Community Health Resources – Enfield Detox and Rehab Services

Community Health Resources – Enfield delivers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call. Confirm what a program covers before committing to it. What suits one person will not suit another, so ask directly.

I've been going here on and off since i was 12 years old, i'm 23 now. This place truly embodies the american mental healthcare system being a product of capitalism. The psychiatrists have absolutely no regard for their… patients, they don't care to discuss any other long-term outcome other than medication, nor do they listen. It's pathetic. At this stage of my life i try to get to the root of my issues and that's not something that even crosses their minds. I've genuinely just grown out of this place and better off without it. I cannot believe I was pretty much told by my current psychiatrist that a real diagnosis wouldn't matter. But hey misdiagnosing me, giving me the wrong meds during the most pivotal developmental stage of my life, and everything else under the sun when I was a lost adolescent (when i wasn't fully aware of what was going on) was fine. it's manipulative and sick.

The office staff have the biggest attitude, expecially for working in mental health. They have you running around to check in even tho no one is ever where they are supposed to be. I got sent to all three floors with… someone telling me to check in at a different place each time. I also have a hard time walking , which made it very upsetting. So ridiculous and frustrating. Someone needs to update staff on how to talk to people. Very disappointed

This is the second time my doctor has no call no showed me. I have enough going on in my life and having to set time aside for appointments that don’t even up actually happening is causing me more stress that help if… I’m being honest.

Therapist has forgetten/canceled over half of my sons appointments. When reported to the supervisor Erin responded with an inappropriate opinion on the scheduling. When contacting their manager they have so far refused… to respond. If they got their act together could be a good place as the in person staff have been quite nice. Looking at other reviews im sure ill get the response to call them to resolve/discuss even though ive already tried the appropriate channels.

The staff is great at pathways- but the entire person in charge is a NIGHTMARE of a doctor named Brittney. She def has some kind of god complex and run the place horribly. I wouldn’t recommend going there if you’re… looking for actual medical help. Doctors are everything in recovery and she’s not in it to help people.

CHR's a great agency. They've helped me out for plenty of years. Great people there and encourage you to do the best. And you continue to do the best. They help you and encourage you to strive and go independent with… your recovery. Great people there. And great people who go there. I can't complain about the quality of services. Because where I come from originally there weren't any of these services. I'm grateful to have CHR in my life. Always wanting it to learn new things. And advocate for these services to continue. And do activism with it as well. Do whatever it takes to keep our life and quality of life going. Great job CHR. Keep up the great work you have done. And continue to do. For our communities statewide. Let us be an example for this country, the United States, and the world.

I have been a patient here for 15 years. I've done lots of groups, & a lot of therapy. This program is a joke now. New Dr.s & staff. Very poorly run & staff is no help.

I really like the doctors but it’s impossible to have my prescriptions filled on time. This is probably the four or fifth consecutive time I’ve had to ask my pharmacy to give me a couple doses just so I don’t end up… with brain zaps. If it wasn’t for Helen the rating would 100% be a 1.

Staff at 151 hazard ave parking were patients park is ridiculous. Why do patients have to walk sofar in all types of weather. Staff parking should be not there. I've witnessed staff taking up spots so that the physical… therapy patient next door had to walk a long distance because the self entitled staff have easier walk to their doorway.

My prescriber is very concerned with how I'm doing mentally and physically she always has some suggestions and she listens to me and takes an account for what I'm feeling and that's what makes a good mental health… worker Thank you sincerely Christopher Cooksey

So 2 months ago I called for an appointment and they told me that it was going to be a online appointment face to face. Next two days ago I called the office and said I am out of a medication today and I need to talk to… the doctor because the medication they had me on isn't working and I need to get a higher dose in the nurse said until you see the doctor next Friday will call in your prescription at the same dose and when you see your next Friday we'll talk about it. So the next day comes I go to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription it's not there the office and I tell her listen I'm at the pharmacy you never calling my prescription I've been out of it now for 2 days and she said well I'll leave the doctor a note I'm like well can't they just call it in I drove 25 minutes to come here I haven't slept since yesterday morning no we can't do that call it in later today so at 5:00 this afternoon I call the pharmacy to see if my prescription was called in and it was and it wasn't so now I'm going on 3 days without my prescription it's the weekend and I called the 24 hour number and there isn't no 24 hour number it says at the beginning we are here for you not so much so it said if you have a healthcare crisis press one when I press one it hung up on me how is that supposed to help a person that has psychiatric problems. So I go online and I got another number and it says 24 hour service nobody answers that number either so now I am totally screwed until Monday and it's only Friday Night by Monday I will be out of my prescription for 5 days that's a real great way to run a psychiatric health care service for people with bipolar and other issues what am I supposed to dial 911 so I can get a prescription cuz that's the only freaking choice that they give me

Horrible healthcare. I’ve been misdiagnosed and put on the wrong medication for years thanks to this place. I’ve had years of health issues due to the psychiatrist’s incompetence. They don’t listen, and the office is… prone to screwing up frequently. I now get calls from CHR multiple times a week for someone who isn’t me. They are leaving me voicemails about a current client. I’ve tried calling and telling them they have the wrong number, but they still call me a few times a week to tell me about a complete stranger’s appointments

UPDATE REVIEW 6/12/23 If you become a patient and you receive Terri as a psychiatrist, run. Run and find a new one. Terri is convinved she knows more about her patients health than her own patients. My partner has been… struggling with A.D.D and wanted to retry focalin (was prescribed in high school so its on record). First Terri reduced my partners anti anxiety meds, but now she's reducing my partners ANTI DEPRESSANTS. Its been a hellish mental health spiral and we have heavily considered malpractice. So if you have a good attorney, maybe have Terri and win some money! UPDATE: (12/31/19) Took my gf to meet her new aprn and discuss changing her antidepressants since they no longer work. She was told it was just seasonal depression and she didn't need new meds, just therapy. Im sorry, but that is F-ING. DISGUSTING. AND. UNPROFESSIONAL. Seriously, go elsewhere, they don't care about people. This institute lacks professionalism and care. My girlfriend has been in and out of doctors offices requesting medical release forms and they took 3 days (tuesday, feb 12, 2019 to Thursday February 14th, pending as of this review) to process. Not to mention their automated phone calls often give the wrong date and time. If you plan on leaving for a new place such as echn, i pray for you, because something so simple will become a hassle. Make sure you have someone supportive to be with you the whole time, because chr is not the place for such
