This facility is focused on quantity over quality. The facility is a former hotel, so can take a lot of patients, which is good since a lot of other facilities don't have the space, but bad because the quality isn't… there. The person I knew that went here was stuck on high intensity because there wasn't enough slots for medium or low intensity. Also, he was given a cleaning solution in an unmarked spray bottle, which is a serious violation...and even worse since it is being handed to vulnerable adults. They should also make it more open to family to help support and be a part of peoples recovery process. Instead when his insurance stopped covering him, a staff member made rude comments to him about leaving 3 days early (that's when he could get a ride) and how it would reflect poorly on them....isn't this about the patient and helping them??
I knew a patient in there, there is no consistency....was told no phone or visitors for 2 weeks...had visitor after a week, had phone the whole time calling all times of the day Told insurance wouldn't cover the patient… then when looking for a different facility but then insurance would cover for 3 weeks which makes no sense when treatment is usually at least 30 days....then evaluated the patient and insurance would cover 1 more week...wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone as they do what they want?
Anchorage saved my life literally. Most of the staff are amazing caring people who go above and beyond to help. Decent beds. 24/7 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I highly recommend this facility .

Anchorage saved my life. I'm grateful to have met the people at Anchorage treatment Center in Moorhead Minnesota. They have helped me through the most difficult of times battling my addiction. One of the darkest… chapters of my life i found myself. I couldn't have done it without places like that. For that I am grateful.
Worst place ever wouldnt recommend to come here the staff dont care bout u they prolong signing you out your priority for life outside of treatment is no concern to them the only focus is staying sober...its alot more… then staying sober in recovery here
