I couldn’t reach anyone about a Veteran with vascular dementia.
I'd rather go to the VA Clinic than the regular hospital. They treat ya better.
Outstanding
The people at the VA are wonderful. Michelle at registration was so welcoming. Dr. Till did an amazing job getting my dad's (Don Ahlgren) eye prescription created. Jackie ordered my dad's glasses. She was so kind to him… and got his glasses back to him quickly. My dad's friend, Mike who does his blood work came out of his office to visit my dad. He waited with him while I got the car and loaded his wheelchair into my car. At 96 my dad doesn't leave St. Mary's very often. So grateful that these outings to the VA are so positive and uplifting for him.God Bless you all. .
Very good service and workers!
This facility is the best
The personal are very professional appointments are very close to being on time. Service is excellent.
Terrible communication, tough to get ahold of the nurse they make you speak with to even book an appointment. Just overall a very disappointing experience when I thought this was a benefit I earned
I feel much better about my care since switching to the Lorain outpatient clinic, from another NE Ohio clinic. I hate having to drive further for appointments, but my PC has done more for me than my previous doctor,… helped me figure out why my back hurts and the gentleman I saw at physical therapy helped my nerve pain less severe and frequent with one visit and simple exercises instead of more medicine. I can't wait to see how much PT can help my middle and lower back as well.
I recently had an appointment with my doctor at the clinic so I arranged a ride one week prior with the Lorain county veterans service commission transportation division. I called 24 hours before to verify no answer on… the ride. Come the day of my appointment I wait till 9:00 to get a confirmation and a ride to show up nothing. So I had to find my own ride which got me there 10-15 minutes too late but I still tried to go anyways while I was at the front desk talking, my doctor's nurse come out Mr Cooper Mr Cooper, I said over here. She said oh you're just getting here we can't see you today. So it's quite the game if you try to survive at that clinic and do not have your own transportation thank you Doctor Von K
I would like recognition to go to Dr. Ashley Kenzik for her superior work in treating my diabetes. I was taking 3 shots of Novolog and 2 shots of Lantus per day along with a weekly shot of Ozembic. I now take solely one… shot of Ozembic per week. And with the Ozembic my weight has gone from 305 to 258. In my opinion, one could not ask for a better physician than Dr. Kenzik. 08/14/25, this is to bring recognition to Dr. Pileski and Norma Thomas. I went to the civilian ER this morning for swelling in my calf and both feet. Doctor said I needed a certain medication asap and sent prescription to civilian pharmacy. Couldn't get hold of them all day. Norma called me to check on my status, and when I informed her of the situation she put in to have that med. shipped overnight. Can always trust the VA.
I have been going to the Lorain VA since roughly 2020 and they have treated me very well and have be concerned with me as a patient. I am grateful for the treatment I have received there.
Some people care and most don't, this has been my experience in Sheffield village. Most Dr.s (the outside world) try to go the extra mile to help you if you are in pain..these people question you. I would really like to… drop the Dr. I have now, for a different one. Very frustrating! Update..got a new Dr. and was explained alot more about my condition. This is what I have learned about dealing with the V.A. or anything dealing with the government. If you don't feel they are listening to you, you have the right to drop them for a different person. Right now..I am satisfied with my new Dr. I will give 4 stars and hope I don't have to find another one.
Dr. Pileski has the most understanding and compassionate bedside manner that I have seen in my lifetime. She listened, she took the time to understand my health overall and made me feel so incredibly cared for. I cannot… recommend her enough. Thank you so much!!!
Shout out to my team at the VA Outpatient Clinic! Especially to Dr. GRGAT, Michael Joyce and Dr. Y and her team! Set me up with the care I needed after UH kicked me to the curb. Pretty much saved my life in my opinion.
Doesn’t listen to patient complaints
The staff and doctors are great people.
Messaged my team Friday, followed up same day and came in Monday for work to be done. In and out front desk was helpful, and all other team members are attentive to efficiency and timeliness.
Wow,... been over 10 years since this review. They sure have gone down hill. Doctors are always busy, and the nurses can't treat a simple ear infection anymore. Covid sure has made the medical field less available,… smart, and useful. These guys keep this up, and I'll get my antibiotics from a vet. 😶 Never had a problem, Dr. Cindy Potter is always helpful. Staff always polite, and fast.
I love this VA Clinic being here in Sheffield right down the street from my house. The think I do not like is they built this nice new VA and didn’t put a pharmacy in. That was just stupid. So now when your sick and… need medication they have to mail it to you so you get your meds a week later. I hat good is that. You need the meds now not later. It was nice when Lorain had the VA and you leave appt and go right over and get your meds. Parma had a pharmacy so why not the Lorain County VA. Need to add a Pharmacy! So instead of having a pharmacy my Med is coming from Arizona what sense does that make!??
By the best experience I’ve had in a long time. They are patient, empathetic, and fast at getting you going for your appointments. They are thoughtful and amazing
Where do ALL these bad reviews come from????? Been going here since they opened (including old building) and ALWAYS treated well snd respect.
