I took my dad, Earnest, to Daymark Recovery Services in Charlotte, NC for a mental health evaluation, and I cannot say enough about the incredible care we received. From the moment we arrived, Ashley, Asha, Mahogan, and… Trayvon treated my dad like absolute royalty. Their kindness, patience, professionalism, and compassion immediately put us at ease. They took such exceptional care of him that instead of feeling like we were sitting in a mental health facility, we genuinely felt comfortable, welcomed, and cared for—almost as if we were sitting in our own home. Their level of customer service is unmatched and, unfortunately, very rare these days. This team went far beyond the call of duty to make sure every one of my dad’s needs was met. Nothing felt rushed, impersonal, or routine. They treated him like a human being first—with dignity, respect, compassion, and genuine concern for his well-being. You can tell when people are simply doing a job, and you can tell when people truly care. This staff TRULY CARES. They made my dad feel safe, valued, respected, and important, and as his daughter, that meant more to me than I can possibly put into words. When a family is dealing with something as sensitive as a mental health evaluation, the way you are treated can make all the difference. Ashley, Asha, Mahogan, and Trayvon made what could have been a stressful and frightening experience feel calm, reassuring, and supportive. Daymark Recovery Services should be extremely proud to have these individuals on their team. They are an outstanding example of what compassionate healthcare should look like. I wholeheartedly and without hesitation recommend Daymark Recovery Services and this amazing staff to anyone looking for professional, compassionate, respectful mental health care. If you or someone you love needs help, give them a chance. You can thank me later. ❤️ AB
This place was absolutely horrible. If you have to stay there are no beds just broken ol recliners. Men are put with women. You are not allowed your phone. One of the staff was rude and loud. It is disgusting and… unclean. You can't wear your own clothes you have to wear nasty clothes. It was worse than a jail cell.
Best place to get help but doesn't not exclude you from drama from other clients staff helpful and friendly professional at the same time well ran place. Asha, Leah , Ron were so great.
Shanetta and Trent where awesome and very professional.
Service was pleasant, the ladies working helped me and my friend get home safely. 5 stars!!!
Great experience every time I come here the staff is respectful and does there job and helps me out as well as others with our issues and helps us get the helps we need and get to where we need to get to to continue our… journey and battles. Shout out to Brittney and Joan wonderful staff

Yes I was sent here from emergency atrium on billingsley road told that this was a place that could help all this that and the third okay the process with the front desk went okay the process with the therapist over the… Telecom went okay and then the lady that came to get me settled in for the night came very combative very she was very agitated toward my anxiety issues and this was after I asked her the lady name that cost a combativeness and asked her for paper to write the situation up you know it's sad how these places are out here claiming to do one thing but they're doing another and they're not really addressing issues but yet they continuously sucking up insurance money so basically all they did was suck up some of my insurance money agitate my issues and put me back out the door
Daymark is yet another mental health facility that does not care about people with mental health problems. The staff had no clue what they were doing. I had to restate what I was asking for over and over again just for… them to schedule the wrong kind of appointment, or at a time I did not ask for. On top of this, the website does not work. I also had no form of communication with my psychiatrist.
Utilized this facility while suffering from a mental health crisis. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Harrison for being so thoughtful and caring. He truly went above and beyond to provide care, comfort, and… knowledge. He explained every step of what care at their facility looked like and his constant reassurance that healing and recovery is possible was a great step in getting the right care that was needed. I wish he had been on staff the entire duration that I was at this facility, hence why I deducted a star. The day shift techs/nurses leave a lot to be desired and are honestly pretty rude and pushy. Harrison was truly one of a kind and set the standard of optimal care, and I truly hope he gets the best that life has to offer. I believe Brittany was another nurse involved in my care, and she was also pretty good. Overall if you find yourself here for a mental health crisis, they can point you in the right direction. The facility is clean, snacks are available, and you will be safe as you recover through whatever you’re dealing with.
Please, if you have a disability, don’t put yourself through the pain of going here. The way the staff handled things was honestly shocking — completely unprofessional and totally unprepared for anyone with… accessibility needs. It broke my heart to see how little care or respect was shown. No one should ever be made to feel like a burden just because they need a bit of understanding and support. And honestly, why choose this line of work if you can’t even take the time to listen or care?"
Amazing helpful!
Big Shoutout to the staff - Nora, Joan, Harrison and Brittney. They were all very helpful and comforting during such a tough time. I’m just thankful I had the support and was provided tools to succeed. I can’t say thank… you enough!!
After hours health assessment for mental illness was conducted with a staff that was less than professional, informative or caring. Such a disappointment after the arduous process of convincing our loved one to take a… step forward into their mental health journey. If only we had been met with swift, nurturing and confident professionals… it could have made all the difference in their acceptance of a helping hand.
Unfortunately I have had to take my family member to a lot of places and I can say that I had 0 issues, 0 complaints with this one. I wish this place was around sooner. The staff was very friendly. So much better than… taking your kid to the ER.
My daughter took her friend to this behavioral health urgent car. No one would open the door. They were given the run around. This place is an epic fail. No beds for the patients. The patients were laying on the floor… and in chairs. My daughter asked about the cracked door and they told her it's been like that for a long time. My daughter said they left them in a room with cords and not in a secure room. What would have happened if my daughter wasn't there to keep an eye on her? The security guard was sleeping, and the lady at the front desk continued to have a personal call instead of opening the door for discharged patients. She told them to wait!! WTH??? A worker turned off the lights in the entire building to appear closed. Who is making sure these places are treating people who come for help like human beings??? I have yet to see a behavioral health establishment actually help those that are seeking it. Stay away from this place! It helps no one!!!!!!
