About Northwest Center for Behavioral Health – Guymon

Northwest Center for Behavioral Health is located at 1521 NE Highway 54 in Guymon, within a few minutes of Optima and Goodwell. The practical catchment runs to roughly 13 miles, covering Optima, Goodwell and Hough. Guymon sits in Texas County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Services run to intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone can be prescribed alongside therapy. Co-occurring conditions are handled concurrently rather than one after the other. Some contact can happen by video rather than in person. Trauma-specific treatment is available here. Northwest Center for Behavioral Health is federally registered and licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

Northwest Center for Behavioral Health – Guymon Detox and Rehab Services

What Northwest Center for Behavioral Health – Guymon offers is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is reasonable to ask how progress is reviewed and by whom. Ask what happens if the recommended level of care is not available immediately.

Self-funded rehab in Oklahoma typically costs $1,400 to $4,200 for a week of medical detox, $2,500 to $8,000 a month for an intensive outpatient program and $1,000 to $4,500 a month for standard outpatient care. A price list for Northwest Center for Behavioral Health could not be found at the time of writing, so those state costs are an estimate.

They have a lot of hoops to jump through to be compliant with the state of Oklahoma. I feel like they do the best they can with what they have to work with. Joanie (the receptionist) is awesome!!!!

Had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment, get to the apointment only for them to tell me They made a mistake and didn't put him in their system for the appointment. I had my appointment card they gave me. Instead of… seeing him anyways, they sent us away with another appointment. Very ridiculous. Definitely a BIG waste of time!
