Papilion Integrated Recovery Center – Orem

All I can say is I was definitely fooled on the phone when I set up going there. I was there for about 3 and 1/2 months. And my husband was in the West valley location for about 4 and 1/2 months. Their main concern was… making sure that my husband and I didn't talk. In the groups literally all we did was check-ins. I've been to a lot of treatment places. And there is absolutely no treatment aspect or recovery related type of thing going on here. They rely completely on 12-step meetings for their treatment plan you go to for a week. And you have to go to them outside of going to treatment at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the place where you sit around and wait for an hour to an hour and a half until 9:00 before any type of group or anything happens and then 4:00 p.m. a lot of the times the group never even happens or maybe you go to the park or maybe you have to do a check-in something like that you do check-ins for every single group and they never have a plan in place. The only cool thing that I did there was maybe the brain painting that Dean did. Joe the director I'm not even really sure what he gets paid to do he set up to do groups every single week but he literally never shows up for them and he comes in late and people have to cover for him I maybe did like one or two groups with him and they were only partial groups because he was over an hour and a half late to each one. Lauren was my intern therapist and I must say she was really great like she really wants to help and she deserves to work somewhere better. I was kicked out three different times two times for talking to my husband and one time for looking for another place. I have been sober for 9 and 1/2 months no thanks to papillon and so is my husband. We were both eventually kicked out because we were told if we wanted to stay that we were not allowed to talk to each other but we went in there together them knowing that we were going to be together and they told us they would integrate a treatment plan for us to be together. But that never happened. Best thing ever happened to me was getting kicked out of there and not having that stress anymore and for me and my husband to be able to continue our sobriety and we are doing treatment somewhere else where there is a treatment plan they are planned out groups and I was also told on the phone that they would help you get a play something find a job nothing like that happened I didn't have any underwear or socks when I got there and I asked him if they had new resources for that and they said no. So I was just completely full the whole time Joe is a complete joke so is Tracy and you would not believe the HIPA laws that they break and the disrespected clients and the unprofessional ethics that got going on there I already wrote a review on Google back My plan is to report them to Medicaid for Medicaid fraud because of Medicaid went in there I'm hoping that that would motivate them to actually add some treatment aspects to the place I know that Medicaid probably wouldn't shut them down but hopefully if they had that at least the scare they would start showing up to groups having plans for groups and maybe have some more professionalism My husband had a terrible experience there people were using in the house he was at and there was no repercussions for that but there's repercussions for talking to your only support system. And the rules are just don't make any sense I was punished harsher for talking to my husband and he was for the same thing and I was kicked out for going to see him but they didn't kick him out. If you have any other choice for treatment plays pick that don't pick here you have to pay $650 in rent if you don't have the money they might work with you but they added all up so when you get a job you got to pay up plus they bill your Medicaid for the 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that you're at treatment but only doing classes for maybe few hours worth of that rest of time sitting around waiting or checking in on how you're feelings are for every single group
