Find New Doctors.... and I'll think about putting it at a 5 star 🌟... Overall I miss Bear River the connection I've made in there I've felt safe to talk to the counselors and the staff shout out to them deeply I would… go back again NO JUDGMENT, Just Support!
I didn't get a very fair deal there. They had bed bugs in detox and my clothes came up missing. There medical denied me of medical attention when I had phomonia. Bear river wouldn't give me a ride home when urgent care… sent a letter back with me recommending i go home. I had a package delivered there using my snap card and they enjoyed my goodies. And it is supposed to be an all womens facility and there were trangenders there. I guess I had some bad luck. Other than nothing being done and no one returning my call the staff and the classes are very helpful . I am hoping someone can find it in there heart to do the right thing
Life changing. so much love for this place. Great people looking to give back. I love ya’ll so much!! #Reggie #Jennifer #allthestaff .. I’m sending lost souls your way🙏
I was at the Mount Pleasant campus and it was great from staff to food to class content. The people make the place.
I was just thinking about the time i went to the pharmacy after i got out and the pharmacist informed me that bear river was charging my insurance for medications that i never received. Can someone say FRAUD?
Thanks for all the staff and friends,I miss you all tremendously !!
I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before going to Bear River Health if you actually want care, support, or professionalism. From intake, I clearly stated I had a wound that needed to be treated twice daily.… During detox, it was handled appropriately—but the second I transitioned into the rehabilitation side, that care completely stopped. I was left to manage it on my own, which is beyond negligent for a facility responsible for patient health. The detox portion did what it was supposed to do—medications were given to help with withdrawal. But once I moved into rehab, everything went downhill fast. I never saw a doctor again, not even once. My medications were changed with little to no oversight, and it sent me straight back into withdrawal. For a place that claims to specialize in recovery, that’s honestly shocking. Trying to get help was a joke. Staff repeatedly told me to enter my concerns about my medications into the “med tablet” and that someone would respond. I submitted requests FIVE separate times—no response, no follow-up, nothing. It felt like they just say that to avoid actually dealing with patients. The environment itself felt more like a controlled facility than a place meant for healing. Overcrowded rooms, little privacy, and an overall atmosphere that doesn’t promote recovery in any way. You’re required to “level up” just to make a phone call, which my family didn’t know. They were so worried they actually filed a missing persons report. That should tell you everything about how poorly communication is handled. Medical concerns were not taken seriously either. When my blood sugar reached 283, I was discouraged from going to the hospital and told it would be considered AMA. At that point, I chose my health and left—and of course, they still labeled it AMA. On top of that, when I left, they didn’t even provide me with the medications that had been ordered during my stay—only what I originally came in with. Completely irresponsible and unsafe. There were also multiple situations that made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the living environment, and there was little to no intervention or accountability from staff. To be fair, there was at least one provider during detox who seemed to genuinely care, but that level of professionalism did not exist in rehab. The staff overall came across as dismissive, unresponsive, and unprofessional. This place does not feel like it’s built to help people recover—it feels like a place people get stuck in without real support because of the funds the center receives. I would not send anyone I care about here.
You done a wonderful thing in helping my daughter, thank you
I loved my experience here at brh 10/10 definitely recommend. They are all very great here and if you do come ask for lexi she's the best one here
You saved so many, not only myself, many of my friends lives. God Bless Bear River and those who need somewhere, someone,.. ALL LOST,. THIS IS THAT SOMEWHERE, ALL ALONE,. THIS IS THAT SOMEONE!!! I DO LOVE YOU!!!
The staff genuinely go above and beyond for clients. It's clean, warm (sometimes too warm), the food is amazing, they have a great treatment system, they do M.A.T for some clients. I absolutely appreciate the genuine… kindness and support the staff gave me during my stay and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for SUD or AUD rehab/detox.
That's where my miracle happened answer this day I'm 15 months sober and clean
I lied , this place is incredibly amazing. If u are truly ready they are waiting for you with doors wide open , I can vouch for that I've been through those doors 3 years ago later I am a happy man and I couldn't do… without them being sober since then thank you so much all of you sorry for my pain in the butt behavior.
Thank you for giving my father the help he needed to overcome his addiction. I will always be so grateful to you all.
This place set me free!
I am so grateful for Bear River. I would recommend this treatment facility to anyone because they really helped me to save my life. The support and care that I received was phenomenal. I learned so much about… maintaining a life of recovery and they helped me to set up after care. Great medical staff and facilitators.
One year ago, I would start my day violently sick & wishing for the suffering to stop. TODAY, I am counting down two weeks to ONE YEAR CLEAN. Maybe you're in the same shoes. Stay at an absolute bare minimum a week, it… then gets much easier to claw your way to 30 days. Embrace the LOVE you can find on here. Be honest and unashamed. Say what you think, what you're going through, but more importantly LISTEN, be open-minded - that's how to get the most out of your time here. The place is not bad/fine/good. You have a clean room, bed, and facility, showers. Some of these other reviews mention amazing food: this is no five star hotel. What do you expect? For the staff, some have a little more patience and empathy than others, you can pretty quickly pick out who's been 'through it' and who hasn't. Advocate for yourself respectfully and you will be heard, everyone I've ever met there has been only focused on helping. But man... Be KIND. Kind and respectful and I promise you will get nothing but the same back. It's not gonna be for everyone, that's your call. Some of it is tough love, but that's how recovery works. If you want help you can find it here. I'm no expert; while one year is awesome, I still have my struggles - but I have the lifelong skills I learned with BRH to help me through. I truly owe my life in part to Bear River, and ALL of the staff there. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I wish I could name names, but special shout out to my counselor and a few members of staff. Hope you know you rock. - Casey, Or B
I went there it's an excellent place to get help awesome I recommend it to anybody
Bear River saved my life, being able to not only recover and learn in such a professional and comfortable environment was outstanding. The main campus/hotel place is phenomenal and the staff was genuinely some of the… nicest people I've ever met. It was an empowering and humbling experience being able to stay here and I'm officially a year and a half sober because of it. Thank you Bear River!
It was my worst experience of my life. There have been people trying to kill me. And I HATE TO SAY, THERE WERE TECS THAT TOOK BRIBES TO SET ME UP. THE TECS AT NORTH CAMPUS TRIED TO SET ME UP IN HOOGLAND HALL. THERE'S NO… CAMERA'S IN HOOGLAND HALL. MY COUNSELOR KELLY TOOK A BRIBE TO GET ME TO GO TO THE PARK ONE DAY. SHE MET A LADY THERE, AND THEN POINTED AT ME, SHOWING MY LOCATION. ALSO THE TEC AT CENTER, TOOK BRIBES. HIS NAME IS JOE, AND KIARA. THEY TRIED TO SEND ME TO A SOBER LIVING HOUSE, WHERE I WAS GOING TO BE KLLED. ITS SO FUNNY THAT YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT A APPLICATION TO BE ACCEPTED AT A SOBER LIVING HOUSE. I WAS IN MY COUNSELOR OFFICE CALLING THE SOBER LIVING HOUSE, TO SEE IF I COULD HAVE A BOTTOM BUNK. THE MANAGER AT THE HOUSE SAID WE DON'T HAVE ANY BOTTOM BUNKS. SO 20 MINUTES LATER, MY COUNSELOR COMES TO ME AND SAYS, YOU'RE GOING TO OASIS. THE SAME HOUSE THAT SAID THEY HAD NO BOTTOM BUNKS. NOW UNDERSTAND THIS, I NEVER FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION. I KNEW IMMEDIATE, THAT SHE WAS TRYING TO GET ME KILLED. THE FBI IS GOING TO BE INVESTIGATING this matter. It's so sad that the people that were hired to help me, did the opposite. But there is a God, and he sees everything. God will judge you, not me. You underestimated me. Took me for a fool. Never again. You don't deserve to have your position at Bear River. I knew the entire time, what your plans were. And kieth, come on bro, all that faking. I knew what you were up to.
BEAR RIVER CHANGED MY LIFE. I WOULD NOT BE WERE I AM TODAY WITHOUT THEM ..
They are so sweet to mom let my mom know nia threaten to throw my phone 📱 away love you mom
✨️🌙When you are in the midst of pain, Bear River is a supportive force. With employees like Andrea 🫶, who went above and beyond to assist me in helping a client, there is no need to be alone. Supportive, knowledgeable… and caring staff are a blessing 🙌✨️
I went to Bear River back in October of 2024 when I decided I wanted to get clean, I have always been a night owl and they wanted me getting up at 6 am showering by 7 and being to first group by 8 😂 I couldn't do it, I… started like 3 days and was like well I think I'm going to head out, I was ready to get clean I just wasn't on a good schedule. But now Now almost 1 year later I'm still not clean. I've been on MAT for one year and 1 month. One year and one month too long! I'm ready to step it down one more notch. I want off the subs and I know you guys can help me, the staff was so kind and considerate and very understanding that I just wasn't on a good schedule and that's why I left. But as I was saying one year later and I'm on a good schedule now! I have a job now, I'm in school now. And I really truly believe it was partially from my experience at Bear River Health! I have a lot to do with it and so does the big man upstairs. We all took part in my recovery, I didn't feel alone and I'm ready to come back and try for a couple months.. I know we can do this! Thank you for your time 🥰
