CompDrug – Columbus Detox and Rehab Services
What CompDrug – Columbus offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

CompDrug – Columbus Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 547 East 11th Avenue in Columbus, Ohio, 43211. Columbus sits in Franklin County. People travel in from the surrounding area, and confirming the route beforehand saves difficulty. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Remote appointments may be possible where travel is a barrier. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

A worker named crystal or crysta violated my hippa rights she talked about my results when other people was around out loud. She was very rude and disrespectful the whole time. When I went into the hallway I over heard… saying I always give problems just because I couldn’t pee
i have been coming here for several months and at first they seemed to be very caring. I have Recently become a full-time caretaker for my paralyzed significant other, and so sometimes appointments are hard to make… because I have very little time for myself. So the day of my appointment I called up because I was late and told that I needed to do a walk-in however they didn’t tell me I had to do a walk-in before I could be dosed and I had to be at work at 11:30 and it was at 11:05 AM. I tell them that I can come in the following morning because I have to go to work and I was given two options stay here and be late to work and possibly get fired or to leave without being dosed after being dosed for almost 7 months. So I’m staying this day to make sure that I don’t have to go back to a life that I don’t want but I will be following up with a different clinic next week because I don’t wanna be a part of any place that is heartless like this they care of nothing about the people and only about the money
They are wonderful! I am so thankful for everyone that works here. The perinatal program has been a God send! Meagan is amazing!
I absolutely love the staff here! They are an amazing group of people who don't make you feel judged or less than because of an addiction. I actually look forward to seeing them . They are encouraging, caring, and make… you feel like they actually care about what they do, its not just a paycheck. So glad I made the decision to come here ♥️ I was there for the snow storm. The doctors were extremely slow. I waited 3 hours, but I am grateful they opened up. I in how it made everyone appreciate the nurses a little more. They hold that ship down! It was obvious when they didn't come in that day........ Lol
Compdrug saved my life.... I was deep into my addiction to fentanyl when I started coming here and a few months before I had overdosed twice having to be dozed with narcan both times. I truly believe that if it wasn't… for a compdrug I wouldn't be here today. Yes at first I did struggle to get clean because the methadone just wasn't enough. But I didn't give up and I kept coming every single day and within a few months the methadone started being enough and I didn't need fentanyl anymore. Throughout the years I have experienced nothing but kind, caring, compassionate service from the staff here. I truly do feel like the staff here cares about my sobriety. I have never regretted the decision to walk through those front doors at compdrug and today my life is absolutely amazing. I still feel like every single day continues to get better and better. Good luck to everyone who wants to get clean. We do recover!
Seen a popular creators post about her family not being able to get their life saving meds & thought thats absolutely ridiculous! You knew this storm was coming the director needs a new job!!! Every clinic in the US has… givin extra meds or stayed open I hope you have the biggest class action for playing with people's sobriety that's sickening.
I don't understand how they were open during COVID but closed during a snow storm. Since they closed today we're all just out of luck. Prayers for those who won't make it.
I have been with Compdrug since February 2021 and they have been great! My first 4 months I struggled to get clean until we found the correct milligram of methadone. Since then things have only gotten better in my life.… Compdrug is really understanding and compassionate. They also helped me in the beginning with getting me into a sober living house as well as with clothing and shoes for myself and for employment. Compdrug has literally been the cornerstone of my recovery. So if U are serious about getting clean and U are hesitant because it can be scary just try Compdrug. U can go get dosed everyday and work ur way up. And in the event that the methadone is not enough at first DON’T GIVE UP! Keep gettin up everyday and going to get ur dose. Compensate with what u need to but I am telling U that there will be a day when U get ur dose up, a beautiful, magical day when holy crap U won’t need to use again!!! That’s how it was for me anyway. I wish the best to all of U and my heart goes out to the addicts still out there😢🫶
Worse place to depend on for treatment. 3 days to get an ROI to guest dose out of state. Completely unprofessional.
Doing a great job at changing lives.
The staff actually care about you as a person & they treat you with respect as a person how every should be treated no matter who you are if you're homeless or have money every 1 should be treated the same &… unfortunately most people have forgotten that they have forgotten that nobody is better than the next person! EVERYONE DESERVES THE SAME TREATMENT AND LOVE !
This place saved my life. I have 10yrs 7 months clean. I tried to get clean 15 , but each time I relapsed, then my 16th attempt was my first time ever trying Methadone to get clean and I never looked back. Thank you so… much Compdrug for saving my life! 💕
Saved my life. There stren but fair. It's a no nonsense way of recovery. They hold you accountable to your actions and it helps you grow.
Most of the staff are great to work with. Some of them however, need some bedside manner tips. Remember, we are coming in off the street and off drugs. We are trying to blend back into society. Just be patient with us.
I've been going here on and off since 2017. They're amazing here. It is strict, but that's what people need when getting treatment. They aren't super strict to the point where they'll kick you out, though. As long as… you see the doctor and are honest about your situation, they will work with you the best they can. Rules change a lot. Things change a lot, which is always for the better! Doctors are amazing, and the nurses are wonderful and care about your recovery! Lots of groups, OPT, and another new 5 days a week group. Counseling, dosing, and groups that are optional and an hour long. Open 6 days a week. Same day dosing for newcomers!
Used to be a really nice place but now it's a serious mess. I'd only choose compdrug as a last resort.
Their workers don’t show up to work on time. Ever. They are supposed to open at 6am, and because I work I am there at 5:30-5:45 am everyday, which 6-7am is supposed to be “early dosing for first shift workers” yet… there’s MULTIPLE people that don’t work checking in at 6am. Which means the line is long as hell some days, and if you get called to drop you may as well plan on being late to work or leave without dosing (if you don’t drop when needed they won’t dose you) there have been multiple days I left without meds after dropping because I cannot risk losing my job. I arrive early enough and if I leave by 6:20 I’m on time to work. If they would weed out the non working people at 6am it wouldn’t take more than 20 minutes for me to drop & get through the dosing line. There’s literally people sleeping at the front door by 4:30/5am. If you can sleep at the door, you don’t have a job. Come back at 7am for normal check in time and get these working people in and out in a timely manner. I have wrote complaints to them directly and they started to require proof of jobs (current pay stub) and gave everyone 2 weeks to turn it in. TWO WEEKS!?!? It’s 2024, almost anyone can pull up a paystub on their phone at any given moment. No reason for it to take 2 weeks. & even so, within 7 days they quit asking for them and things went back to how it was. They need to enforce their own rules!!! Someone losing their job because they’re late, or because they have to miss a dose to avoid being late and end up deathly sick over it, can cause them to lose their job and very quickly spiral back into active addiction. I appreciate comp drug for their help but these things have to change to make it more efficient.
Compdrug will provide the structure and support for an opiate addicted patient to rise above their addiction. Compdrug saved my life. Thank you Compdrug.
Worst Clinic in the world they pick and choose who they’re going to help I was at Comp Drug for 2 years, they’re like a dinosaur and are so far behind. If you cannot drop for them, they will not dose u. I had to drop… four than four times in a day, and the woman just kept dumping my urine out in the toilet instead of adding to it talking about the cup, has to read the temperature. They require more urine than a doctors office. My new Clinic has a handheld temperature reader for our urine, but not Comp Drug. They kept making me drink tons of water which made me sick and each time it wasn’t enough. It took them three months to figure out that a doctor needed to sign paperwork so I could receive ride to the clinic And even after the three months they still have done nothing so I have to walk there or catch a bus and I don’t even have income. There are so many handicap, older people and they can’t even sign paperwork for job and family services to drive their clients there for free. And let’s talk about the dosing. The methadone is so terrible you’re still sick and they will try and raise you every 5 to 7 days when most clinics can raise you every 2 to 3 days there sometimes every 10 mg every day. In the beginning starting at Comp Drug, I couldn’t even make myself understand. Why am I breaking my neck to go here when I’m only gonna be raise 10 mg every seven days ? They’ll allow you to be late one time a month and I have health problems and they’re aware of it. I think I’m not down a pregnant woman while they left her banging on the window for 15 minutes they come out and tell her that the machines are turned off when really they just turn it right back on she’s pregnant. They will drop Your dose every three days if u miss a EKG. Then they try and tell you that all this is for Your Health When everyone knows messing with your methadone will make you so extremely sick. There’s so much more messed up things that goes on at the clinic. They used to be a lot better until they have this black lady that has beautiful grey hair. Managing Comp Drug she is absolutely terrible. She Care less about the client or what they’re going through based off their rule of Comp Drug there is so much more To say, but this review is long enough lol I’m telling you do not go to here I don’t understand how they’re sued and the best part about Comp Drug is Jasmine, Emily, and TERRI!!! And a few nurses in the dosing area. Because Of these amazing women is the whole reason why I was able to maintain two years of comp drugs bull crap! I just personally want to thank them!
If you don't have insurance this place has a grant program. Besides that they're awful. They treat heroin addiction, but not fentanyl or carfentanyl. They claim to but are not willing to raise methadone levels high… enough or fast enough to be helpful. I came here for help with my fentanyl addiction and just ended up addicted to fentanyl and methadone. Coming here made my life worse. I jumped through all their hoops and they refused to help me. I eventually got insurance and went to Compdrug, who actually treated me for fentanyl and now I'm off dope. They have a psych nurse on site at comp drug and claim to help with psych meds but it is a serious fight to get them to follow through with calling in medication. Every few months, prepare to spend days calling and leaving messages while going through antidepressant withdrawal.
Compdrug Saved my life, well them and God.i was so overboard and decided enough was enough so i went to Compdrug for help and I've been clean over 3years now. As long as you are serious and commented then you can get all… the help you need.its medicated help but it's help if you need and WANT it. EDIT: it’s now been about 9 years of being clean and I give the credit to God, Compdrug and myself and I haven’t looked back/relapsed 1 time. If it wasn’t for CompDrug, I wouldn’t be alive because I couldn’t get in anywhere else at the time. But you have to want it and work the program to make it work! God Bless and Good luck
My wife and I have been going to comp drug for several years including my son who started 9 months after we did thankfully because we came home one day and he wasn’t breathing he barely survived. Since getting off drugs… I’ve started a business which is doing well very well really but I’m not one to brag. We have encouraged a lot of friends and other people to go to comp drug and just about everyone has and all have turned their lives around. I’ve seen people have nothing including their kids and after starting comp drug they have their kids homes vehicles and a normal life. The nurses and staff have always been great never once have we had any problems with them. I truly believe if not for comp drug we would be dead.🙏
This place saved my life in 2017. Not one person here has ever made me feel judged or less than because of my addiction. I have always felt that I matter and every one working here wants the best for me. I highly… recommend to anyone who is tired of living in active addiction. Please reach out and allow them to help. Even if you’re not ready to quit today, go there and see what is offered. My life started abrazo the day I walked in these doors. I’ve never looked back.
I've been going to comp drug for awhile now. A lot of people complain about a lot of stuff but if you are doing what you're supposed to be doing all is well. It's s a pretty easy process. 1. See counselor 1 a month over… phone 2. Pass drug screen. 3.Sew a doctor and EKG annually. THAYS JT and they let toy be. It's not that hard.
Toxicology and LabCorp are a joke! I'd get more accurate results if I were to spin a wheel of chance. Rather high turn over of staff.
This is the place you want to go if you are SERIOUS about getting clean. If you still want to play around with drugs... they have premier, medmark, etc. for that. Compdrug will hold you 100% accountable for your… actions, and that's what you need to get your life back. The medication is only 20% of the recovery. The other 80% is figuring out the "Why?". Therefore you MUST use the other resources such as counseling, mental health help, and groups if you want to change your addict mind.
