About Forrest Behavioral Health – Bedford
Forrest Behavioral Health operates from 4 Preston Court in Bedford, close enough to Hanscom AFB and Lexington to serve both. Anyone within about 6 miles can reach it without a major journey, which takes in Lexington, Burlington, Pinehurst and Woburn. Bedford sits in Middlesex County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Medication-assisted treatment is part of the offer, the approach with the strongest evidence for opioid dependence. Co-occurring conditions are handled concurrently rather than one after the other. Sessions can be held remotely where travel is difficult. Trauma-focused work forms part of the approach. Great staff, great program, great community—I highly recommend Forrest for those struggling with mental health.
Everyone here is amazing and they changed my life!
Very professional and friendly, Dr. Isabella made me feel very comfortable and helped resolve my health problems.
Forest truly helped me learn about myself and recover from a traumatic event. This place gave me somewhere to feel part of something again and truly grateful for there support throughout my journey.
I’ve had such a positive experience with Forrest Behavioral Health! Everyone has been kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. I’ve always felt heard, respected, and supported, and the care plan felt personally tailored… instead of a generic program. You can truly tell they care about the people they work with from intake to finish. I’m so grateful I found them and would absolutely recommend Forrest Behavioral Health to anyone looking for compassionate, supportive care!
This has been one of the journeys that I have enjoyed so much. The best part is that this journey has not always been easy, but the people around me helped make it work. Zack especially has been very helpful because he… never gave up on me. Because of his support, I was able to get the help I needed, and I am very grateful for that. I am also very thankful for Rebecca, Madison, and Andrew because they have all been very helpful throughout my journey as well. They made me feel supported and helped me along the way. Once again, I am very grateful and happy that I had the opportunity to be part of Forrest Behavioral Health Center. I truly appreciate all of the support and help I received during my journey.
Jose has been my therapist for the past seven or eight years, and I have nothing but praise for the man. When I lost someone very close to me, I was having a tough time navigating my emotions alone. Jose was kind, warm,… and a great listener. After a while, it didn’t even feel like therapy, it was and is like talking with a close friend that I’ve known for years. If you’re in pain, stop wasting your time and give Jose a shot!
Forrest has forever changed the projection of my life. I attended treatment here for 10 months. Every single staff member is dedicated to their patients wellbeing and success in recovery. I’ve been in therapy and other… treatment programs in the past, including a different PHP program where every patient lasted 3 weeks before being sent on their way. The reason I attended Forrest for as long as I did was because I needed to. I needed the intensive routine, care, and combination of individualized support and immersion in a group setting with others also receiving help. Every therapist has their own approach. The diversity of modalities and lessons helped me see my recovery in both big picture and manageable every day wins. Leaving Forrest was bittersweet but I feel confident I can return to the workforce and real life a much healthier version of myself. As long as you’re willing to show up, get vulnerable, and do the work, they’re willing to help you in truly any and every way. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Forrest 🌲🤍
The staff here are always supportive, attentive, and genuinely ready to help. The owners are exceptional and truly take the time to make sure each client is receiving the appropriate level of care, even offering other… treatment options if their program isn’t the right fit. They also go above and beyond by providing lunch and offering Lyft rides to help clients get to treatment. It really shows how much they care about each client individually. I would recommend this place over and over again!
For those that are struggling or are having a “set back” ; my son taught me part of sobriety are set backs, you can’t do it alone. Reach out to Nick; one of the co-owners of Forest Behavioral Health in Bedford MA. He’s… walked that walk and his staff and the facility are top notch! They don’t counsel for the glory and if they get through to one person and that person recovers, can’t put a price on that. It becomes a family issue when one family member struggles and Nick and staff are available to meet with the families to try and help as much as possible. After that it’s prayers. One phone call can help someone.
During my brief time many of the staff were using substances during breaks, one employee walked around with a dab pen in her hand all the time. When I decided to discharge and attend a different program that I believed… would much better suit my needs (it did), the owner called me and tried to convince me not to in a very condescending manner. He asked where I was going and made some things up to make the other place look bad. Very unserious environment
To put it simply: thank God for Forrest. When I arrived at Forrest, it was about two weeks after I woke up in the ICU on life support. Graphic? Yep. But real. I left my first year of college with a pretty unhealthy… relationship with alcohol and binge drinking, which quickly snowballed into me becoming really good at making horrible life choices. Did I feel “ready” to heal or to get better? Absolutely not. Honestly, I would’ve preferred if everyone had just stopped asking me how I was feeling. (Spoiler alert: not great.) And because apparently self-sabotage was a full-time hobby, I made plenty of decisions during the beginning of my time at Forrest that set me back instead of moving me forward. I kept trying to convince myself I was the exception to every piece of advice they gave me. Turns out… I wasn’t that special. But the staff, never bought into my nonsense. They wanted me to get better, even on the days I had absolutely zero interest in getting better myself. They called me out, challenged me, and handed out reality checks like Oprah handing out cars. I’ll be honest, I hated some of those conversations in the moment. I rolled my eyes. I argued. I was convinced they just didn’t get it. (but turns out they did.) Looking back now, every uncomfortable conversation, every boundary they held, and every time they refused to let me settle for surviving instead of living is a huge part of why I’m here today able to move back across the country for my second year of college. Healing wasn’t some magical overnight transformation. It was messy, frustrating, and at times felt like taking one step forward and two steps back. But somewhere along the way, Forrest helped me realize that maybe, just maybe, life was worth sticking around for. And for that, I’ll be forever grateful. I highly recommend forrest to anyone struggling with their mental health, sobriety, and/or daily living.
Great experience! Highly recomended. The staff is amazing. Thank you so much A.G.!
I had a very positive experience with this program. The group facilitators were supportive, created an environment where I always felt respected, and shared practical tools that I know will continue to help me. I also… want to thank Will for all of his help throughout the process. He was always responsive, kind, and made everything much easier to navigate from start to finish. I recommend this program to anyone looking for professional, compassionate support. I'm grateful for everything I learned and appreciate everyone who helped make this a positive experience.
I don’t know what to say. The place and the people are tremendous. I’m leaving as a completely different man today than the man I was when I first walked in. I’m very grateful for everyone’s hard work and support.
My experience with Forest Behavior has truly been one of the best decisions of my life. From the very beginning, they created a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where I felt comfortable working through both… my mental health and addiction. The staff genuinely cared about my well-being and gave me the tools, encouragement, and support I needed to grow and heal. They treated me with kindness, respect, and understanding every step of the way. I am incredibly grateful for everything Forest Behavior has done for me. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel safe, supported, and empowered to make positive changes, I highly recommend Forest Behavior. They have made a lasting impact on my life, and I’ll always be thankful for the care I received.
Forrest Behavioral Health was a life saver for me. I was tentative at first, but the group facilitators and therapists made it a safe space to open up and connect with others who are struggling with mental health and/or… addiction. The staff are friendly and empathetic, yet challenge you to challenge yourself. I am proud to be an alumni and consider my time at Forrest to be a truly worthwhile investment in myself.
My husband Tom, just completed the program and has had great success. He said the staff, therapist and all were very helpful and supportive.
Caring and transformative, highly recommend.
Staff is kind and helpful, honest work. Was able to get treatment while I was there. They have a special place in my heart. I encourage anyone who needs some support to try out Forrest.
Called on a Sunday to get information for someone and was simply amazed at the level of care and concern from a staff member Nick. After discovering the insurance would not work there he still went above and beyond to… provide any assistance he could to help the situation! Just don't get that type of service much anymore so can only imagine the extent they go to with their patients there.
Very supportive staff and a well-run program!
My life had spiraled and I felt pretty hopeless when I started. I was struggling with both mental health and alcohol addiction. I came to Forrest a shell of myself and left a completely changed person. Their guidance… put me on a path that was a better quality of life than I honestly ever had. I owe everything to Forrest, highly recommend them!
Great facility and staff and would recommend to my own family
My partner and I have been seeing him for couples therapy during a really difficult time in our relationship. He does a great job creating space for both people to talk without just taking sides or blaming one person.… The sessions aren’t always easy, but they’ve helped me better understand myself, my partner, and the patterns we get stuck in. I appreciate that he asks real questions and helps move the conversation forward. I’d recommend him to couples who are trying to work through that really hard stuff!
