Adolescent Substance Abuse Program presents as a Glendale property. What is visible is a working clinical setting rather than a residential one, with rooms for individual and group sessions.

The surrounding landscape is the wide Sonoran Desert basin, where flat streets open onto views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Downtown Glendale itself is the historic Catlin Court district, known for its antique shops. Overall a very well run program that has been lead by a strong group of psychologists and professionals. Additionally, has a very strong training experience that reflects how much the team cares about continued growth… and individualized therapy experiences. Substance use treatment can come with a lot of challenges and ASAP staff always did wonderfully handing it and teaching trainees how to be flexible! Highly recommend this program both for treatment and training

ASAP is the best! The staff here are amazing and truly care about their clients. Dr. Davis is amazing at what he does. He has helped so many families. They have a great model and teach teens many important life skills… they need to succeed. Truly a great place that’s dedicated to helping teens.

I’ve been familiar with ASAP for several years and have a great deal of respect for the program and the work they do with teenagers and their families. What has always stood out to me is their commitment to helping… teens make meaningful changes while also involving and supporting the family throughout the process. ASAP has been serving Arizona families for decades, and their experience and dedication really show. I would absolutely recommend them to a family looking for help with a teenager struggling with substance use.

We had an amazing experience with the entire staff! When all hope was lost they helped me and my family regain all hope back! We did the program the steps the group sessions and it was all worth it. My son is now… thriving looking forward to life and even moving into the next steps to volunteering and doing some counseling for other teens himself. This place gave us so much hope not only for our family but for other families that attended as well . Their amazing approach and their attention to detail with these teens is incredible the open conversations and real life consequences. This program has impacted our family in a great positive way . I highly recommend ASAP program to those families struggling with their teens and substance abuse. It’s not only the program but the staff and the parents who put in the work that makes it worth it !

From first hand experience, I have seen the great work being done here. I am baffled by the review about ethnic background issues. The staff is ethnically diverse and really only cares about helping the child in their… care. The entire program is designed to give the family honest feedback and the tools to address the challenges faced as a family. The teens get well trained staff that helps them navigate their current situation. Most importantly, the staff actually want to see them succeed.

For parents: I have seen families be completely transformed by this program. This program will help your teen with their substance abuse and will help you grow closer as a family unit. If you want to help your teen, but… are unsure of how, I highly recommend attending this program. For teens: I know that entering a program like this can be intimidating, but if you're willing to give it a shot, it can really help you. I have seen teens enter the program sure of the fact that sobriety was not an option for them and later graduate from the program determined to be sober for the rest of their lives. This can be you, if you're willing to embrace trying.

Psychology and counseling trainees, if you’re looking for a practicum, internship, or clinical training experience - I highly recommend ASAP’s training program! Drs. Walling and Davis really empowered me to bring in my… individual personality and combine that with my professional knowledge. They allowed me to become a confident clinician and were supportive of my development throughout the year. If you’re looking to be part of a comprehensive, supportive team but also respected as an individual - ASAP’s training program is stellar.

This place was ok the first night when first started. Then the next session, a Dr Tyler attended he was the rudest doctor we have ever experienced. If you come from a ethnic background BEWARE parents to be belittled.… This doctor was very unprofessional in addressing a personal matter in group setting. All the doctors are White and that was my mistake first of all to think they would address situations accordingly. My daughter has had many other therapists in the past and never had a problems. Maybe it was because she has had therapists of color and had great experiences until our insurance changed we landed here in a unfortunate circumstance. I never felt so uncomfortable talking about a delicate subject only to be belittled and ignored in a setting where things are supposed to be confidential. I have a medical background and i can tell you this place is unprofessional and demeaning. When called to address the situation with a higher up, you only get to talk to the secretary who will get with the Dr in order to address situation. In my experience for this place not to have a office manager says alot. Means you get to deal with the group and they all have each others rear. Nothing gets resolved and the turn around time to speak with the secretary was awful. I dont recommend anyone coming here period. In a world where teens are going through alot to not have the help needed is very unfortunate to find a place that judges you. Parents you will always know whats best for your child. I recommend one on one therapy. Best of luck to all!!

I am 27 now, I went here for a good year when I was around 16-17 years old. All of the dozens of in patient and out patient facilities I had tried, this is the only place that helped. They saved my life and I am so… extremely grateful looking back on that. When you make a mistake, so many are quick to either punish, or give you the same speech that never works. This place showed me the love and support I desperately needed. What I needed to feel personally. Away from friends and family. They always made me feel welcomed and loved and to appreciate everything in life. They changed my life. They made me want to do better and be better. And for them, I am so grateful. Thriving now. Never looking back. Thank you IOPSA. Thank you, so much showing what life is supposed to be. You absolutely saved my life.

When I had lost all hope, I came across the ASAP program. I felt lost and had nowhere to turn for help with my teen son. But then Dr. Davis gave us hope. This program has changed our lives. Hearing the stories of other… parents helped me navigate through my struggles with my son. I have nothing but good things to say about this group. Thank you to everyone at the ASAP program, including Kevin, John, Dr. Davis, and the entire staff. I know my son learned a lot at teen night. I highly recommend the ASAP program. I will truly miss you all.

The ASAP Program was a true God send! It was so helpful for our son & our family as a whole. My husband & I have learned so many important & valuable lessons to ensure we're being the best parents & support system to… not only our son who successfully graduated from ASAP & is in his road to recovery & God willing life long sobriety. We also feel ASAP has made us better parents in general to our two other children. We have shared nothing but great things with friends, family & co-workers and even referred a family friend & their child to ASAP due to our amazing experience. If your adolescents is struggle with substance abuse, ASAP is the right program to help them & your family!

This program saved my daughter. Not only did she fully complete this program but she loved it so much that she is now in college to get her degree to help other adolescents suffering from substance abuse. Tyler is the… best and highly recommend this program.

My experience at ASAP saved my life. This program didn't just teach me/motivate me to stay clean, it taught me how to communicate, how to love myself, education on development and how to have healthy relationships. ASAP… was the highlight of my week, it gave me something to look forward to. Dr. Davis is incredibly talented and has a true passion for helping others. He is one of a kind; you won't ever meet someone as smart, dedicated and compassionate as him. My mom calls Dr. Davis her hero and says he is our savior. Getting clean and learning how to live a sober life is impossible to do alone. The staff at ASAP provide a perfect mix of education and heart filled conversation. I never knew who I was but ASAP was the one place where I felt like I could be myself. The staff taught me who I am and who I want to be. If you and your family need help I promise you ASAP will be there and teach you things that you won't learn anywhere else. I have been sober now for over 3 years (came in at 15 and stayed sober since), and I wish I could go back just to be around that environment. I miss ASAP, it shaped me and helped plant the seed for growth. ASAP is the best program you can get and if you don't believe me...try it for yourself. (;

I could not have imagined a better out patient treatment experience than what we found at ASAP. The model of safe, supportive group discussion, education and accountability was invaluable to our family. Our son, without… the comprehensive style used, would be in an even more frightening predicament than we discovered he suffered through. It is open, honest, immediate feed-back driven, keeping all members of the family responsible for the positive outcome and continued journey into adulthood. On your last night there, you'll be wishing you could stay with them forever. It is with a grateful heart I thank the very professional staff, interns, parents and teens for the most insightful ten weeks of our lives.

It is execellent program helping teens with their addictions and helping them to reconnect with their families. They learn new healthy coping skills and communication skills. They also learn how drugs can negatively… effect their body, health, education, and their relationships.
