Burning Tree Lodge – Elgin Detox and Rehab Services

Burning Tree Lodge – Elgin is recorded as offering residential treatment. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Burning Tree Lodge gave me far more than 90 days of treatment—it gave me the tools, support, consistency, and accountability I needed to completely change the direction of my life. I came to Burning Tree needing… hopeless and broken, but I left with something I never could have built on my own: a real foundation for recovery. Through doing the work, showing up every day, being honest, and allowing others to hold me accountable, I experienced what I can only describe as a complete psychic change. Burning Tree also gave me the space to find and build my relationship with God and connect with the fellowship of A.A. Those two things have become the foundation of my life today. The lessons, relationships, and principles I learned there continue to show up in every part of my life. I truly believe Burning Tree Lodge is the Harvard of the 12 Steps. The depth of the work, the commitment of the people, and the environment they create are unlike anything I have experienced. It is not simply a place you go to get sober—it is a place where you learn how to live differently. The ripple effects of what happens on that sacred ground are immeasurable. The investment you make in yourself there continues to pay dividends long after you leave. I am incredibly grateful for Burning Tree Lodge, the people who walked beside me, the people who challenged me, and the people who refused to let me settle for anything less than a life of purpose and recovery. If you are willing to do the work, Burning Tree will give you the tools and the opportunity to build something extraordinary. 90 days changed my life. The work continues, and for the first time in a long time, I am filled with hope for what comes next. I will forever be grateful for Burning Tree Lodge.

This place literally saved my life. I don't know a higher praise than that. They taught me how to live, not just how to get sober. If you are at your rock bottom and you're willing to do anything...this is the place.… Hands down the best decision (aside from proposing to my wife lol) that I've ever made.

If you are really trying to get sober this is hands down one of the best places in the country to go. The staff here really care and are in it for the right reasons and it is truly a place that was created to help… people instead of just another treatment center that is in it for the money. This was not my first rodeo in treatment but it was by far the best experience I have ever had by far and was given the experience and tools I needed to not only get sober but to live the happy and fulfilling life I always wanted.

I could not be more grateful for Burning Tree Lodge, its staff, and the community of clients I had the privilege of being part of. After struggling to stay sober, I found the structured, disciplined, Twelve Step–focused… program to be exactly what I needed. Burning Tree gave me the foundation, tools, and support to begin healing and rebuilding my life. If you have a genuine desire to get and stay sober and are willing to go to any lengths, I cannot recommend Burning Tree Lodge highly enough. I am sincerely grateful to every staff member, counselor, and client who walked alongside me during my journey. Their honesty, compassion, accountability, and community made a lasting impact on my life, and I will always be grateful for the path they helped me find.

Never go to this POS place, I had a guy put razor blades in my stuff and they accused me of doing it, crackhead named Patrick later confessed to multiple people he did it. And these trash tried to get me arrested and… sent to prison. What a waste of time and money. Not just that they make people do maintenance and they had a thing called dig your own grave where they made people dig Graves for themselves. David Elliot and the rest of the management are trash human beings. The head of recovery got caught with blow and hookers at a cheap hotel, F this place.

Couldn’t even begin how to say how much BTL helped. From the staff to the programs it was a life changing experience. It helps as long as you are open to everything.

BTL Lodge is a high accountability short term treatment center. That being said the staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to your recovery and the work required for a true recovery, not just… sobriety. Heavy emphasis on the 12 steps, AA meetings every day, and life skills included. If you are truly interested in recovery and not just checking a box this place fits the bill. Also they accept insurance which was a plus for me.

Our son was at Burning Tree Lodge for 30 days. The care he received was exceptional. The staff was in constant contact with us. I do not know where he would be without the guidance from Burning Tree Lodge. I cannot say… enough good things about Eric, Josh, Scott, Chance and Shanna. Thanks for saving our son’s life.

Burning Tree is a great recovery center. The staff is invested and truly care about their clients. The experience is difficult at times, naturally, but the program is phenomenal and very worthwhile. The change I’ve gone… through is unlike anything I’ve experience previously. If you or a loved one believe you need treatment then this is a wonderful place to receive it.

Burning Tree has changed our sons life It is an incredible place with the most incredible staff. Every Substance abuse rehabilitation center should be run just like this. Our son is just beginning his sobriety but we… believe they have given him the tools, knowledge and support to make it. The knowledge they gave us as his parents frankly blew us away. We will forever be grateful to them.

I attended Burning Tree Lodge for 66 days and the experience entirely changed my perspective and relationship with alcohol. I no longer have daily cravings, I have developed a relationship with my higher power, and I am… surrounded by a community who is compassionate and cares deeply about my success. Without BTL, I most likely would still be the sad, depressed, empty girl who didn’t believe she had anything to live for. I can now honestly say that my life is completely healing in all areas and I have faith during the days that feel overwhelming. If you feel anything like I did—scared, hopeless, and vacant— I urge you to attend BTL to see the differences you will experience in your mind, body, and spirit.

Burning Tree Lodge saved my life to put it shortly. As someone who was very skeptical and lost heading into treatment; BTL gave me the opportunity to reinvigorate myself, and develop new relationships with like minded… individuals who want nothing but the best for themselves, and their peers. The staff are all rockstars and the fact that they can all personally relate to what every single client is going through on a personal level makes the experience so much more better. Their focus on the 12 steps as the solution is something that I will continue to use and implement in my life going forward, and their rigorous commitment to maintaining relationships and setting up aftercare plans for all of their clients is something that I believe is truly remarkable. I can’t say enough amazing things about this place and BTL will always hold a special place in my heart forever. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to reconnect with my higher power, and establish a new strong community of likeminded brothers and sisters!

I can’t say enough about the incredible journey I had at BTL. The staff are supportive and helped me do hard things. I experienced breakthrough and unwavering support. This was my first experience with treatment & with… the structure of BTL, the environment they created and the new experience with the steps- I know this will have a lasting impact on my life. The family weekend was truly life changing for myself & my family. We will forever be grateful.

I am very pleased with this place and the way I was treated from the phone call of desperation to the day I left. This place helped me better understand the program of AA and provided me with the tools to continue… working the step. I was able to work with a sponsor that they helped me find and gave me the ability to work through the majority of the steps with a clear understanding of each one. It helped me build a stronger relationship with my higher power. The staff was so helpful and kind I could not have been treated better. The place was clean and food was amazing. I made the right choice and it saved my life I truly believe it to be sacred grounds. I wished I could have found Burning Tree Lodge earlier. Highly recommended

If you are looking for a place that both your loved one and your family will receive real, raw, life changing recovery then look no more. The staff, all the way up to the top, have created a therapy program that heavily… immerses your loved one into the 12 steps, allowing them to have a real experience with their Higher Power. There is real accountability and structure. The clients end up forming lasting relationships and they end up holding each accountable and lifting each other up. The therapies that they work with the clients resonate! The clients although may be kicking and screaming coming in, realize this place just changed their life forever! The investment made into the Family Program is one that is pivotal into the recovery of not only the family but your loved one. If there is anything but a 5 star review for the staff and program here, just keep scrolling. David Elliott created something truly magical here. And, I can't thank him, Brook, Josh, Shana, Dave, Chance, the entire staff, and lastly Eric (He is such an amazing guy and my savior) for allowing my son an experience and redirecting his soul!

So grateful for Burning Tree Lodge! Everyone was so helpful and I truly felt they cared about me as a family member. Eric and Scott were always attentive to any concern I had. I actually don’t know how Eric remembered… to always follow up with me about things and it just felt like they went above and beyond for me and I wasn’t even a client, but a family member. I felt the family program events were very helpful and I learned more about the disease and the effects than I have from any support group. I also learned invaluable lessons about how to communicate which will help me with all my relationships. This program is 12 step immersive, and I am seeing the positive impacts of that with my loved one in life after treatment. Burning tree lodge helped my loved one face uncomfortable things while also feeling part of a tight knit family because that’s just how the staff hold themselves. It truly feels that they are on a life saving mission. If you or your loved one are ready to make the change, I would recommend BTL any day!

The staff was amazing! The accommodations were amazing. We held each other accountable for cleaning up, cooking, gardening, chores, etc. The gym was well equipped. We went to outside meetings in the Austin area for… awhile. Also H&I’s were brought in from the surrounding areas. Regardless we had some form of meeting every single day. A significant focus was placed on working the steps of AA, etc. This was my first experience in rehab, but several other patients that were in at the same time as me, that had been to multiple rehab facilities, that this is not always the case. The counselors were also amazing! Lots of meditation. I plan on returning at some point for Alumni Day at some point.

I came to Burning Tree Lodge as a broken man with a broken spirit. The intense focus on the solution (based in The 12 Steps) and how to actually apply it to my life was the change in my life I needed. The clinical… staff, technicians, counselors, and admin staff all have personal experience in addiction and alcoholism and are uniquely qualified to help those at their lowest. I owe a debt of Gratitude to BTL for helping me find myself as a new man in Recovery. Thank you!
