Just transferred to this VA. And I like it. They have alot of services they offer.
One of the best V.A. medical centers I’ve visited, and I’ve visited a few. The providers and staff seem to genuinely care about helping veterans receive quality treatment. Enrollment was easy and appointments were… expedited. Very happy with quality of care. Thanks to Lebanon VA staff and providers.
It took 3 years to get scheduled for an MRI and they canceled a week prior. It took 14 months to see an optometrist. I waited 8 months to see an ENT who canceled the day before I arrived after making arrangements to get… there. It’s a 3 hour round trip for me and they couldn’t care less. They fit in perfectly with the incompetence and carelessness of the VA.
Poorly managed, run by Incompetent leadership, and under staffed.
If you're looking for quality care ..look elsewhere
I was definitely surprised all they had done and accomplished for me in one day! All my tests, med supplies needed, and that extra step in care from one appt to the other. The construction is a definite burden but I was… glad how diligent the staff was today! Doctors to nurses to schedulers/chrck.ins, to the staff that helps get you around from area to area.,and the pharmacy. Thank you for listening to my situation and being professionals.
I just moved to York pa about a year ago and have been going to the Lebanon VA Medical Center and have received excellent care. I have seen the endocrinologist, the kidney doctor, and also my Primary care physician is… at the York pa clinic. Thank you for keeping me alive is all I can say.
This place is truly impressive, just not in any way related to actual healthcare. Every experience I have had with their medical staff, with the exception of dental, has been an absolute masterclass in wasting time and… energy. The nurses act like basic human interaction is an unbearable inconvenience, doctors call off and then magically reschedule appointments 30, 60, or 90 days out, and when you finally do get seen, listening to concerns or answering questions appears to be optional. Even better, they somehow find time to accuse you of seeking medication you clearly stated you do not want and are not asking for. At this stage, I would probably receive more compassion, attention, and medical insight from a butcher with a folding table. I was actually excited to start improving my health when I became eligible to be seen at the VA. Now, thanks to their outstanding commitment to disappointment, I am right back to ignoring my healthcare because dealing with them is somehow worse than doing nothing.
Had mutiple geat experiences
Best er, best ICU, pharmacy is great. All the treat me with respect.
1. Lebanan VA patient advocates, while initially seem nice, do nothing to solve your problems. I've had to call the white house hotline several times to get them to do the job. This last time i called the patient… advocate office 16x with no resolution! 2. Lebanon VA prosthetics office definitely doesn't work for the patient at all! Applied for a ramp to access my home giving full details. The 1st time was denied. I appealed and was approved. A ramp specialist did an estimate and gave it to the Lebanon VA. Never heard anything back. Tried to call (14 March 2026) and discuss with no viable response from (sounded like from rep) Stef, chief of prosthetics. Called wh hotline (7 May 2026). Received call from sounded like pronounced Stef Morland, from prosthetics. She said a letter would be sent (it's only 7 mos late) ramp denied because not enough space available. I told her there is space available. She became very kurt and would not discuss further and could appeal the decision. Why is it so hard for deserving veterans to be denied the help they need to access their home???
IN A WORLD WHERE ITS MUCH EASIER TO DEGRADE AND COMPLAIN I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLIMENT A FEW OF THE LEBANON VA HOSPITAL DRS & NURSES. DR. STEPHANIE BANJA ( PODIATRY) DR. DANIEL KOTEK ( PULMONARY) DR. PAN ( GASTERITIS OR)… RADIOLOGY DEPT, LIVER DEPT, EDEMA DEPT. IVE HAD SOME HEALTH ISSUES AND NEEDED THE LEBANON VA'S CARE AND THEY STEPPED UP TO THAT PLATE AND WERE THERE FOR ME. I HAVE COME TO KNOW ALOT OF THESE DR'S & NURSES AND I HAVE COME TO LOVE AND RESPECT THEM VERY MUCH. BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO CONDEM THESE FOLK'S THINK ABOUT THE CONSTANT DEMAND'S THEY ARE ALSO UNDER 24/7. TO MY LEBANON VA TEAM THANK YOU ALL FOR SHOWING ME CARE AND COMPASSION DURING TIME'S THAT IVE FELT SOO VERY LOST AND SCARED. GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR YOUR CARE AND SACRED COMPASSION. RESPECTFULLY. MR. STEVEN ALLEN ADRIAN SHANNON. US ARMY ( INFANTRY)
Always a warm and sincere hello from everyone you walk past. Love this place.
I have been coming here for over 20 years for all my medical needs. I am a female vet, and my provider, the staff, ancillary services, pharmacy are all top notch. I happily drive the 60+ miles to continue getting this… exceptional care!!
After an intake, I wanna ask questions, the social worker didn't seem to understand half the questions or couldn't come up with half the answers. And when I told her, I have to record this cause, I have a traumatic… brain injury, she said, somebody will contact you later on and hung up on me, not an extension, not. Anything so I contacted patient. Advocate have I heard back from them and contacted the unit and social work with Lebanon at 4828 extension. It's unacceptable to me, I'm a green beret with 5 combat tours, I don't expect more, and I sure as hell don't expect less. If somebody could go back to me, maybe they'll get back to me on Whatever.\nThis is a review.I would appreciate it thank you very much.If nobody told the workers there, thank you for everything you guys do cause. We do appreciate it\nWith wa
If you are looking for a hospital where most everyone is respectful, greets you with a smile, thanks you for your military service, but are grossly incompetent medical practitioners, this is the place for you! My… elderly father always boasted how he never had to wait at his appointments and always received glowing medical reports. Then, in 2025 he went to the VA ER with severe upper back pain, to the point he could barely get out of bed (he blamed it on a load of laundry he did the previous day, presuming he must have pulled a shoulder muscle). The VA medical team assessed him and sent him home with some pain killers. But a pharmacist friend of ours in Maryland said, "It sounds like your dad has pneumonia." We dismissed it, figuring the "skilled team" at the VA knew better than our pharmacist friend. Man, were we wrong! Five days later my dad got rushed back to the VA medical center and with septic shock, severe pneumonia, over five liters of highly infected dark brown fluid in his lungs, chest pains, shortness of breath, blood pressure in the 60s! Multiple times he almost died and was hanging on by a thread. But he slowly started to improve with big doses of IV antibiotics and a line draining fluid out of his lung cavity. As he slowly woke up out of almost a coma state I would come to visit and check up on him at least twice a day (morning and evening). Every time I came, if there was a tray of food, it would be stone cold, having sat there for hours, and not a single person had tried to feed him. I had to spoon feed him broth and soft foods in order for him to get some nutrition. Heck, the nurses never even helped him drink his Ensure protein drinks! Then when he finally got moved to the VA ICU he had a deep pressure wound on his backside due to having laid on a cord in the ER for days on end! The pressure wound took over a month to fully heal. After several weeks (the last stage being a general care room with PT and OT) the VA determined my dad was well enough to be discharged to a rehab clinic. But just six days later in the rehab place my dad again started to experience shortness of breath and chest pains and the rehab clinic called for an ambulance. Thankfully the VA did not have any beds available in their ER and he was taken to WellSpan (also in Lebanon). In less than 24 hours WellSpan determined my dad had a serious heart condition, with an ejection fraction of just 20%! They ran a catheter a found one artery 100% blocked and another artery 90% blocked! For the my dad to be in the care of the VA for over a month and for them to never diagnose this major heart issue is beyond comprehension. They are not just guilty of negligence and incompetence, but malpractice! And to think the Lebanon VA Medical Center is rated one of the best VAs in the country is a sobering statistic. To conclude, if you have any desire to be treated by competent medical staff, avoid this place like the plague!
I don’t post stuff like this often, but I’m done staying quiet when it comes to veteran care—especially prosthetics. Back in August I had an abscess form on the back of my residual limb. What started as an ER visit… turned into being transferred to Penn State Hershey for surgery. After that, I spent three months doing wet-to-dry packing in a golf-ball-sized wound until it healed from the inside out. For those three months I couldn’t wear my prosthetic, which meant I couldn’t walk. Once I finally healed, my team at Hanger Prosthetics recommended trying a different socket system to prevent this from happening again. The VA approved an airlock socket that combines suction suspension and pin-lock. We gave it a real try—but the restriction in knee mobility made basic things like getting in and out of my car difficult, and the suction component caused significant pain at the bottom of my residual limb to the point I felt like I couldn’t wear the leg at all. Hanger’s recommendation was to switch back to a pin-lock, but add a flexible inner socket to better handle volume fluctuation. (For the record, I’ve dealt with limb-volume changes for a long time, and after the abscess my limb size changed again once the inflammation fully resolved.) That meant I needed the Lebanon VA to write a new order for a new socket. Here’s the part I need to say out loud: during my visit, I was met with visible frustration and hesitation, and I was told—directly—by the prosthetic doctor that she “pays taxes” and needed to think about the financial situation of ordering a new socket so soon, because “we can’t just be trying things” if it “wastes tax dollars.” That was incredibly discouraging to hear as a veteran whose mobility and daily function depend on a properly fitting prosthetic. We didn’t know the airlock socket wouldn’t work for me until we tried it—and the goal was preventing future breakdowns and keeping me walking. The order was ultimately written, but I’m posting this because veteran care should never come with shame, guilt, or comments that frame mobility as a burden. Prosthetic care is healthcare. Functional mobility matters. If leadership at the Lebanon VA sees this, I hope it’s taken seriously and handled appropriately—because veterans deserve to be treated like people, not line items.
After having to use the Lebanon VA Center , including the primary care , the emergency room , radiology and pharmacy , all I can say is the facility is the best care I have ever received. The er is staffed with high… caliber professional who care . Thank You to the entire staff at this facility , you go way beyond to help the veterans!!
Available.
Everyone is so friendly. No shortage of finding someone to help you.
A recent hospitalization has changed how I view this place. I have had good experiences in the past, especially in my primary care and mental health in 18. Now, I feel like this place doesn't care. I spent days trying… to speak to someone about how I felt. My social worker, Micki, ignored me and didn't want to talk about my problems. The nurses helped me but it wasn't a counselor. It made me feel worse to have to ask to talk and be told later and then she never came back. What is the point of a hospital without the help it promises. I don't recommend for a veteran in crisis.
Got a new provider Manish who is pretty awesome! "doctor" Maddukuri is just plain bad. He will argue with everything you say just for the sake of arguing. He must always be right and have the last word. He will dismiss… any concerns you have. Doesn't even bother to ask about health concerns and heaven forbid you ask for any tests of any kind. The single only thing this "doctor" is good for is putting in referrals to be seen by actual doctors. Anything you get from this guy you will have to fight tooth and nail for because he certainly is not looking out for anyone. At the end of every visit I ask myself why did I bother driving out here. Just put in a referral over the phone since that is the only "care" he can provide. Prescribes medications that have dangerous interaction with other drugs he prescribes. He simply does not care as long as he gets you out of his office in under 10 minutes. Takes forever to respond to any messages or calls if at all.
I felt compelled to write this review because of the wonderful care my 88 years old father has received. The respect, kindness and concern displayed by every one of the Doctors, nurses and personnel we have encountered… is absolutely amazing. While they are too numerous to mention, I particularly wanted to give special gratitude to our home care nurse, Vinnie…my father just adores her and she is amazing. I also wanted to express my appreciation to Lorett, who tended to my father’s wounds yesterday. Lorett was incredible and so kind. Likewise were the doctor, Rachel and the staff in the emergency area. In closing, I want to state that this VA hospital and all associated medical providers and staff should be recognized for its/their high degree of standard, but more importantly for the compassion and respect displayed to our Veterans. Thank you and happy holidays.
