About New Hope Health Services – Washington

New Hope Health Services operates from 2759 Martin Luther King Avenue SE in Washington. The site sits in District of Columbia County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. the District of Columbia draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at New Hope Health Services

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

I had a great experience at New Hope Health Service IN DC on benning rd. The receptionist, Tasia, was absolutely amazing! She’s the first person you see when you walk in, and she made me feel welcome right away with her… friendly attitude and professionalism. The entire staff seemed helpful, kind, and genuinely cared about the people they were assisting. The office was very clean, organized, and had a pleasant atmosphere. It was truly a pleasure doing business with them, and I would definitely recommend New Hope Health Service Station to anyone looking for excellent customer service.

Be cautious of any establishment that only takes Medicaid.

I haven’t talk to my therapist in over a year and they’re still charging my insurance. It’s easy for you to get in but it hard to get in contact with people when you need documentation. I don’t not recommend

I really don't understand why the Government allows such agencies as these to exist. It may be that they don't want to take responsibility for all the lost souls in need. So they throw these agencies at us that aren't… fit to treat a dog. I'm sure some dog therapist and care takers are better. Trash, complete trash.

This agency is one if the worst. They treat people like numbers instead of people. The housing liaison is incompetent and negligent in her job. After months of waiting, she tells me I need a relocation form. She should… have known that. In a meeting with the supervisor I told them I had been through the process before. They are busy trying to tell me about my certificate that they don't have any knowledge of. This is why I choose to advocate. You can't fix it all with a pull. I will not be silent. It's time for Dc to hold agencies accountable. This is not the first bad experience with them. Choose your provider wisely.
