West Palm Beach VA HCS – Stuart Reviews and Ratings
Referring professionals and healthcare workers who have worked with West Palm Beach VA HCS can leave a review in this section, as can patients and their loved ones. Accounts of how referrals and handovers were handled are especially useful.
Overall not bad, needs improvement in lab scheduling! Majority of patients are elderly Veterans with Special Needs! I Believe that when lab work is required, Veterans with Heart and Diabetes should have some type of… item/code type ID identifying them as priority( We have to fast for many hrs without food which can lead to issues with fainting etc)Early appts should be considered when scheduling! Only one Lab Tech drawing blood causing patients to wait.
Anytime I’ve had to get anything done my time gets wasted and they are absolutely useless. I could be having a heart attack and they would not care. Absolute joke of a medical center.
I am extremely disappointed with the care and lack of follow-through I received at the Stuart VA Clinic. On June 29, 2026, I underwent an MRI at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center because of significant and ongoing… pain. After my primary-care provider, Dr. B, went on vacation, I contacted the Stuart VA Clinic because I had not received any follow-up regarding the results. I separately confirmed with the West Palm Beach MRI office that the report had been transmitted within 72 hours of my appointment. By July 9, 2026, I still had not been contacted, scheduled for an appointment, or given an opportunity to discuss the MRI findings. I therefore went to the Stuart VA Clinic in person without an appointment. During that visit, Nurse Aly told me that the clinic had only received the MRI results the previous night and that the results had not yet been reviewed, which she stated was the reason no one had contacted me. This explanation conflicts with the information I received from the West Palm Beach MRI office confirming that the report had been sent approximately 72 hours after my June 29, 2026 MRI. During the same visit, I personally handed Nurse Aly my completed disabled parking permit application. She assured me that she would: • Call me back later that day. • Submit the disabled parking permit application for provider review. • Place a referral to Pain Management. I never received the promised phone call. By July 12, 2026, I still had not received a phone call, appointment, or any update regarding my MRI results, disabled parking permit application, or Pain Management referral. Because no one contacted me, I was forced to walk into the Stuart VA Clinic again without an appointment to follow up. During that visit, I learned that neither my disabled parking permit request nor the Pain Management referral had been submitted. My parking permit application had not even been reviewed by a provider. On July 12, 2026, I specifically followed up on my disabled parking permit application and attempted to confirm whether it would be submitted that day. During this visit, I was also evaluated by a nurse practitioner whom I had never met. Treatment recommendations were made without a detailed examination and without adequate consideration of my documented medical history. One of the first questions I was asked was whether I had completed physical therapy, even though I had already undergone approximately one year of physical therapy. That treatment history, along with consultations with multiple physicians regarding this condition, is documented in my VA medical record. Despite this, physical therapy was recommended again without meaningful discussion of the treatment I had already completed, the outcome of that treatment, or the findings of my MRI. As a veteran experiencing significant pain, I expected timely communication, continuity of care, proper review of my medical history, and follow-through on promised actions. Instead, I experienced unnecessary delays, poor coordination, broken commitments, and treatment recommendations that did not appear to reflect my documented history. I am formally requesting: • A review of how my care and MRI follow-up were handled. • Immediate processing and provider review of my disabled parking permit application. • An appropriate referral to Pain Management. • A review of why the MRI report was not addressed promptly after it was transmitted. • A written apology for the delays, lack of communication, and failure to complete the actions that were promised to me. Veterans deserve healthcare that is timely, coordinated, informed, and accountable. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at the Stuart VA Clinic.
Staff is great phlebotomist is great!
Beyond excellent service everyone from the front desk to all the nurses and doctors give excellent service to all the veterans
So, I called last week and spoke to a lady at the front desk because I Sceduled an appointment for through MyHelathyVet. Instead of making that appointment they called me while I was at work, when I returned there call… I was told to just walk in. I let her know that I work until 4 and that's why I had to schedule the appointment, because like every job I have every worked they requested me to submit my appointment date and time so I could use sick time. But this lady said there weren't going to scedule it just walk in and I could do so up to 4:15.Well I did and to no surprise to me, everyone at the front counter was gone and they were locking the building up. I m dealing with very painful problems with my foot, if I could deal with it I would like most things because of the terrible standard of care from this clinic. So for me to even schedule that appointment it's has to be bad. That's just the first issue, my second issue with this place is the fact that my 41 yr old brother was diagnosed with Colon Cancer stage 4, his cancer doctor told him that if he has it at his age that his brother should also get screened and check. My 3 other brother already have been they have private insurance. Meanwhile, I had to set up a primary care appointment with another new doctor "Go Figure!" After waiting 2 weeks this old grumpy lady doctor wakes in and ask me why I m here, so I tell her. Then the next thing she says blows me away. She looks at me and ask "Ask me about my sobriety!" So I answered her and said I have been sober now going on six years, and that's unrelated to why I m here to see you. She then tells me that she can't scedule a Colon check with out send a sample out first, so she orders that and a drug test. For what!? I have no clue, but she was more interested in that than the fact I needed to get screened for possibly Colon Cancer. So, like we all do I jump through there hopes and do the test and send of the sample. Now, this was sent off November 8th,2025 and I received nothing back not a result sheet, or phone call for my appointment to have my colon checked. Which the samples are not at all what you should soully base your decision on. That's well know information, but this primary care doctor never Sceduled me an appointment to go get the real test done. This clinic is one of the worst ran VA out patient clinics I have every been to, the GAF is non existent and whoever is in charge should lose there job. Especially after reading comments and seeing the have a 2.6 star rating. What a joke this place is! Also, why are they all allowed to close at 4:30pm? I people Veterans are work during the day, so why since this is the only clinic in Stuart, do they nit have a second shift and stay open until at least 10 pm. I thought these Clinics were suppose to help veterans get seen without having to drive to a major VA Hospital, but we can't do that if you close before most of use get off work. I work from 6 am to 4pm or later some days. But these people only work from 8am-430pm, while most Veterans are at work and can't just take off to come in whenever they want.
Horrible clinic. The employees here do not care about veterans at all. DR. Brezzinsky is horrible and very selfish. I highly recommend going to a different clinic.
Been going to the Stuart VA for over 20 years, very happy with them and all my health care providers from the nurses, their assistants and Dr Badzinski, all have treated me well no complaints, very well run facility.… Also if you have an appointment, I have always been seen within 10 min of the time reserved. Larry
If they assign you to Dr. Naha, LNP, ask to have your provider changed before the appointment. Worst healthcare experience that I've had in a while. I hope to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
Well, where to start. Been away from the VA for 16 years because they didn't take my service related injuries and issues seriously. So I heard a lot has changed and they are better. Well let me tell ya, the VA in Stuart… is NOT! My "doctor" Dr Katherine Lee Launer, clearly did not take me seriously. Look, Im a huge goofball and I joke around. So I try to be a decent patient and let my docs do their job. But I need to them to take my issues seriously, even when Im being silly and poking fun at myself. But she clearly did not. I explained my issues (which are service connected) and as you get older they kinda rear their ugly head. So, we go do some tests MRI's, and apparently I had to have a very tests done for my heart. They never called me back for anything, didn't tell me the results, didn't follow up. So I made an appointment to come in, they wanted to cancel it because I have an appoint 5 months from now! That doesn't help me 1 bit! So I explain why I want to come in, one of the meds they have me on gives me terrible mouth sores. I rather deal with my stomach issues than the mouth sores. So they put me on another which I explained several times does not work (been dealing with this issue for over 20 years, I've tried these meds many times before), their answer is pretty much "too bad." There's you free health care and socialized medicine for ya. Anyways, I then complain about my lower back issues. I never asked for drugs but for PHYSICAL THERAPY and that was like pulling teeth! Heck give me something at this point! A back brace, a ban aid, something! But they finally put me in for it. Generally just not helpful. I really recommend not going here. The West Palm VA is a little better. But they like to do things like cancel appointments on you and never tell you or make you wait 2 hours after your scheduled time to take a test. But thats a different story. So, the VA still sucks, that's what government run health care gets you
When you call they hang up on you all the time West Palm Beach told me to call them for an x-ray on my knee they told me they don't do X-rays after an hour making phone calls all they had to do is send me to fort Pierce… nobody took time to look in the computer I know they're probably overworked an underpaid but the veterans are not being taken care of
Went for labs today. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a long wait.
My husband Mike Roden and I want to give the highest review to the personnel who greet you as you enter the Stuart office. Without the compassion, understanding, and willingness of Chris to work with us, we would have… never been able to get his father in for an appointment prior to our having to leave for work. Allie has always been attentive and diligent with following up to ensure that Jack gets what he needs in a timely manner. During the appointment, Dr. Badzinski was very thorough, helpful, and kind. Not only are the three of us appreciative of their time and energy but also grateful for the VA and truly hope that such good people are kept in place to help those veterans, who served our country. What an essential and important service!
Went there sick as all.i rairly get sick so when I do,it can be serious.called and went in.never was seen by a provider.assistant went from my room to provider and was finally told I had allergies which I have never had… in my life.was told to go to Walgreens to get some allergy relief medicine.how can an intern diagnose?plus,I was charged 15 dollars.
Ive been going there a few years now, and I can completely understand why vets off themselves over lack of care.
Clean and staff are helpful. The doctors care and get me the help I need for my issues.
Clueless
Try and call them to make apts...no good. Hung up on twice....
I am in hold for 31 min. Now ,,,, look like it nobody cares to answer the patient waiting , is terrible , we are at the mercy of some assistance personnel , yes it's a shame , stop the thanks , and give a fast service… and professional.
My 1st visit there as I recently moved from out of town. A lot of negative comments and I was apprehensive. I had a positive experience at this office. Everyone was willing to help and were very professional. The fact… less opinions are the real problem. I would of given 5 stars but since it's only my first visit I will perhaps wait for results of my visit to consider that.
I'd love to give 5 stars but i can't i don't even want to give them one. I've been coming here for at least 10 years and i think its time to make a change. I've been waiting a month to get a consult for imaging and an… MRI on a shoulder injury. I call multiple times a week and no one can ever seem to get the consult request pushed up to the practitioner. I've been patient with everyone I've talked to and I've requested the manager a couple of times and i haven't got a response from them either. Please Do Better.
Now i see why the low reviews. Called twice. First, i was told it'll be a moment. 35 minutes 20 seconds on hold. Called 2nd time and i said i needed to make an appointment change so that they knew it was a quick help.… Was told that it would be a second. 54 minutes and 50 seconds later, they closed and no longer answered my call. "Wonderful" service! Dont know whats up with this office but so far it's been the worst VA clinic ive dealt with.
Vey frustrated and disgusted by this clinic…had to wait a month for appointment then the Doctor wouldn’t even look at the problem, requested a test and they said no, what a joke.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! THIS CLINIC IS EVIL TO THE CORE. PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING. My father is a severely disabled veteran who I am the sole caretaker of. He is also bed ridden. In the last 5 months they forced… him to come in for visits when he was already in the home based primary care. 4 out of 5 visits we did not see a dr or nurse because they were supposedly on vacation. Not a single phone call text email or letter in advance about this. Even after complaining they still kept doing it. My father has cancer and copd as well as other old injuries. They kept restricting his pain medication he's been on for 30 years. After complaining to Washington DC a few times they end up changing their mind. They just again tried to cut him off again. They cut it in half. So now I have to suffer hearing my father moan all day and night because he's in pain. And I can't do anything to help. Next my father had to be admitted to the hospital. They sent all his images and labs to this dr and nurse that were his PC. They found a aneurysm near his heart. This was over 2 months ago. They never contacted us and never told us. We had to find out from a private dr. We were in shock. These ppl neglect their patients and neglect their duties. Especially "TO DO NO HARM". We can't get anyone on the phone. They don't answer or take 3 days to respond. And even when I ask to speak to the doctor even if it's a appointment they never do. They send a rude incompetent nurse to call and relay a message from these incredibly evil doctors. None of his prescriptions are ever on time even after calling it in 7 days in advance. I refuse to call these nazis by their medical title. But BEWARE of romanelli and badinski. Not sure spelling is right but they are extremely evil. Just look at the other reviews. Also the man in charge there I think his name is James. No matter how bad these wannabe professionals act he backs them up. He threatened my 75 yr old father in a wheelchair on 24/7 oxygen to have his arrested because we got upset about the pointless trips into that clinic without notice of appointment cancelation. Also how his "doctors" don't even read these patients charts and start making life changing decisions for patients with no knowledge of their past. These "doctors" fail to inform patients of serious medical issues that come up. No follow ups or warnings or anything. One of their receptionists even told me that they cannot keep employees there because they don't like how that clinic treats patients. The head guy James I think (because he wouldn't tell me his name) is probably the most corrupt incompetent piece of trash to walk this earth. He is fully aware of the horrible treatment and does absolutely nothing to change or rectify it. My father has said he rather get kicked in the face by a donkey as a remedy rather than see this morally corrupt clinic. Please do some research before ypu go there. If palm beach is not a available option the va does provide free transportation to and from the hospital. When you make a appointment you can tell them you need to set up transportation for the appointment and they will get the ball rolling on that. I promise this will be far less of a headache. Also you will be informed if there is a problem unlike this clinic. I seriously think they don't care if a vet dies. I am not procrastinating. Do the research. YOUR LIFE LITERALLY DEPENDS ON IT!
My husband went to the clinic today as the first time. He moved from Broward to St. Lucie. The nurse was so blunt and kept on cutting him off whenever she asked a question. I am a nurse myself, I asked her why she was… talking to him that way, she reply we are busy. I felt so disrespected that we had to walk out. I have never seen someone treated a War Hero that way before.
Would leave 0 stars. The “doctors” and “nurses” are absolutely terrible. Hands down the worst so-called VA Clinic we have ever had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with. They are extremely unprofessional and rude… and they absolutely do not care about or address vital questions and concerns from neither veterans nor their caretakers. When patients and caretakers call with an urgent and legitimate concern, the staff VERY rarely return your call (if ever) and almost never address the issue even when they do call. Bottom line: Do not take any one you care to this facility. Take your loved ones somewhere else - literally anywhere else but here! The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. They are actually the only positive attribute of this office.
