About Connection Center for Behavioral – Norwich

Connection Center for Behavioral is located at 67 Church Street in Norwich, within a few minutes of Baltic and Oxoboxo River. Within around 7 miles that includes Baltic, Oxoboxo River, Mashantucket and Gales Ferry. Norwich sits in New London County, and the county’s own provision is limited enough that this site draws from a wide area.

Connection Center for Behavioral delivers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Approved medication runs alongside counseling, which is what medication-assisted treatment means in practice. Substance use and mental health are treated together rather than in sequence. The facility works with veterans and military families. SAMHSA holds the federal registration; the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services the state license.

Connection Center for Behavioral – Norwich Detox and Rehab Services

Connection Center for Behavioral – Norwich offers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Approved medication is paired with counseling and regular review. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

Very expensive. Negotiated rate is higher than the state average.

This place IS a money grab. Had my initial meeting with a extremely nice professional person. The meeting seem to be productive and she stated that she did not think I needed any services but still said I was mandated… to have the counseling sessions which is completely different from what I was told along with my brother by the state's attorney. I think the connection are the one telling me I need counseling sessions as a way to generate income for themselves. I'm being drug tested just to embarrass me, a person who has never used ANY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES EVER. Just incredible, this whole farce of a system is and now the connection is just piling on the injustice I'm experiencing in Connecticut. Leaving this state will be a welcoming change for me and my life. 👎is the grade for them.

This place is a joke.. the group I attended I have not learned anything but sure 3 people just speak for the hold he and the therapists don't ask them to be quite and like that the hr goes and is like I'm just in a 3rd… grade classroom. No help in this place.

The connection has helped me a lot. I've been seeing a counselor there for quite a while now and all the staff have been excellent and very helpful. The man at the reception desk is very helpful and always welcoming. He… makes good coffee as well. My needs there are not for legal reasons but for personal reasons. Whether you have legal requirements to be there or for personal reasons it is the place to get the help one needs. Thanks to everyone at the Connection.

This place is a money grab for the court system. Nothing more. I was evaluated for an hour. The counselor said she saw no reason for me to go to anger management. Called her supervisor I have yet to meet, she said I had… to because of a police report . I am not guilty of a thing. Had to do this to please the court to get a Nolly. Now I have to go to counseling for months. They need the money. Garbage. There’s no help here. How do you help somebody that doesn’t need any help? The lady that said I need to go isn’t even around to talk to Why did I waste an hour of work time just to be told this? This place is NOT TO HELP FOLKS it’s there for the money score from court. Nothing more Unbelievable This is our system Again. I have not been convicted on this. I haven’t spoke to a judge and it’s all on a faulty police report that even THEY said had a discrepancy in it STAY AWAY

This place is a joke. Went from televisits back to in person and didn't tell me so I missed an appointment, scheduled a new appointment and drove over an hour. I was 10 minutes late and my appointment apparently went to… someone else and was then told I need a new appointment that I could just do over the phone.... um hello if that was the case why did I just lose my past 2 appointments. Called at my scheduled appointment time and was told the therapist would call me back, never heard a word. That was 5 days ago. I have been out of meds for 5 days, they said the aprn can't fill them till I talk to the therapist who I can't get ahold of. I was just told by the receptionist that I should go somewhere else if I can get an appointment. Excuse me what?? I have been going to you guys for like 5 years. Closing the middletown office was a huge mistake, seems like all the people that were at middletown were the only ones that actually cared for there patients. Norwich is a complete waste of time with people who don't even care that you are out of meds some of which should NOT be stopped cold. Dont waste your time with this place unless you want to end up out of meds having a panic attack freaking out trying to find a place that actually cares about their patients.

Absolutely terrible. I have met decent people there but the place is wrought with bad policy. I’ve never had so many issues ever with a prescriber. They will flat out deny you medication & tell you to go to the… emergency room for a refill until they figure something out. It’s so asinine. The state of CT REALLY needs to fully investigate their practices & procedures. Certain mental disorders without proper medication can be potentially dangerous for people, themselves & the public. The Connection doesn’t take mental health seriously enough to be in business.
