This place has played a crucial role in helping me get my life back. Unlike other shady treatment centers in this industry, this organization is compromised of staff and directors that truly care about their clients and… have their best interests at heart. They can't do the work for you but if you're sick and tired of being sick and tired, they've cultivated a positive, safe space revolving around the 12 step program that allows people to take agency and responsibility in their own sober journeys. I'm an extremely grateful to them for that and will treasure the life long connections I've made through this place to help me stay on track in my own sobriety!

I’m so grateful my daughter found South Coast Counseling. I wasn’t in the day-to-day of her treatment, but I could see the difference it made — she was treated with real care and respect, not just processed through a… program. She’s doing so well now. As a mother, that’s all I could ask for.

From the very first phone call I made and I spoke with the admissions representative. I felt a sense of care and understanding and compassion that I had never felt before and it didn’t stop with just admissions From… detox to residential into the IOP programming have felt welcomed and developed a family environment in which I have thrived and achieved, sobriety and understanding of The core reasons to help me understand my addiction so that I can overcome it. I’m in the process of understanding myself so that I can identify and fix the reasons for my addictions. I truly love my new family.

Really enjoyed getting my treatment at South Coast Counseling. They had a great staff and got me on a good path to recovery. Taking the first step in getting the help I needed was difficult but I’m glad and grateful… that I went to a good place to get me started on my path to sobriety. Also, I’d like to thank my case manager Michelle and others there (Jeremy, Jared, Stephanie, Skyler and everyone else) for thier help and support. I also made some good friends there as well.

My experience with SCC began the moment I was picked up from the airport. Upon arrival to the facility, it was nothing but kindness, respect, and genuine care for me and my journey while in their care. I made… arrangements to extend my stay with them to 90 days simply because i felt like i was growing and gaining so much from them and their program. The staff goes above and beyond for each and every client. Although I extended my stay to 90 days, I had to leave at just over 60 days due to a call that had come for me to tell me that my husband had passed away. I owe my life and my sobriety to the SCC Treatment center and their entire team. I made it through my husband’s passing and months after still sober! I’m a few weeks away from getting my 6 month coin! Thank you SCC for giving me my life back! I could never repay or say it enough but, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!

Our family had an outstanding experience with SCC. My daughter has been to rehab 3 other times and this is the first one that really identified and addressed her underlying issues. The staff, in particular the counselor… Michelle, did an exceptional job. I highly recommend them!

You’re reading this for a reason! Whatever that reason is, my hope is that when you finish you will seek help today, whether for yourself or someone you care for. If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve read a few… other reviews for treatment centers. At this point, you’re almost certainly tired of reading, “This place saved my life”, over and over and over. The phrase starts to lose gravity. The truth for me, however, is that SCC did not save my life. That would be too simple an explanation of what SCC did for me. SCC didn’t sanded my life, they armed me with the necessary weaponry to walk into battle, to save my own life, and to continue living with honesty, integrity, and self-worth. SCC has something special. Whether you know it or not, you want it too, trust me. Some of the luxuries of private treatment are there, but that’s not it. What’s special at SCC is the authentic warmth, care, and concern of all the staff. Most of them are in recovery themselves, and ALL of them have been affected by addiction in some way or another and have chosen a path of helping others. This is reflected in the general attitude of the clients, and I can say that when i was there, I felt truly safe. I felt genuinely cared for, and I did not feel like a number or a dollar sign. That’s a huge deal! Just as huge a deal, is the clinical staff’s ability and knowledge, as well as their skill in delivery of information in a way that everyone can understand. The groups were super engaging and current. SCC is one of the few places that really understands the nature of group therapy, and does not execute it like a class or a lecture. Groups at SCC are interactive and interesting and there’s a healthy lean towards peer support and feedback. Another thing that’s different about SCC, is that they accept private insurance, but they are also a nonprofit so they accept some different types of health insurance you might not expect, and sometimes they do things like scholarships for people in need of treatment that might not have the necessary resources. For example, when I was seeking treatment I had a difficult time finding a good treatment center that would take my health insurance because it was through Covered California. SCC was one of the few places that accepted my Blue Shield of CA PPO, and I know they also accepted my friends Blue Shield HMO too, which is amazing! The best thing I could suggest is if you’re in need of help, no matter what insurance you have, just call SCC and ask! The admissions women are outstanding human beings, and whether or not SCC is able to help you, they will help you find a place that’s right for you! That’s pretty incredible if you ask me. Here’s the point… if you want to go to treatment and sit around and wait for them to save your life, don’t call SCC, but if you’re looking for a great group of people that care about what they do, if you’re thinking you might need a little help, and you’re willing to do a little work, SCC is your spot! The rewards you experience will be indescribable, I promise you that.

This place really helped me get on my feet. All the staff were in my corner especially the higher ups like Katie, Joe, Bret, and David. Also the Techs really spent the extra time checking in daily and listening if I was… struggling. Shout out to Jarrod, Destiny, Skylar, Jeremey, and Bo. Clinical and Therapy facilitated informative groups and met you for personal sessions. I’m grateful for the medical staff as well. We had fun outings and great food. The clients came together and supported each other. They have treated me like family here when I felt abandoned and lost. Since discharge I regularly Attend their Alumni. This place is a gem and I tell anyone that needs help to try it here.

Before I even came to SCC, I was in contact with the admissions director, Katie, and she answered all of my questions and gave me all of the information I needed as I came to the decision to seek treatment. The whole… team at SCC, from directors to group facilitators to techs, cares about the well-being of each client and makes decisions on an individualized basis for the best outcome possible. I spent 48 days in residential care before graduating to sober living and outpatient treatment, and I feel like I have been given a chance to change my life for the better and finally stand on my own two feet again. The team at SCC continues to be a lifeline for me and I cannot thank them enough for the opportunities I've had and continue to have. I'm 95 days sober and my mental health is better than it has been in years and I know I would not have been able to make it this far without SCC.

I am grateful to South Coast Counseling for being so welcoming and allowing me to go through the process at my own pace. I was certain that I would never find myself back in treatment none the less any 12 step rooms.… After a few days of the fog starting to clear, I realized I was exactly where I needed to be. SCC is not just a place to help you get clean and sober, but a place that makes you feel like you are a part of the family and continues to offer so much support to their alumni.
