Tides Edge Recovery Services – Jacksonville Beach Detox and Rehab Services

Tides Edge Recovery Services – Jacksonville Beach appears on the register for detox and residential treatment. Medical supervision covers the withdrawal period, where alcohol and benzodiazepines carry real risk. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Ask directly about session times and frequency, as those details decide whether someone can realistically attend.

You will find this provider at 75 12th Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida, 32250. This address falls in Duval County. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.

I wanted to change/update a prior review. I had a minor miss understanding and lack of communication initially, but a manager called me and was very kind and helpful. Although I didn't ultimately end up going (I was… able to safely take care of my health issue and feel a lot better now), that manager that called me really made a difference. She's not obligated to call me on her free time. But she did, because she wanted to know I was doing okay. That's something unusual these days... getting decent customer service. I wish anyone all the best if they are going through any health or personal issues.

This place sent my dad home on more drugs than he went in on, especially the main one he was struggling with, never did the family counseling, only thing they did was detox him from alcohol. He needed more than just… that. This place is a scam!

I will start off by saying the all the techs and nurses were super nice and very pleasant and eager to help where they could. The problem is that I was coming off extremly high doses of 7-OH for about a year and a half.… They themselves admittedly knew little about 7-OH and gave me next to nothing in terms of detox meds. All i wanted was to start a suboxone taper and they kept giving me the run a round. "Oh we gotta wait for the doctor." I ask when the doctor comes and they dont have a concrete answer. To their credit they did make sure i was first in line to see the doctor. I saw the doctor she said she'd give me suboxone, but 4 hours later and still "oh no I waiting on my boss to tell me". At this point I'm literally feeling like death due to my withdrawals and all i got while i was there in terms of "detox" meds was phenobarbital which is a anticonvulsant used to treat epilepsy and Clonidine. Both of which do not do anything to help with my opiate withdrawals. As for the facilitie itself it leaves alot to be desired. Looked very dated and depressing. Rooms were cramped 2 people to a tiny room with 1 tv and 1 bathroom. Dont get me wrong that's better than nothing, but still. Im more in favor of allowing detoxing patients have their own rooms. Long story short I AMAed. I just couldn't take it anymore. If I'm gonna withdrawal cold turkey I might as well do it at home around people I love. I'm not trying to come off as bitter especially to the staff because they were really nice. I just dont think they know what to do with ppl coming off 7-OH

Nurses and Doctors are good. The techs are super nice. Good place for a short term stay to detox. They could do something better about the meals they have brought in. Relatively clean. Groups and counselors are ok. It… was a good start to my recovery I don’t recommend the residential property.

Tech Jen saved my life, but she probably doesn’t know that. I came in lacking basic hygiene necessities. She made sure I got deodorant and toothpaste. I dropped my sunglasses and they broke. She walked out to her car… and gave me a $50 pair of hers, no questions asked. In my darkest moment, Jen showed me love and compassion. I pray she gets everything good in this life.

This place lied to me and is simply a money grab. No real help beyond hoping to feed you prn meds and have you stuck in a return cycle. Some there do care but are subject to a ridiculous turn around in staff. If any… employee wants to address why my HIPAA rights were violated they can feel free to contact me as I’m in the process of reporting how they did so….

So I’m hoping this is my last treatment center. Tides gave me what I needed when I needed it. I initially thought after 9 days I’d go home. As we do I thought that would be enough. The staff was smart and let me decide… and gently pushed me in the direction of staying longer. I ended up doing 21 days but had planned to stay for 28. Unfortunately my insurance said it wasn’t medically necessary to stay past 21 days. The group sessions at the detox part of tides were good I really liked my counselor. When/if you go to the other tides which is a lower level of care that’s when the more intensive therapy starts. I think this is perhaps a unique approach when we first arrive in treatment we dont necessarily need to be thrust into deep therapy conversations were more than likely detoxing and need to heal more than anything. The reason why it’s 4 stars and not 5 is cause of the food. Some of my meals weren’t even edible. They cater them in and they really are mostly bad. You won’t starve I did find other options for me but just would’ve been better if the food wasn’t so bad. Either way we find something to get a resentment at and it really just takes one resentment to justify leaving early so I tried to be conscious aware of that. I truly appreciate everyone I came into contact with at tides from the staff to the clients and again I plan on this being my last treatment center but that will only happen if I remember that I just gotta stay sober for today.

This detox center is great they all were so kind they really truly care here. Food is great I’ve been to other facilities and this one is by far the best one. There’s no mean or rube teach or meter all so very kind they… give you things and games to play watch a movie at night it’s smaller so more one on one connection if your ready for it Journey, I would recommend this one they will bring your food to you while your sick also kept me as comfortable as they could during the first three days before the taper.. Wonderful ❤️

Terrible scam place! Brought me 600 miles from home & kicked me out after they got me high on some benzo I told them I didn't need or want. Then some blonde nurse/staff threatened me then lied & said I threatened her &… called police & kicked me out! Also didn't return some of my personal hygiene items! Im a veteran & slept in cold rain for Thanksgiving! Lawsuit inbound!

The staff here are SO great!! They're able to maintain both professional/& kind-hearted attitudes that it typically takes to be able to deal with all of the many faces of addiction were now seeing in today's society (&… most tend to be more difficult/tough personalities than not, & tend to go had-in-hand with alot of the more challenging social behaviors. An yet...the staff at TidesEdge does it just MARVELOUSLY! They treat the patient with compassion, & kindness... Which makes ALL OF THE DIFFERENCE!! I applaud Tides Edge & would highly recommend it to ANYBAN EVERY one considering the big leap of faith that sobriety offers.. you won't be sorry!

Phenomenal experience❤️ From the first phone calls to do my intake by John H. And Terresa I felt heard, welcomed, and reassured that the staff on site at Tides Edge Detox had the resources and expertise to enable… smooth, medically assisted detox, followed by a five star level of treatment, that would allow me to get back on my feet living healthy, happy, and sober. I received help with my flight from California to Florida, a ride from the airport to the facility, incredible treatment from Medical and support staff, catered meals, large flat screen TVs in the incredibly comfortable rooms, a case manager, therapist, yoga instructor, physical trainer, guided meditation, pickle ball, football, bad mitten and surfing, creative writing and art classes and so much more😇🧘‍♂️🧞‍♂️✍️🤝 If you’re serious about saving your life and having the tools Necessary in order to continue living your best life this is 100% the place for you. I honestly didn’t want to leave and made relationships I never could have dreamed of. Thank you thank you thank you Tides Edge 🙌 I hope to come back and speak as alumni when the time is right 🤞🏻

I had a terrifying experience at this facility. The facility told us they accept couples. They had rules that we we had to follow which were reasonable and we agreed too. But, Chris, the "property manager," kept… harassing me and my partner for days. He'd walk into a room and stare at us for a good five minutes. I was also told I could work while at the facility since I work remotely. Outside of a call, which I agreed to some restrictions, I was never able to get back on my laptop to work which eventually resulted in leading to an end of my contract. Michelle (Second in Command) tried to convince me that using Ativan as prescribed by my doctor; was a drug dependency issue. She was so crafty in doing so that I believed that I was early-onset for chemical dependency and this program would save my life. They over-medicated my partner to the point he passed out three times on property. They had to call an ambulance to stabilize him! Almost did the same to me and refused to allow me to seek medical treatment elsewhere. The one time I was able to get to the hospital the staff started directing my care and I wasn't able to get x-rays done on my chest. After seven days, we decided this facility wasn't for us. We kindly asked for our things and to leave. Chris, and Michelle, told us both that we weren't allowed to have our stuff, or our medication, but we could leave. I said, we need our things to get a safe place to stay. They refused. Later, I asked a nurse to use the phone to file a complaint with the state because we felt like they were coercing us to stay by holding our stuff. Which then allowed them to collect three more days insurance money. I really felt exploited at this point. Michelle said, "We're a voluntary facility, no one is holding you here, and you may leave if you'd like." I kindly told her, that I understood what she was saying, but would still like to file a complaint with the state. Which she then went on to repeat the same line three more times. I turned to the nurse and said, "Do you see what she's doing? You could loose your nursing license over this?" The nurse was shocked and remained silent. Eventually, after police intervention, and being interrupted in group six times. They magically found our stuff (which was apparently locked up and inaccessible) and allowed us to leave peacefully. They put my father's name on the bill for the facility. Which he doesn't have anything to do with this visit outside of me being on his insurance and needed to coordinate some last minute COBRA paperwork through his employer. I called the facility and said the name on the bill is wrong. I specifically told the front desk I'd file a police report if Michelle or Chris tried to contact me or my partner. Now Michelle, is calling from her personal phone and to my personal phone after I've specifically said to the facility. I don't feel comfortable talking to her after the incident. The worst part was - outside of these two people our stay was relatively pleasant. The other patients even commended us on our bravery for standing up to Chris. Apparently, we're not the only people who've been harassed and mislead by these two. I lost my job, about $100 in medication, and so much more because of this facility. They just need to cut their losses and stop trying to harass us.

She took us through the whole process from start to finish there was no… stone left unturned to improve his lifestyle to be the man that God wants him to be. What a excellent fantasticOpportunity to see this young man be the man that God needs him to be one day at a time.. I am just amazed and will continue to pray for my brother because he is my little brother and my lifeline to life
