About Fillmore County Hospital – Geneva

Fillmore County Hospital operates from 1900 F Street in Geneva. The site sits in Fillmore County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include York. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Licensing and Accreditation

Hospital LicensedHospitalLicensedLicensed as a hospital, which carries stricter requirements on medical staffing and on-site care than a residential licence.
SAMHSA ListedSAMHSAListedThe facility appears in the federal treatment locator maintained by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. It is a record that the facility exists and reports its services, not an assessment of quality.

Treatment Services at Fillmore County Hospital

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Fillmore County Hospital Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 1900 F Street, Geneva, NE 68361, in Fillmore County. The catchment reaches York. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

I went to the ER by ambulance for chest pains and burning. My nurse Pam was so very kind and stayed with me. She was very thorough in her explanations. The heart doctor also heard all my complaints and took everything… seriously. I didn't feel like I was just kicked out. All the staff took their time with me. I appreciate the great bedside manner.

Came here for a work Injury. AVOID because Hospital HAS NO ULTRASOUND. Makes me wonder about their Maternity patients too.. yeesh. Had an abdominal injury. Hospital has no ultrasound machine. they want to ct scan… everything and overbill you. I Refused CT scan since they demanded contrast fluid. Didn't even offer contrast free CT. Told techs im allergic to contrast, but they just said okay leave and go elsewhere. Which is exactly what i did. Went elsewhere writhing in pain. What are we here, shamans in lab coats? If you are reputable hospital you shold have every medical image device on hand, even a simple ultrasound device and a tech on-call 24/7 that can read them in real time. I have to assume ladies going here for maternity treatment probably suffer from radiation exposure? SMH. Oh, and the ER beds were not clean. very gross.

Wish I could give them 10 stars! Since moving to NE, they have helped my family so much! I had a huge kidney stone & they kept me comfortable, pain free and calm during my entire stay, even overnight! They scheduled… everything for my surgery in Lincoln. They were so kind and helpful. My husband had gallstones and again we went here, he was treated with the best care imaginable! Again our son needed stitches after a baseball injury and they took the best care of him! I can not think them enough... the Dr's, the nurses, the techs, everyone! They are so sweet, and actually care!! I am so thankful we have such a wonderful place so close by!

I don't believe I'll ever use that hospital again!!! I'd heard rumors that if you wanted to die, go there ... hmmmmm, I thought, what's up with that?? Well, I've had my own experiences in that hospital. At the time, I… didn't have a lot of faith in my PCP so I switched to a Dr at Fillmore County Hospital, explaining, or trying to explain, my health problems. After a few visits, being prescribed more pills, for sleeping blah blah, which did absolutely nothing for my problem. I soon tired of this cycle, counseling that focused on my anxiety, which did no good. I soon began to talk to others in the medical field, I personally knew. I soon found a new PCP. She simply listened to me and ordered some blood work. My blood work showed that my thyroid medication was to strong, so she changed my prescription, lowering my dose. Day by day I started feeling so soooooooo friggin much better!! The days of being doubled over and being so sick, soon stopped. I went from being sick for days at a time, not being able to eat, losing a lot of weight (not saying it's a bad thing to lose weight, but not that way) to feeling almost normal again, with no more trips to the ER!! My prior PCP, who was a true quack, upped my thyroid meds, however, when I switched my PCP to Fillmore County Hospital, he did not do blood work to simply check my levels!! With as many times as I was there, you would think that between the ER Dr's or my own PCP, at Fillmore County Hospital, would have caught such a simple but dangerous thing!! I won't go into the cruel and uncalled for treatment by a young male ER nurse. Trying to tell someone what had happened, fell upon deaf ears. On a nicer note, I do have to honestly say that the insurance billing dept ladies truly helped me with issues with insurance!! Those ladies were and are Epic!!! The nurses on the hospital floor were great, I recon. I know my experiences with that hospital and some of the Dr's there .... I hope that if you choose to go to this hospital that your experiences are better than mine!! I hate that I have to even give one star to be able to post this, wish the scale had a negative rating also .... mine would be 4 negative stars, not 5 due to all the other truly good folks who also work there!! I rarely post ratings or comments, however when this popped up for another rating, I had to share some of my negative experiences, wishing I didn't have them!! So, good luck ......

AWFUL!!! They didnt do anything besides tell me I have “allergies” i have a horrible sore throat, ear pain in the left ear, swollen tonsils with white coating, cough, body aches and chills. And I get a quick check in… the ear and throat and I’m told I have allergies? (This has been going on for a month) haven’t gotten any better. I asked them to do further tests as in testing my blood cultures. Denied. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
