I am giving this clinic one star primarily because I have had a positive experience with the individual my daughter sees at the school. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the clinic has been extremely… disappointing. I have had several concerns regarding communication, diagnosis, and medication management. I was recently informed that my daughter does not have a formal diagnosis, yet she has been prescribed ADHD medication. When I questioned this, I was told that they could not diagnose her but could prescribe medication based on her insurance. I was also told that they believe she is experiencing stress, anxiety, and trauma. As a parent, I have serious concerns about my child receiving medication when I was not aware that she did not have an official diagnosis. When my daughter’s primary care doctor questioned why she was taking medication without a diagnosis, communication from the clinic became extremely difficult. Her therapist and case manager appeared unsure of how to address my concerns and essentially made it seem as though the matter was outside of their responsibility. Today, I called the clinic regarding my daughter’s appointment and the medication that was prescribed. I specifically asked to speak with Ms. Jacqueline. I was immediately transferred to the medication voicemail without anyone asking for my daughter’s name or attempting to understand the reason for my call. I called back and requested to speak with her again, and I was transferred to the same voicemail. When I called a third time and asked again, I was told, “I’m going to continue to send you to med.” When I asked for the employee’s name, I was told, “Operator.” As a parent, I expect clear communication, transparency, appropriate evaluation, and the opportunity to have my questions and concerns regarding my child’s care taken seriously. Unfortunately, I have not received that level of communication or confidence from this clinic. I appreciate the individual my daughter has worked with at the school, which is the only reason I am giving one star. However, based on my overall experience, my daughter will no longer be receiving services through this clinic. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously and improves its communication and medication-management practices for other families.
I love the case managers and therapists. They are kind, compassionate, and genuinely listen to their patients. Unfortunately, my experience with the medication clinic and provider has been the complete opposite. This is… the fourth time I've had to go to the emergency room or crisis center because my prescriptions were misplaced, I was told they were never prescribed, or they were never sent to my pharmacy. The repeated medication errors have caused unnecessary stress and have left me without medications I've been taking consistently for the past three years. Because of these ongoing issues, I am in the process of transferring my care to another provider. I simply cannot continue dealing with the frustration and risk of repeatedly running out of essential medication.
melinda not nice.
Tell me why there is no communication between the departments INSIDE the same building. Why can’t you guys figure out your own mistakes? Why do I have to call THREE separate numbers? Two of which never answer the phone… just to figure out and right YOUR mistakes YOUR people have made. Who does this help? Certainly not the people coming to you for help for their mental health struggles. Here is a tip: if the pharmacy is less than a hundred feet from the med clinic they should be able to communicate between each other. Why is this so much more difficult than it has to be? Almost as if you want to punish the people who come to you for help.
This place is the ABSOLUTE worst. They have been giving me the wrong meds for months. I talk to supervisors...they do it again the next month....they have told me it was ok to take OTC painkillers when it actually… causes toxicity. The most dangerous thing a doctor can do is give out the wrong medicine....this place has done it to me at least 5 or 6 times....with LETHAL MEDICATION. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE
They never call you back and when messing with your meds they don’t give any guidance. I’ve been going here for years and I now know nobody that works there except 1 person and it really has went downhill. I feel like… they aren’t taking mental health seriously 😒
I have always heard good things from others about Hope. I reach out to them for services and my therapist is the best. Im grateful that God placed her in my life to help me, along with the case manager and the Doctor.… Grateful and Thankful for you guys. God bless.
Dealing with long term stress a trauma with my kids experience at hope because they felt like a lab rat for medication and it was a revolving door of case management and therapists. Long term damage has been done.
Edited 1/20: I need to edit my review. This place has gone to pot. Ella and Dr Horn are both gone and they’ve replaced them with a bunch of nurses that are very difficult to understand and quite rude. I’ve been having… horrible panic attacks ever since they ripped me off my medications. I had been on these same medications for 20 years. Now I can’t leave my house. I can’t believe how quickly this place has deteriorated. As it stands now I can no longer recommend this place. I LOVE Hope. They’ve absolutely changed my life. I’ve been coming here for many years. They’ve got me balanced out on my medications. I’ve been seeing them for therapy and medication. Although I have had a change in therapists I’ve liked both of them. I’ve seen both Ella and Dr Horn and they both listen to me and really care about me. I don’t know where I’d be without them. A perk is that all of it is free. Thank you for saving my life!
I called the Hope crisis line in the past. It was a safe place to get away for a day, but each time I went, I left feeling more hopeless than before. Called again today. They said they would come get me. It's been a… little over 2 hours. Nothing. I did call back and the woman on the phone said they would call soon. Nothing. Abandoned and feeling worse than when I called. It's time for me to find someplace else for my mental health, resources, etc. Update: They called at 10:30 pm. Way too late. No updates prior. Nothing. Leaving me to fend for myself before they called HOURS LATER. Too little too late.
Im very happy to give this review .im a older woman and I found myself needing alot of help getting my life sorted out .I had no idea how I went to Hope and at first it wasnt going well .But I didn't give up on them.and… they didn't give up on me Now im proud to say I was able to get my life back on track and im doing great I couldn't have done this with out the help of my team from Hope .I want to say to anyone needing help .be patient .hold your temper and give them a chance .they really want to help and will .dont give up on Hope or yourself
Thank you ❤️
I remember I used to come here every so often I think weekly or something we had snacks n talked to one another in a group
Hope helped me get a hold of myself so that I could see more clearly through trauma and grooming. I am living more honestly and more healthy that ever before. God bless them.
I can't recommend this place enough,Staff here are top-notch,its a very clean and welcoming center and I was able to find the the help and resources i need. I look forward to my journey of feeling better and secure,… you're in good hands here.
You guys open at 8 close at 5 bring work to your homes and are uneducated:)
People are starting to bug me at my home like your leaking private stuff
i went into hope today and this man by far wasnt on terms of conditions on trying to help so i left i specifically stated i was here on mental health issues in terms of recieving ssi lol he had every reason to not do so… at all
Don't waste your time here, just don't. If you're lucky, you might get a decent case worker but don't get attached, they'll get fired or quit eventually.
Thank you for most of all the smiling from all the lovely workers no problems occurred but willing to see where my time goes mostly to it be my mental health love peace grace hope.
Good resources for lower income patients of mental illness and recovery.
They help a lot on what you need you need someone to talk to they are there for you.
I’ve been with Hope for approximately 3 years now. They were a pivotal point in my recovery, my desire to be a productive individual, healing from severe trauma and mental illness. I have maintained close and consistent… professional relationships with the same team from when I started. While some faces are new, From Meeting with the Med team, the URC, Life and Peer coaching, therapy, group. Therapy, front desk, and even pharmacy. Im so grateful for what this community has provided for others and myself. Pleas don’t ever stop being you and what your team does. You are saving a life/lives 1 day at A time. Most Sincerly, Thankyou.
