. The 30 day Inpatient program truly gave me all the strength, courage and understanding on how to be able to save myself. From day 1 when I… walked in to that large group of strangers looking like a drowned wet broke down palace. I was feeling mentally emotionally and physically exhausted and I knew that I could not live the life, be the person, do the things that had landed me there in the first place. By the Grace of God with my dedication, persistence and willingness that I had found in silver maple I walked out 30 days later a brand new healthier, smarter, and dead set mind made up NOTHING NOR ANYONE could ever even tempt me to want to go back to the drowned wet broke down palace I was 30 days earlier. The entire staff from the awesome housekeeper (Angela), all the great cooks (Charlie, Tiffany, TT) , the sweet and kind nurses GI GI, Christina, the wise and truly cares about you and not just there for a paycheck counselors (My Bobbi, Kristina, Mel,Joey, Vic, and Dennis), to the peer support that ensure we get our phone calls, drop offs and cigarettes daily (Vanessa, Cady, and Amanda) these people truly want to save lives and they sure helped me be able to save my own. And then we have the Intensive Outpatient Program that I have had the blessing, pleasure, and gratitude to be able to attend since my discharge from residential in April. Miss Judith Banks what can I say there's not enough words to describe this phenomenal woman. She knows her stuff and beyond. I have learned and soaked up all the wisdom, education, skills and tools that Miss Judy has thought all of us in her group. She definitely runs a grown up group and it can get hard and uncomfortable. But in that room during group with her you will find people who will genuinely care and love you as does Miss Judy. And when you aren't loving yourself fully that day you will have a amazing group of people who will pick you up and carry you if that's what you need from them on a bad day. I have made some very beautiful and genuine love filled relationships here the residential and outpatient programs that I know I'll have for the remainder of my life. I recommend and encourage all to choose silver maple for both a residential inpatient and aftercare of outpatient classes.

I love Silver maple ,IOP for loving on me and teaching me more in in patient,and most definitely out patient with Miss Judy.shes very professional,and good at wat she does,and she runs an adult class,and takes no BS. I… feel like I'm able to learn n actually look forward to class everyday...I also made some friends at the sober living,I love to show up early n get laps in,and see everybody who supports me,and are real friends who don't want nothing from me except to see me succeed.im still willing to do whatever it takes ,and participate in my own recovery...as Mr.Dennis would say....these people care,and it's in there daily actions,I can't say enough good about every last staff member who I've learned from in patient,and for sure out patient with Miss Judy.she is an awesome,strong teacher that I wish I had when I was younger,and everybody have up on me,instead of TEACHING ME! Mrs. Judy is a amazing counselor that genuinely care for her clients well being. She very informative and enthusiastic. It's a blessing to have her advise me on my recovery.

This place was awful. The lady in charge, Cherry, is horrible. She definitely favors men over women. She treated the women in such a disgusting, rude way. She wouldn’t even talk to them or answer any questions. She was… just horrible.

Silver Maple is a wonderful place to go to get to the root of addiction. A wonderful program and staff that provides the tools needed to live a life of sobriety. An I.O.P , Intensive Out Patient after your 30 day… treatment is a wonderful class. Mrs. Judith Banks is a remarkable woman in her field of work. Helping people figure out the causes of there addiction, and providing many answers and solutions. I highly recommend Mrs. Judith Banks I.O.P class for anyone trying to get there life back together.

I want to raise up Mrs.Judy Banks for being a wonderful asset in my life!She has helped me manage my addiction and my intentions.We run a grown up group that focuses on the problem “me”…..So thank you Judy for all your… heart felt work that shows in the way I walk today!

Some staff were really nice but there was so much wrong with detoxing here.. Some of my things ended up missing. Took them 3 days to give me my clothes back the lady left them in the washer over night the one night then… the next forgot. As a detox patient, you are instantly mixed into the crowd of the.Regular patients that are already feeling better.While you are miserable, having to hear people run around opening and closing doors. They are the only place that's still wakes you up every four hours to get your blood pressure.It's awful. Coming up fentanyl, I had no order for suboxone in coming in, like how is that possible, like when you are coming in for that, you should automatically get suboxone to taper off of. It was kind of just a traumatizing experience being so sick and having to go thru taking care of yourself and I had to drive 1.5 hours to get there. As soon as my clothes didn't get back to me the second day after sitting in the wash.That's when I decided it was time to go. I was basically staying there to get comfort meds and watch everyone have a grand old time while i'm detoxing miserable. Separate detox from residential. Its just not fair to have to be around all that in the beginning stages. I went to silver Maple and Lorraine, which made me wanna try out this facility. But they are nothing alike, and I was told that that they were not run by the same people. And I could instantly tell, because the one in lorain was the reason that I came to this one because I loved it and just wanted to go somewhere different. But boy do I regret it

I'm so grateful that I went to Silver Mable ,life changing and it's all about my recovery !!! Thank you so much !!!!!

If you have a choice of where to go for recovery, choose anywhere else. The only positive aspect of this recovery center is that they have employees who are in recovery themselves which is great to see because you want… to have people helping you that have been in your shoes however at this place the employees that are in recovery themselves seem to have forgotten what it’s like to be in addiction and use their positions to act like they are better than the patients that they’re supposed to be helping. If you have mental health issues and or trauma, this is definitely not the place for you because they are not equipped. They also have an extremely poor understanding of what HIPAA laws are And what they entail Because an employee going home and telling their family or friends about a patient and their treatment, especially by name is definitely not Acceptable. If you do choose Silver Maple or if you are sentenced to go there, make sure that you don’t ask any questions Expecting a straight answer from anyone because they will consider that as being manipulating. If you knew any of the employees from the past and had any issues even 20 years ago just know they will use their authority against you.

My experience at Silver Maple Massillon was less then wonderful. I wish I could go into the issues in depth, discretion is the better part of valor. I will say the clinical director has no empathy for residents and… seems to take pleasure in the pain. Laughing when one is at there most venerable, solicit negative statements from other residents to defame one's character and again cause emotional stress to those in her charge. At least one of the Councillors is in the same mind set as her he threatened me indirectly. Fortunately the Executive Director does care, took time to hear me actually listen to me and seen what she was doing. He chose transfer me to the Lorain location, only putting a bandaid on the situation until she finds her next victim and I wasn't the 1st to be wronged in this manner almost costing me my freedom. I would like to thank Charlie, Tara, Chris, Randy, Angela and Katie the behind the seen staff are amazing at what they do to make the experience as emotionally painful as is to make the resident as comfortable and feel loved at the lowest point in our lives. The Councillors Suzy, Kaylee and Kristina are truly a credit to thier profession, they bring not just thier education but life experience genuine compassion for the sick and suffering in addiction and the family's that go through so much pain. I will never recommend this place to anyone. A family member was referred here by UH and the facility ended up loosing all of her life sustaining heart meds. Her BP was reading very low and should have been taken to the… hospital but instead they moved her to a sister facility where she fell, hit her head, and had a seizure. The director personally promised us that he would locate the meds and bring them to her. I provided him with all the info to make that possible and it was never done. He then stopped communicating with me. They also lost her clothes and shoes. I ended up finding out where her meds were and picking them up myself because they weren't capable. This facility owes a specific duty of care to people trying to get help and that was not provided and sadly she got hurt in the process. Very unprofessional and negligent.

I went thru inpatient, than outpatient IOP class with Mrs Judy, what a wonderful teacher . That program saved my life.

I absolutely love this program! Miss Judy Banks is a very nice woman and is very helpful and supportive for outpatient! I definitely would recommend her to ANYONE!

At first I did not want to partake in any treatment. But once I got in the door and detoxed it was better than expected. And then I chose to do my outpatient care with Mrs. Judy Banks and it got me prepared to get back… to LIFE and working in recovery. Thank you Solver Maple!

As a person in long term recovery I have been fortunate enough to have solid chunks of sobriety, mostly as a direct result of working the AA program. Due to a recent relapse I needed to get myself grounded and heading… in the right direction. Having been through inpatient treatment before at IBH, I was skeptical that going back to a residential facility would pay any dividends or teach me anything I didn't already know. That being said, Silver Maple exceeded my expectations. Everyone on staff from top to bottom made me feel welcome from the moment I got there. The group settings were incredibly helpful and provided an atmosphere suitable for learning as well as a safe place to share. Thank you to the counselors and nurses for helping me to get back on this road of recovery. I love you all.

As a former participant in the IOP program, I want to express my appreciation for Judy Banks as an exceptional instructor. What stood out to me about her group was the mature environment where real-life issues were… addressed. She is straightforward and no-nonsense, yet maintains a warm and friendly demeanor, coupled with a refreshing honesty. My experience in Ms. Banks' class was more enlightening than any other outpatient group I have attended and completed. I strongly recommend her class to anyone seeking outpatient treatment; she is truly an outstanding teacher.

Mrs.Judy in IOP is amazing, I think she's clairvoyant cuz she knows u even if u don't know urself, a true blessing un the recovery process... Charlie, Cherry 🍒, and Kristina need raises cuz they go outta there way to… help the clients! I've even had the nurses go outta the way to help me....I decided to go into the sober living house here and so far they seem to Wana help you figure out ur life. I'm really grateful for this place.

Silver Maple in Massillon absolutely saved my life the last year and a half. I went from detox to residential which I loved all of the staff counselors, nurses, and doctors they had there when I was a resident. The… classes helped and I learned a lot being it my first treatment facility I ever been to. The food was great also . A great overall experience. I graduated from residential and went to sober living at Silver Maple and IOP. The IOP director (Judy) was one of the best teachers I could have asked for. Her experience and knowledge and life experiences made IOP another great way to learn and get information about me and my addiction. Her class is great and I recommend it. Thank you silver maple !

I've been attending the Massillon IOP group and I'm almost done, so I can say throughout this whole experience it has been great! I look forward to attending these groups, and Judy makes the groups so fun and REAL! She… always says she runs an "adult group" and that's what makes it realistic and actually enjoyable. Judy truly wants to see us succeed and you can tell she wants to be here to help us. Thank you times a million for all the laughs and lessons I can use in my life/recovery. :)

This place is truly a blessing I can say this place gave me a new life from treatment to sober living to IOP everyone here has worked so hard to help me change my life I just hope that all the staff here knows how… amazing they are you all rock. If you want a new life free from drugs and alcohol this is the best place for you

IOP saved my life and my family also. The minute I walked into the doors at Silver Maples I felt welcomed and even though I thought I had nothing else to learn from the classes to my surprise the second day of my… attendance I began to learn. Today I look forward to coming everyday. I get to own my own program. That makes me feel proud of myself and keeps me stable and gives me the will to move forward because now know my life matters also no matter how old one is. Mrs. Judy is a very straight forward nice and caring person and is always there for anyone who needs to talk about a person, a fear, a feeling, or any of life's issues. I feel very comfortable talking individual orin group. I Love the fact that she runs a grown up group. It's like we all are helping one another to grow in our sobriety. Mrs. Judy makes the class fun and is full of knowledge and supports us all. She is a great asset for me and my life.

I am now participating in the IOP program and the program itself plus Mrs. Judy is a hidden gem. She’s helped me in more ways than one and for that I am thankful. I highly recommend!

I first came to silver maple on January 9th 2024. The staff, and everyone was incredible! I unfortunately had a relapse and came back on June 24th 2024. My second experience was also incredible ! This place has… COMPLETELY changed my life for the better. They really care, and they are really there to help us in need. I now have 195 days clean! ( over 6 months of sobriety) . This place literally saved my life, and is the reason I get to see my daughter more and more these days! This place gave me coping skills I never knew I needed to stay sober. I wanna give a special thanks to the counselors, nurses, and cooks. You guys helped me in a serious time of need. It is because of this place that my life has turned for the better. I’m even about to buy a car soon! This place opened my mind to better life. Thank you silver maple. I love all of you.

Absolutely worse nursing staff I have ever dealt with in my life . This includes the practitioners . I have seen a lot of treatment facilities and this takes the cake. Nurses act like they don’t even like you . I was… never returned items that belonged to me ether. When I called the nurses kept answering and would never help me or put me through to whom I needed to talk to. The counselors are great that’s what the one star is for. I hope they fired the group of nurses that would not do work and gossip all day , as well as make you feel awful just for asking for a medication.

Do not come here. Complete incompetence as far as even calling them after you leave. It’s not informative. I had so many people I called to get their just basic information. They should be ashamed of themselves. It’s… embarrassing
