Edinburg Center – Bedford

The Edinburg Center is like the Hotel California. "We are programmed to receive You can check out any time you like But you can never leave". Very few clients if any move on from their services to independent living.… The clients are "cash cows". To be fair the entire mental health system is like this in Massachusetts. Without "clients" there would be no mental health system.

Not the best place for mental health issues. They seem to have very little training on the reality of bipolar disorder and mania, which scares them a lot. Honestly, I don’t feel like a patient..I feel more like a joke… to them. It’s so unprofessional how they communicate with us. I’m a person who has feelings.

The staff and administration are afraid of people with mental illness. Their fears are based on stereotypes and ignorance. If possible I would seek help from another mental health provider in Massachusetts.

So far I have been doing 1 hour therapy sessions once a week for two years with them. The therapy is life changing and the techniques used by the therapist are very unique. Edinburgh, I hope you are reading this, I… really want to thank you

They say that they want to help people with disability issues but they can't provide enough service. Can't follow up with their request is to clients needs not enough money to serve the developmental services.
