I truly cannot say enought good things about Dr. Futrell & the staff at SBC!
It started out really good. But you have a guestion for your provider it's not happening. I had concerns about my medication which someone kept calling other than my provider. She didn't understand my concerns or… address them. Just tried to push medication on me. I had been lined up with a therapist but they kept changing to different ones and different times. That really wasn't a problem til they called and I had to drop everything to take the call. Again they didn't understand me when I told them I was busy at that time. So I took the telehealth. She was young and concerned about something that happened when I was 15. I'm 61 and that was decades ago not now. I need to address my son's passing not something that happened when I was 15. My friend got a great therapist and experience. I however didn't. I love the psychiatrist but she isn't reachable so why waste my time and energy. I had legit concerns and wanted it addressed. Not someone that doesn't really speak that good of English trying to force me into something. I had my hope set high to be let down. Nobody has reached out. Not even the owner as they have to other reviewers
Sandhills Best Care is a very family orientated place they literally treat you like family, they do they're best to make sure your needs are taken care of. The providers and CMAs at the Rockingham locations are the… greatest. They work very hard to make sure that their patients are getting the best treatments as possible. If you're in need of a primary care physician or a mental health professional I highly suggest you choose Sandhills Best Care as your next choice.
I really enjoy coming to this clinic. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They greet you with a smile and make the check-in process easy, which sets the tone for the… whole visit. The medical assistants are amazing too! They’re professional and caring, but they also have such great personalities. We laugh, joke, and have good conversations, and they always make you feel comfortable instead of making the appointment feel so serious or stressful. The providers are wonderful as well. They actually listen, take their time, answer questions, and make sure you understand your care. I also appreciate how seriously they take mental health and make you feel comfortable talking about both your physical and mental well being without judgment. From the front desk staff to the medical assistants and providers, you can tell this clinic has a team that genuinely cares about their patients. It’s a welcoming environment where you can receive great care, have a few laughs, and leave feeling like you were actually heard and cared for. Definitely a great team!
I waited a very long time to leave a review. The worst mistake I ever made was seeking help following a traumatic incident. What I found is that the only thing there seems to be no issue with is billing insurance to get… paid. I spent months here waiting on what I thought would be conversation and solutions regarding why I was actually there. Not once. Drugs was what got discussed and in drug addict terms. For someone who is not and never has been a drug user, this was beyond offensive. If you want to prescribe a medication for a patient, call it what it is and explain what is designed to do. Anxiety medications have a proper name, not a street drug terminology. This was discussed many times, only in street drug terminology, supposedly, called in, then its not at the pharmacy. Call in to find out where the medication is, to be told it wasn't sent in and to just wait till the next appt to discuss with Dr. Each month the cycle repeats. After months of these appts with no discussion of the issue that brought me there, no medication (that I didn't ask for to begin with) and literally nothing more than copayments and Insurance claims, I made the decision to not accept another appt and just sit in the misery. Because of this experience I will NEVER trust another Dr enough to try to get help, if there is such a thing. This experience caused a much worse existence than the traumatic event that led me there. And no, I wont be calling in to discuss it as discussions there clearly have no merit. The Dr was polite, office staff always clueless. If you cannot or do not intend to help someone, just say it rather than collect Insurance claims and copays. Very damaging experience. 100% true. In your own replies to many complaints you mention that drs come there to get their "training" and then move on which is why the dr turnover is so high. This screams that you literally take anyone in as so called drs and it is a revolving door. This was 100% my experience and the only thing "dangerous" is how I was made to feel. Never again. It completely ruined my trust. The dr was polite, no question, but everything else was a hot mess from the first day to the last.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. How does someone gain 21 pounds in a month and still test positive for methamphetamine?? They took away my adderall that I’ve been on for 5+ years because of a positive UA for meth,… which is complete BULLSHIT!!! I go back in to provide another sample and it shows negative in the office but positive when sent off to the lab. This drs office will drive you back to using, especially when a recovering addict is being accused of using one of the things that they’re recovering from.
As a pt of PCP I am so thankful for Erica and Heather. They make me feel important and heard. I have an autoimmune disorder and they take the time to listen and send out referrals quickly to get the help I need.
Best place I’ve ever been, very positive environment feels like home . They will help you however they can I love it here
Came to the office today with a family member for their appointment and everyone was so friendly and kind. From the front desk, doctors and lab techs everyone was very welcoming. I will be changing my doctor. Thank you… for treating my family with respect and kindness.
My mom had a over the phone therapy session and when she was try to pay for the copay over the phone and they were having problems accepting her card which has money and works and since it was close to closing time they… just told her to come tomorrow morning and hung up. First off why would they scheduled a therapy session so close to closing and to deny my mom for her therapy and how she gets her medicine she needs and is out of just because they didn't want to help her with her paying over the phone because they wanted to go home. The receptionist was very rude and wouldn't recommend going here.
I got a therapist for about two months here. Since then I’ve been asking for appointments from them. Which they have made me sit in a telehealth call for over 30 minutes just for them to tell me my therapist is busy… with another patient. Same with doctors. I don’t even go often unless I know something is really wrong yet they’ve canceled 90% of ALL my appointments. I have NEVER felt heard as a patient here. And I feel like my time has ALWAYS been wasted. There has never been a time when I walked out of this place and felt SATISIFIED. They will usually tell you (if you’re a woman) that most of your problems come from periods or that “they don’t know what’s going on”. IM TIRED OF DOCTORS OFFICES TREATING THEIR PATIENTS THIS WAY!!! Yall are PAID do this stuff and yet yall NEVER do why your paid for. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.
I absolutely love Mrs Gainy when my husband passed away she was there when I thought there was no help with my addiction she was there im forever grateful for her and her staff love my docs and therapist they never let… me down or gave up on me....love you all
I have been with this practice for three years and they have been very inconsistent. If you need real mental health treatment, I would look elsewhere. I haven’t been able to find a consistent provider for the past year.… I had two appointments with a new one, then got waitlisted because her next available appointment was 6 weeks out because her schedule was flooded with new patients. And I have had this issue with every provider I’ve had. They don’t have the time and attention for the patients that they have.
Been with the for over 7 years. Absolutely love this place. I started with dr gainey when she first opened in Rockingham. Now I am in Pinehurst office with joymel both amazing doctors very down to earth and easy to talk… to about everyday life.❤️
When i first started going here I was seeing Dr.Gainey. Majority of the staff ive seen for substance abuse and primary care have been really nice, however I dont think some of the providers understand how withdrawal… works and the toll it puts on the person going through it. I began seeing another provider for my substance abuse and primary care. Last month I got the 100mg suboclade shot and I could feel it wearing off these past few days. I called their office yesterday as I was instructed when I got that shot. I got a call back from one of the nurses who said she would let my provider know. I then got a call back after 5pm stating my provider said the only thing she could do was order me a 300mg shot. I asked how long it would take to get there and I was told anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. Im not sure what she expects me to do in the meantime. If I had time for withdrawals I wouldn't be going to a doctor in the first place. Im now in the process of trying to find another place, until then I guess I will have to do what others in my place would do. All in all, this place takes too many patients and you can not talk directly to your provider when they mess up something like not sending in your prescriptions on time. Before making an appointment here you need to make sure you have a doctor that completely understands mental health/substance abuse before committing to that doctor or this facility. I now see why they went from 4.5 stars to under 3.8. Again, they take way too many patients and dont remember anything you tell them from your previous appointment. I hate carolina behavioral care closed because the doctor i seen there, remembered everything about me as most great providers do. This place will have you buying medication off the street because of how stressed they get you.
One of the worst Drs offices I've ever been to. They change your appointment without notice. They take on more clients than they can handle which leaves less attention per client. It's like pulling nails to get your… prescription sent to the pharmacy. I was getting one month prescriptions every month, and then without rhyme or reason, was sent a one week prescription, as if I was a new patient starting over. I definitely would NEVER recommend anyone going here if you're wanting to stay sober. These people will drive you right back to using
Place has been great to me Dr Rosette is probably one of the most thoughtful and considerate and just most brilliant MD's I've ever seen in my life and I've been through a bunch of them most of them make me feel like… I'm talking to a brick wall when I speak with her and try to convey my problems just like she totally gets me and I feel like she's not like staring at the clock the whole time trying to get rid of me and in a hurry and she really has worked with me and I appreciate her so much in the whole team there is just awesome I thank Lord everyday that there's someone so close to just so helpful and has such a great impact on my life so far and I wouldn't trade her for nothing.
Abs awesome!!! Make yd appt!!! You will NOT regret it..the only regret u will have is that u didn't make it sooner!!!
Can't say anything bad about this place the staff are friendly and professional the environment is clean they also have nature sounds playing on thier intercoms such as birds chirping, waterfalls zen like stuff which… puts you in a relaxing mood while you wait in the lobby my only slight complaint would be the amount of time you have to wait to be been which is usually around a month when you schedule an appointment but I assume that could vary depending on your needs.the nr i seen was straight to the point she got me what I needed with no hassle
Would not recommend. The medication I've been on for over 5 years needs a prior authorization before it can be filled. I have been waiting over a month for Sandhills Best Care to send the prior approval to my insurance… company. I have been without my medicine for over two weeks. You are not suppose to just stop taking this drug. When you call Sandhills Best Care, I think it goes to a call center over seas. it is hard to understand what the people are saying. They keep telling me it's waiting on approval.from my insurance company. But, when I call the insurance company they tell me that Sandhills Best Care has not sent it in. I am completely frustrated. I asked for my provider to call me last week and she has still not called me. Obviously no one at Sandhills Best Care cares about me.
Sandhills Best Care (Dr. Tammie Gainey) is one of the best. I was addicted to pain medication for 2-3 years until I found Sandhills Best Care. I have been going here a few years now and my life has changed for the… better. Dr. Gainey is one of the most caring people ever. And she remembers things about her patients that most people don’t even pay attention too. I love her.
This place has been terrible for the last 3 years I have been seeing them. I always had to chance down my medications. I was changed to new Dr.s 4 times. They always canceled appointments after I confirmed appointments… a dozen times as they email and text you 30 times before your appointment. The randomly raise rates. They are not interested in helping you. They are just a pill factory that has no interest in actually helping the patient. Terrible place glad I finally found a Dr. that cares
Love Miss Rosemary Murphy she is the best
The best place for substance abuse and counseling in Rockingham , DrFuttrell and Stacy Fain are phenomenal !!! I would totally recommend for your mental health/substance abuse needs !!! 🩷
