Southeast Healthcare – Delaware Detox and Rehab Services

What Southeast Healthcare – Delaware offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Run for the hills. I’ve been a patient at Southeast for over 5 years and in the last 2 years it has gone massively downhill. You will call for weeks on end with no response, have the doctors/ NPs not show up for… appointments, and inevitably end up without necessary medications. Awful experiences every time.

Very amazing place, great team there I’ve seen sally for almost 3 years now I have a diagnosis called phsycosis I have been doing so much better in my life and she prescribed and found me the exact medicine i needed it… does take time to get here and to recover but it didn’t take too much time and I’m very glad and thankful for this place. Thank you so much sally for taking me seriously and for all your kindness and hard work I really appreciate you helping me and helping me and my moms relationship. If I could do more stars I definitely would!

If I could put 0 stars I absolutely would. I was told I would need to seek more personal care so they referred me to a therapist which took a whole month and a half, just to charge me, which is an error on their part… they said would be fixed. It's an hour till the appointment, it's not fixed, and I am done. I feel manipulated and used by the people who claimed they were here to help me, because I was TOLD I needed several appointments before they could actually help my situation, and then I'm mysteriously charged on my second visit? I'm done. Went here as a kid and a doctor told me I didn't have PTSD because of "needing to have physical trauma" and now I am paying for this severe mistake, and they're barely helping me. Save yourself some tears and wasted time and go somewhere else.

I came to Southeast in a crisis relating to trauma, I had been begging for help for over a year. I am proud to say this team came in and was the front line for assisting me in glueing myself back together. The… generosity and humanity these people carry is so wonderful and hard to come by. Thank you for helping me save myself. ♥️

If I could give them something less than one star I would. I went to do my intake that I already did on my phone. Showed up 20 minuets early only to sit 30 minutes past my appointment just to have eyes rolled at me when… I asked to reschedule.. you people are rude and don’t care about mental health.. seek the therapy you claim you have there.

UPDATE (04/25) : Here I am, months and months later, to say YIKES. I just had the most unfortunate experience with one of two Psychiatrists who work there. I missed an appointment, due to car issues, which I had called… and explained what was going on. They said no problem and rescheduled. Then, later, the refill for my medication was denied. I start to panic, and ended up calling and calling for two weeks before hearing back that it was because I missed my appointment. I explained I was having serious side effects and needed them ASAP. And, when I did get that refill, she acted like she was doing me a favor since it was after a missed appointment. I was dumbfounded. Fast forward to my next appointment, I ask for her to explain the reasoning behind withholding important medications due to missing an appointment, when I still need them regardless of making said appointment, and how irresponsible and dangerous that can be, and as a psychiatrist she should know better. She threw her hands in the air and told me it was MY fault I went without my meds, not hers. It was MY fault because I missed my appointment. Essentially scolding me for not making the appointment. That essentially I didnt deserve medication because I didnt make it to my appointment. This is DANGEROUS. My mental health is tragically reliant on these medications in order for me to function, and survive. She KNOWS this! She is my psychiatrist! She saw the state I was in when I arrived, unmedicated. I was a mess. I could barely talk. And yet, fast forward to now, she thinks she has a right to "punish" me for missing an appointment by withholding my meds and scolding me for missing an appointment, like she's my mother and not my psychiatrist. Truth is she enjoys gatekeeping these important medications, because it makes her feel important. Its sick. I've never been treated so unprofessionally by a "doctor"... Maybe she needs to revisit her education to better understand that what she is doing is dangerous, how she is acting is unprofessional, and people deserve better care than that regardless of income. I hope they review her professional attitude towards patients and take the time to correct some of the behavior I witnessed. She also made a comment "I see so many people all day every day, I dont have time to check and make sure everyone has their refills!" Likeeeeeeeeeeeeee thats literally your job, ma'am. Also I was asking for them not expecting them without having asked. Seriously. Time to retire. -------- (2022) It's really unfortunate that low income people don't have better options. Specifically those of us who are trans and/or queer. I tried to have an intake appointment and left within the first five minutes having a panic attack because the old guy apparently hasn't had an sensitivity training in regards to dealing with trans patients. He also insisted I took my mask off which is wildly inappropriate because I am not only immunocompromised but also seeking help due to extreme anxiety. I had to reschedule with someone else, hopefully that goes better, but my initial experience left me feeling hopeless during a time of need.

Brenda never remembers anything about you or your case, is late and lacks professionalism and a way to work with people in addiction recovery with tough family situations. Go elsewhere don't waste your time

Just don’t waste your time I was scheduled an appointment upon arrival they told me my dr wasn’t in today and I couldn’t see him for another 2 weeks after already waiting 2 months for that appointment. Nobody called to… let me know it was canceled. Would have been nice to have been informed seeing it’s an hour drive for me to even go.

DONT GO HERE . My sister has faced mental health issues for years and it has gotten worse within the last year. She has been pinkslipped multiple times and has received inpatient mental services for 5 days or less… however I have called her doctor at this facility to advise that she was a threat to herself and to my family which she lives with and I’ve asked that he write a prior authorization for a long stay at an inpatient mental health facility and I have not received any help. Her health has deteriorated because she does not take her medication nor does she want to be seen by a doctor. Plus her case worker in this same office has not been any help, I’ve been in touch and have not received the help she needs. I’m very disappointed that this office calls themselves a healthcare office.

The staff here has always been understanding very polite the past 2 times I needed refills after a week several phone calls trips to office they said my script was going be taken care of well No SCRIPT NO Response at… all I am learning that is what to expect if you are low income being a mental health facility you would think the last thing they would do is ignore patients request

Trying for a week now to get a prescription filled. Just to find out they can’t do anything because the doctor is out all week. And last week. Only comes once a week. Just stay away. They’ll just let you drop off meds… for however long without a care.

Doctors won't call you back when you have an emergency in the E R. with bad side effects to medicine they prescribed. Must just want your insurance money. They don't care about you.. need to be reported to the state… board..and pay for time off work due to their negligence & no response to a emergency. Hope some supervisor reads these reviews

For some reason every time i walked in this place it smelled like they installed the carpeting like an hour ago. From what i remember they had a weird art deco style painting hanging in the lobby which i thought was… mundane at best. The receptionist window was a little large for my liking and it made me feel like i was being watched even when the receptionist was gone. I clearly remember the fake plants which was horrible. Ironically enough there were a few real plants which makes no sense at all. The hallways were way too tall, and the interior made me feel like a mouse running through a maze when i had to traverse it. I casually suggested an automated system where i would be able to walk in and use a medication dispenser, much like the check out at wal mart, and they scoffed at me. Lastly, I thought the windows in the back were situated way too far up in the wall, it made me feel like i was deep down inside of the building which was scary.

Dr Taylor does not care about people. She never met with me when my ex broke up with me. Taylor told her to breakup with me. Dr Taylor has no morals or respect for the community. I recommend that people leave her for… other professionals. Had she called me and setup an appointment to discuss her reasons, I would not feel the way I feel about Dr Taylor. She is self centered and evil.

I don't know the details of the one star reviews but I go there on a regular basis for counselling and have not had any issues. In fact, I'm quite pleased with my overall experience. All of my visits have started within… 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. There are great programs for financial assistance in addition to friendliness of the staff. I see the younger Joe. He's very professional, easy to talk to, and extremely insightful. Working with him has helped me gain a great deal of understanding in many different areas of my life. I am very pleased with my experiences here.

This is by far the worst mental health center I have ever been to. If you decide to go to southeast plan on a two hour wait. If you need to get a refill plan on prescriptions, plan on southeast to never call you back. I… have called three times with NO response, Kroger has two times with no response. I am out of medications and I just can’t make them care about patients needs. If I had enough money I would definitely go somewhere else. Just an awful place!!!
