Staff is great. They know what you are dealing with first hand and go far beyond to assist you. I've already recommended others to joins our sobriety life! Keep it up
I love the staff, and my time there was well spent, super comfortable the food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond for me! Highly recommend this place Midwest saved my life! Thank you
Super positive experience I really got to know myself again
Really good place to be at they really care and they really help you with your mental and substance use disorder.. great people great program just a really good place to be 🙂
Midwest saved me if not for Midwest and the staff and specific people like Josh Jason my case manager David Jess Autumn Gabe Ms Trish Dale Wendell the nurse Kansas and the therapist Tim i would have done detox and left… and went right back to using but the above people I specifically mentioned gave me hope to know they all was where I had been and just seeing how happy and how there life is was Soo motivating and they all took the time out to not just talk but have conversations with me they really care and I cannot be more greatful for each and every one of them they are not the only reason I am where I am today but they all play a huge part in my sobriety I will never forget them and I couldn't be more Greatful that God placed them in my life without them I do not think I would have made it.... I hope they all are aware how much they ALL mean to alot of us that came thru the program.... I can never repay them or Midwest for what they have given me.... They guided me through all the emotions taught me the tools I needed to get myself back.... They all hold a very special place in my heart I love each and every one of them .... Forever Greatful - Joseph Rowe
Honestly cant believe how much help they've been.. license, court, you name it and they've had my back and im forever greatful. The staff is super friendly. Overall just a great experience. My first treatment experience… and I truly believe it'll be my last thanks to midwest. Thank you guys for everything!
Do NOT go to this place. The provider is a joke who doesn't listen to a word you say about the medication that works for you. Understand that once you are in there, good luck getting discharged even one day early. If… you want to go home for whatever reason, you will have to AMA. When you AMA, you don't get your belongings for 72 hours (if you come back any later for them, they don't give it to you and they get donated), you get no phone call, and they walk you off the property. They do this so people can't leave and they get the full amount of insurance money. Place literally cares about money more than your wellbeing. DO NOT GO HERE!!! **EDIT- In regards to Midwest's response, let me be clear that this facility ABSOLUTELY cares more about money than clients wellbeing. Of course they are going to disagree with my review! They legitimately tried charging my insurance over $30,000 for ONE 7 day treatment. The cost is close to $6,000. I'm sure they will deny it though. Also they say to contact them if you want to talk about it further, but trust me they will ignore you. I had medication that was supposed to be sent to my pharmacy from them after my discharge and they never did. Tried to call them SIX times and got no where. Take your BUSINESS ELSEWHERE PEOPLE
I must say that Midwest Detox Center should be rated #1 in the Midwest. Iv been there 3 times now and in all 3 experiences were great!!!. Staff was amazing never had any problems and all my needs were met. If I ever had… to go again to any treatment center for detox and residential it would definitely be Midwest Detox Center.🙏🏽👍🏽
I don't even know how I've kept sober, except the threat of going back to this dump. There are really good people that work there that take their jobs seriously....and then there are the other ones. And the other ones… like to let chaos ensue. Christa, Becca, and Miss Brea, want you to get healthy, but the others that work there are only there to have a power trip over traumatized women. Especially Tomiko or whatever she's changed her name to now so that her reputation doesn't catch up to her i seriously appreciate you contacting me..almost a year later. But hey you tried, right?
Very clean great staff and very helpful...one of the best detox centers i have been to
I was at this place about 7 years or so ago it wasn't horrible yeah there were things going on or people leaving and bringing stuff back in but if you wanted to get clean and stay clean the resources were there for you… to use and you just had to make the right choices not to hang around the few bad apples that made there way into there it helped me and I have been clean since
This is by first the worst detox center I’ve been to! I was so sick and wasn’t even there for a full 24 hours. They waited until I was so sick throwing up to give me any meds to help me. Couldn’t even hold down water.… The medicine they did give me I puked up because they waited for me to be in full blown withdrawal to administer any medication. I was so sick I couldn’t even hold down water. When I asked to go the hospital because I knew I was dehydrated they just left me laying there saying they would see what they could do. Nobody ever came back to updated me on anything. I ended up checking myself out and called 911 to take me to the hospital where they gave me more help than this detox center. Come to find out after the officers showed up they said they have people Overdose at this center all the time. These people will lie just to get you to center. The workers are very unprofessional ghetto and walk around that place like it’s joke. I could’ve stayed at home and taken the zofran and gabapentin. Also I did not list any emergency contact information or a release form. When my mom called up there they told my mom that they kicked me out because I overdosed. Which was nothing but a lie. I checked myself out and immediately called 911 to seek the help I actually needed. People sneak drugs into this center without any problem because they do not give a correct search. The people working don’t do their job they just run around that place goofing off and paying no attention to people who are there to get help. By far one of the worst detox centers I’ve been to and this wasn’t my first rodeo with detox centers, and rehabs. The workers have time to flirt with each other, but not time to check on the people that are there detoxing. The nurse practitioner is supposed to do the drug test in the searches and they have other people that aren’t CDCA or a nurse practitioner doing searches and then putting it in underneath other people’s accounts On the computer. Very very disappointed with this center do not send your loved one here if you want them to actually get clean and get the help they need because they will not get it. And then when I left, I couldn’t carry my things I was so sick and I said I would come back for it and they told me if I didn’t take it with me that I couldn’t come back for it and they would donate it so I said just donate my things because I wasn’t in any shape to take off carrying all my stuff. I was so sick Going through withdrawal but thank you to the Toledo Police Department for actually helping me and Mercy Hospital for doing what they can to get me into a different detox center. This place is by far the biggest joke don’t send your loved ones here not only do they feed you false information to get you there but they’ll answer the phone and tell anybody any information about you rather you sign a release form or not.
Staff took care of me well, ensured that I had hygiene, cleaned my clothes, a safe place to stay, and caring staff. There was painting going on in the great room, but they managed to keep things organized and running… smoothly. Special thanks to Angel, Becca, and Mike W.
The moment I walked in for 7 day detox, Mike was very rude he went through my belongings without me present and picked out the clothes for me to wear.I told him I am Muslim I need all of my clothes. Mike replied I’m not… religious His reply was “this how do things” and he would not give me my books or my toiletries which is what the website tells you to bring and I spoke to him before coming and he stated books were allowed. I wasn’t told I would be in a room of 8 other women until Rose who completed intake informed me. She told me it was only for 24hrs I was in the room the entire stay. I saw roommates with their shampoo and body wash books etc I didn’t understand why I couldn’t have my belongings as nothing was open and before I bought anything I read the ingredients.Intakes should not be done in lobby they asked residents not to come through but the residents walked through anyway. The next morning I spoke to the morning staff Marisa and she gave me everything no questions asked. It was disappointing to not have any groups during the day. So I slept. I was given no discharge paperwork just a piece of paper with barely any information on it. Overall Marisa, “Lexi”, all of the nursing staff and assessment and discharge staff, awesome. There are 2 male staff on afternoon (I can’t remember their names were) they were awesome. I was not happy with the food. I didn’t eat much. Mike is rude and unprofessional I paid my hard earned money to be there his attitude is disgusting. I will not recommend Midwest Detox as long as he’ working there and they change their guidelines. Don’t believe what you read on their website.
I'm sure there are better staff then the ones I came in contact with
They care and are determined to keep you alive!
Midwest definitely changed my life!! I am forever grateful. The testimonies. The people. The staff/Techs!! I am made new. I LOVE YOU GUY'S!! GOD WILL KEEP HIS HAND ON YOU ALL AND BLESS YOU TREMENDOUSLY
I had a horrible experience. I decided to leave early because I was tired of taking their zombifying cocktail of sedatives. I had a ride arranged, but the facility lied to my parents and said I was still there, despite… the fact that I was out of the street in the rain. I couldn't contact anyone due to the "rule" that you can't have your essentials (wallet, phone, keys) back for 72 hours. The staff views the patients as less than human and take joy in putting patients out on the streets without any means of contacting help. I will continue to pray that the staff gains an ounce of sympathy for the patients. No one deserves to be treated as less than human. I'm not sure if other detox centers are any better, but it's worth considering going anywhere else.
The detox facility was pretty good, but the "residential" unit after was absolutely terrible. I would look elsewhere if you are serious about your recovery. A couple of the staff members are great, but it is painfully… obvious the facility is only after insurance money. Hamburger buns and peanut butter for breakfast. You can download a packet from the Hazelden center and read it yourself, rather than pay thousands to have someone read it for you. I hope the best of luck in recovery to everyone!
Do not attend this program if you have any chronic illness. There residential facility lacks the medical staff and knowledge to accommodate to your needs. The first two weeks there wasn't even a nurse on site during the… times I needed to take insulin. The medical provider Jocelyn is a pompous women with no compassion for the clients. Nursing staff is rude and hate their jobs. The diet is horrendous. I was throwing up meals for a few weeks and when I asked to go to the hospital the director Ed said if I wanted to go I needed to ama. Terrible experience.
The previous reviews you see of personal items being stolen from clients is 100 percent true. They steal things and the facility dose absolutely nothing about these situations. Very sad an unfortunate because these… people need help and alot of times what they bring is all they have left even if it's not these are supposed to be trusted people they say they put your things in a safe storage and they just disappear with no answers given.
Please do not visit Midwest. I promise you’ll regret it. I recently had 1200$ cash stolen from me and they did absolutely NOTHING to help. No searching people that left no looking for it at all honestly. I kind of have… a feeling it was a staff member who took it. Only one person knew I had money and he was staff that checked me in.
Loved it! Just graduated the program last Friday. Staff was great and will never forget them. 46 days sober and many more to come. Thank you MW for everything...
It was not easy to admit I needed help. It was also not easy to commit to a 30 day program. And that's where the staff at Midwest and Ohio detox residential program where able to to put me at ease. The compassion and… empathy made my stay possible and actually enjoyable. If it wasn't for the client specialist Eric trimm and the head bht Cody Paul. I would not have been able to stay. The conversations and genuine care they had with and for me helped me make the right decision and to complete that and move on to long term treatment and sober living housing.
