Brightli – Nixa Photos and Images
Photographs have not been supplied for this Brightli – Nixa listing. Images matter when you are choosing between providers, so it is worth asking what the building, bedrooms and communal areas actually look like.
Check parking, how the site connects to Nixa transport, and what reception looks like on a first visit. Willingness to answer these questions says something useful about a provider.

Approaches on record include addiction counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family systems / couples therapy and group therapy. These are not applied uniformly, so ask specifically what the program you are considering uses.

Brightli – Nixa Reviews
Accreditation and licensing tell part of the story at Brightli. Reviews from patients and their loved ones tell another part, and the two are shown on this page so they can be read together.
I was here back in 2014 it was hell. We had to ask at every doorway if you could enter. Teenagers were put in "chair time". Dont get me started on the metal IMFH rooms (basically they were locking jail cells). This… place made my mental health way worse. Now some staff made my stay amazing ( Mr Reggie, Mr Dan, and Mr Carlos) to name a few. Idk if Holly is still there but she was honestly one of the worst. I remember having to pee my pants due to the fact they wouldn't let me use the restroom. I spent 11 months there.
I was a resident around when 9-11 happened, put my foot through their dining room window. I can relate to the IMHF rooms, spent many a night locked in them. Never would I recommend this place for any child. I'm in my… 30's and still have dreams about this place
Former client (2009). I can say this place shaped me to be the person I am today. However, I would have been happier reading that they have dismantled the “timeout room”, which was made of metal. How that room is legal… is beyond me. This room caused me a lot of long-lasting trauma. Besides this, the staff at Milano House saved my life and I’m forever thankful for them.
Ex Milano client, I legit just left today. I was with another client who posted a review and agreed with everything Alex Renner says. Helped me so much. Thanks you guys.
I went there when I was in grade school and there was some things I did not like like some people ask to be entering into another room I was put in the time-out room which was all metal walls it was not comfortable to… me plus the girls have you put downstairs and the boys are upstairs. The person that was in charge of the place wasn't there so often but she was really nice to all the kids from elementary school to high school. If you have kids with mental health issues I recommend do a walk-through of the place to see if you want to send your kid there.
My son benefited so much from this place. The therapist is a rock star!
Would give no stars I could. This place ruined my mentality I get flashbacks when even drive past the rd it’s on. I felt like a prison because you literally had to ask to enter every room if you didn’t it would result… in chair time I was 16 sitting in time out I was ridiculous
It was pretty fun there, learned how to do a mort impression from madagascar
This place is both good and bad but not the worst thing I’ve received for mental health. As a ex client of Milano I am proud to say it has helped me get my life back in order and a lot of the staff were both friendly… and helpful although some did come off as a bit rude at times, food and dietary needs are always a good meet and they’re very open to your needs and will provide a special meal for your allergies to stay away :D. Overall don’t listen to the people saying it’s like a prison ((I’m most definitely sure they’re a old client trying to scare you away)) this place is a great place for mental health and rehabilitation of the mind
I was there for 11 months and I loved it there
I am the mother of a teenage girl that was in this program for 18 long months. This place has its pros and cons. I wasn't happy to see a male staff patting my teenage girl down before she could come up the stairs. I do… believe that there is a bigger problem with male staff and under age girls. I do know that there was a hippa violation after my daughter was discharged, and I know this because a certain male staff was in contact with my 14 year old after she discharged. He was 28! I do not recommend this place!
