Bridging The Gaps was everything I expected and far beyond. The disease of addiction is so powerful and manipulative to the human brain that entering any treatment facility felt like I was accepting failure as a person.… BTG helped alleviate the stigma associated with this admittance from the first call and through-out the entire process of treatment; continuing their connection and acceptance long after exiting into the real world. The atmosphere of a small, closely knit team of clinicians helped cater to every individual need and treat you as a human and not a number or folder. I felt so moved by the education and effort they put out that I returned a year later to deliver flowers as a gesture of gratitude. If you’re searching for an answer to your endless cycle of misfortune & addiction, look no further.🫶🏻
I would say the program works I took a lot out of every seccion! safety on the other hand they do not know how to handle that, I was assaulted on one of the houses they did nothing but kick me out of the program, I felt… hopeless with more trauma than I had before getting in. And lost the trust of talking how I felt because I told everyone that I did not feel safe around the person who put hands on my neck and left me scratched around, they had the nerve to have us both under the same roof, it didn't matter anything I said they made it look like I deserved it, I would think twice before going in there that was kind of racist, am Spanish and most of the people there was white I felt like they didn't understood me the clinicians specially it was their job to keep me safe and they fail by prioritizing the person who almost choked me to death, I wish I could go back on time and just declined staying there there's lot more places much better ones they prioritize people who's paying with Cash and the ones who pay by insurance or other programs like myself we are not on the same level when it comes to be treated fair they break their own rules...... I wish I could go back and call the police they would of handle that situation better with better results just to educate clinicians and owners should know better than what they did to me...... Oh by the way the nurse didn't even checked my neck after the incident so they did me wrong since day 1 till the end..
This program has a novel approach to addiction therapy. As with most rehabs, the lower you get on the HR food chain, the better the people are. This excludes Ashley, the Nurse there, who is a complete rockstar. Now with… the bad; I left before my 30 days was up because I got what I needed from them and my insurance wasn’t going to cover more time. Despite my approaching it respectfully with them, as soon as it became clear that I was leaving, the executives, primarily Sue Dennis, the intake coordinator, spoke to me with vitriol, disrespect and a complete and total lack of self awareness. After SHE lied to me, telling me all I needed was a BCBS plan to get in, I purchased said plan at the tune of $750/month. Can you guess what happened next? I was denied care, despite being fully transparent about my needs before I bought the insurance. Sue is a bulldog, but is either willfully negligent or completely incompetent; neither bodes well for the future of this program
An all around good introduction to sobriety with nutritional, holistic approaches that are effective!
I did not stay sober after my stint at BTG but I sincerely believe BTG is the best place to get it done. I don’t consider my time/money spent at BTG to be a waste because I am a far more compassionate and virtuous… person than I could have been otherwise. Its a vigorously honest program.
This place has provided me with all of the support I needed so that I may lead a happy, healthy, sober life!!
I have been clean and sober for over five years, and I could not have done it without BTG. They truly saved my life, on multiple occasions, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the people who work there.
They are a big part of why I have 4 years sobriety. Very personal, know there stuff and I just think they are great
Update: my daughter has graduated from BTG. She is doing exceptionally well. She has finally moved forward with her life, and it’s all because we found BTG. Clean and sober and now a new mom. For the rest of my life I… will be eternally grateful to all the staff at BTG that made her recovery possible. My daughter has been a patient at BTG for a few months now. They have bent over backwards to help her, even when she had moments where she was sabotaging herself. They have not given up on her. Anyone that gives this place a bad review has an ax to grind, likely because they didn't follow the rules and were made to leave. As with all addictions, the addict must be ready and willing to participate fully in their recovery. For those who are ready to make that commitment to themselves, BTG is the place to be. Every one of the staff that I have met have been polite, professional and caring, counselors and house staff alike! BTG has some of the absolute BEST counselors around! I cannot stress enough how great everyone here has been. I could write a 10 page dissertation and it still would not do justice to the way I feel about BTG. They have worked with me every step of the way regarding any expenses not covered by my insurance because they care more about my daughter's recovery than they do about profit! They truly have gone above and beyond for my daughter and I cannot thank them enough!
I don’t think I would have been able to get sober at any other treatment center. Bridging the Gaps isn’t your typical 30 day facility. It encapsulates a long-term layout that, if completed, increases chances of… long-term sobriety significantly. I was forced to go to treatment by family members and was NOT happy to be in treatment (AGAIN) when I first arrived. In my first 30 days, the length of most treatment centers, I barely spoke a word. If I had completed the program at that point I know I would have continued using afterwards. It wasn’t until the second and third months that I was able to open up and really do the work I needed to do to overcome my addiction. I continued with the rest of the program afterwards which takes about a year in total. It’s not easy but it works, it’s an investment in yourself. I’ve been sober 5+ years now. At BTG you aren’t just another patient in a revolving door of constant admissions and discharges. There’s no “flying under the radar” here. You, as an individual, are going to get the time and attention and individualized focus you deserve whether you want it or not. Highly recommend, if I had a family member in need of help I’d send them here.
I attended last August. So the Rona had us locked down most the time. Almost got a year sober now. Not that I give BTG a lot of credit for that. I knew the rules going into this place so the no sugar and caffeine sucked… but that was part of the deal. It's rehab, not a vacation. I understood that. From my experience, the counselors to seem to want to help. But BTG is a business first and foremost, a recovery center second. I think a lot of the counselors were frustrated by this when I was there too. I did not connect with my counselor but good luck getting them to take that into consideration. All in all an okay experience, WAY overpriced in my opinion, you don't get what you told on the webpage, but that may have been the RONAS fault. The stars are really for the few counselors that seem like the genually want to help.
I went to BTG 7 years ago (September 2013) and have been in recovery ever since. I have everyone at BTG to thank for that. My experience there taught and helped me not only how to get and stay sober but how to live a… life I can be proud of, and mend my relationships. I loved my counselor and all the different modalities they use here. I found Yoga, Reiki, Massage, and art therapy to be extremely helpful. I still use those as healthy coping mechanisms years later!
If you’re here looking at reviews, call them. These men and women are incredible. MUCH more than a place to get clean, it’s a place to find your true self
I was sent here to battle with heroin addiction. Obviously as an addict I did not enjoy it at first. I got to know the staff and community and they are extremely helpful at taking a holistic approach to battling… addiction. I went there October 2015 I was lucky to make it there alive. Now I can say that I have been sober almost 5 years and am extremely happy and content. I attribute this to the therapy I received at Bridging the Gap. They really break down the root cause of the addict and not just treat symptoms. I would recommend this to any parent or loved one who is looking to get their addict help. Anyone who leaves a negative review is someone who didn’t want to listen and follow the rules to break their addiction.
