About East Bay Community Action Program – Barrington
East Bay Community Action Program operates from 2 Old County Road in Barrington. The site sits in Bristol County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include East Providence and Warwick. Distance matters here, and the nearest option is not always the one that fits.
Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Treatment Services at East Bay Community Action Program
Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

East Bay Community Action Program Reviews and Ratings
What patients and their families say about East Bay Community Action Program sits alongside the licensing and accreditation detail on this page. Reading the two together gives a fuller picture of this Barrington program than either gives alone.
The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because I love my doctor, Dr. Denny, and every experience I’ve had with her has been absolutely lovely. As for the management, I have had to call multitudinous… times to put my prescriptions through. The website has never worked to get my prescriptions, and the last experience I had really put the nail in the coffin for me. I had to call 4 times over 3 weeks to get my prescription, and I still don’t have it. I’ve never gotten a call that the prescription was on hold or couldn’t be processed, I always got the same answer: They didn’t even see the request in their system and that they would put it through. The third time I called, I was told that the last person typed up the request and “forgot to hit send.” The lack of professionalism is ridiculous, laughable. I’ve also had my prescriptions sent to the wrong location, and drove 45 minutes to retrieve it because no matter how many times I called they couldn’t (wouldn’t) transfer it to the correct pharmacy. I love my doctor, and I would hate to find another doctor when I trust and feel so safe with Dr. Denny, but this ongoing issue with the management is making me consider other options.
Unprofessionalism from supervisors right down to the case manager! Unfortunately try to get a problem solved is like pulling teeth. Michelle Deseo who is the supervisor over community supports (high level of care) is… very argumentative and will not correct her staff behavior. Told her the problem between me and one of her case manager asked her to step in before it escalated worse. Was told nope you should be working on this in your therapy. Like what?!??!?! What do you actually do then collect a paycheck?? I’m sorry this place is worthless and will make you worse instead of helping you!
Horrible..the worst mental health center I've ever been with..and I've been on SSDI for 20 yrs and lived all over the country..they are the worst
Horrible. Clinician was completely unprofessional. Definitely needs to work on her treatment of potential patients.
Very helpful organization, offers support in virtually every area of life. Highly recommend for anyone who needs help accessing resources or needs mental health support
Handicapped parking available
Showed up for a scheduled appointment, empty waiting room but still made to wait an hour and miss other appointments planned for that day. I recommend staying away from here
I had quite a negative experience here. Very unprofessional staff, argumentative. When a person is reacting you don't argue with them, if you are a professional. You are supposed to take the high ground. There is no… high ground here. Look elsewhere. They are far more interested in looking politically correct and being inclusive, at least superficially inclusive, then actually doing their job. If you check the rainbow Box, you might have a good experience here, if you don't, you might Want to run.
There’s a waiting list of several months!!! I called after 3 months to see what’s going on and no one answers the phone! Seriously???
Always courteous staff, medical staff really care about their patients.
Good service, call if you need help.
Always thorough, caring, compassionate and affordable.
