Mountain Comprehensive Care Center – Winchester Reviews
Choosing a treatment program is easier with accounts from patients who have already been through the door. Reviews of Mountain Comprehensive Care Center in Winchester are gathered here for that reason.
Look for detail on how the first week went, how staff communicated and what support followed treatment.
The on staff primary care doctor who is already only available for limited days and times is incredibly rude, ableist, and discriminatory towards patinents if they miss appointments for reasons out of their control.… Will blame them for stuff they cannot help, will not sign accomidation paperwork or anything similar. He should not be working in the healthcare field, especially somewhere that is income based.
I feel like I've made some really important strides with my mental health here at Mountain Comp, and I honestly can't express my gratitude enough. Over the past couple of years as a patient, there have been a few minor… hiccups, but looking back, they were the kinds of human mistakes that could realistically happen at any office. For example, I was once referred to by the wrong name, and more recently I was mistakenly told that I had missed an appointment when I had actually attended earlier that day. What matters most to me is how these situations were handled. Both times, I was able to talk openly with the front staff and get the issue addressed. I've never felt like I couldn't approach them when I had a concern, and being able to communicate about problems without feeling dismissed means a lot to me. My counselor consistently makes me feel heard, and my prescriber takes careful notes, asks how I'm doing, and pays attention to my concerns. With their support, I've been able to make meaningful progress with my mental health while continuing to manage work and everyday life. I also really appreciate knowing that additional help is available during a mental health crisis, including access to 24-hour services and assistance getting connected with an available counselor by phone. They offer affordable rates as well as a sliding-scale fee for eligible households. Knowing that counseling could remain affordable even if my employment or insurance situation changed gives me a lot of peace of mind. If you're local to Winchester and looking for help understanding or improving your mental health, I would genuinely recommend reaching out to this office and learning what services they can offer you.
I feel like this place has opened new doors for me and they seem to actually care about helping me manage my mental health. The small setting is nice and the waiting area is usually quiet which is a plus.
Absolute joke. I go in make an appointment on May 27th, after almost 30 minutes of speaking with the front desk I get an appointment for June 4th. I have the appointment card in my wallet!! Within a 24 hours on May 28th… i get a phone call stating that they've overbooked they will get me in next week and give me a call with a date and time. 7 Days Go by I hear nothing so I can only leave a message with name and all pertinent information. MORE CRICKETS!! NOTHING!! So I called back at the end of the day after spending 5 more minutes on hold they tell me they don't have any clue who I am and have no appointment for me or anything scheduled. How do you call me the following day if you don't have my number? Did you lose it in 6 days? Where's your account hacked and you lost information? Then she proceeds to tell me she'll be glad to make an appointment. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD CONTINUE AND MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT IF THEY CAN'T EVEN KEEP TRACK OF YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER AND A PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT? I'm sure they'll be some snappy little reply from a secretary or something here however it's sad that those that are responsible for our medical Care have no concern. No apology no nothing. How do you make an appointment, get an appointment card, get a phone call back the next day but 7 days later they have no idea who you even are 🤣 And 30 minutes in person making the appointment and making sure you had all the information you needed. I even expressed how important it was that I set up care because of a hernia. THAT'S A PLUS TREATMENT THERE FOLKS THEY REMIND ME OF A LITTLE COMPANY THAT USED TO DO THE SAME THING THEY DO CALLED PATHWAYS 🤔 EXCEPT AT LEAST PATHWAYS REMEMBERS WHO YOU ARE LESS THAN A WEEK LATER.
Don't expect to keep a good therapist. They dip after about a year due to competitive pay. They help just enough to keep you employed. Dont expect more. The med management however is the best i ever had, shes super… helpful and kind. She gets 5 stars and the only reason for the 3 i give the facility. Update* Yeah im revoking the personal 5 and facility 3 due to ablist attendance expectations and giving me the option of inferior med management or nothing. A lot of care and trust down the drain yet I depend on them, story of my life.
They are amazing there helpful staff and everything
For as of now the therapist doesn't go see my nephew. When call they keep saying she'll call me back but never does. I will change this when they start taking this seriously 😒 might have to change compcare. Getting a… bad vibe already.
Comfortable environment and wonderful experience. Truly - healing depends on one's ability to commit to oneself. I've found the environment here to be a great medium for success in that. Over the last few years coming… here I've made a lot of progress improving my inner life. Something that's priceless.
I went here when I was struggling with an eating disorder. The therapists I saw were quite nice to me and helped me build up the courage to tell my mother about my eating disorder. They also helped me manage my symptoms… of depression and the emotional damage after my great uncle passed. Thank you.
Phenomenal services and people. Only complaint is staff comes and goes sometimes, but they're extremely accepting and I've gotten so much better thanks to them.
I had an appointment for 1 o'clock. I got there at 12:30 and filled out paperwork. Sat there until 2 o'clock and left.
I have two nuro divergent children who are currently getting med management and therapy through mountain comp. The reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is due to the fact that one of the therapists working with my… youngest son violated HIPPA laws by going behind my back to get his med doctor to giving him more of his medication than prescribed, then had the audacity when I set up a meeting with her and her supervisor about my concerns called me toxic and didn't feel comfortable working with my son anymore. This therapist still works there after violating HIPPA regarding my youngest. I was going to find another place for my children to receive their services, but my children like it there. So out of respect for what my children want, that is the only reason we are still receiving services with mountain comp. But I would really rethink a place like this if they overlook violating HIPPA laws. Kind of a red flag. Just my opinion
I am a 15 year old trans male actively getting therapy from this place (and have been for maybe a year or two now). The therapists are really nice and they do keep their word of not saying a thing to your parents unless… its about s/h or suicide. However, there'll be times where I won't see my therapist for weeks without much explanation. As for whatever psycho doctor I spoke to, to be prescribed for melatonin and anti-depressants or whatever they're called, I never connected with her like I have with any of my previous (and current) therapists. Also, shout out to all my therapists for being there for me, thank you so much.
Tried this facility several times because my private insurance was super expensive, and they get grant money for seeing income based clients. Didnt see a Dr for over a month. Just put me in a group with ppl from drug… court (no disrespect to them) due to my history of alcoholism. but it felt much more like a business than a place of recovery. They don't treat mental health, just blanket everyone an addict, and push a diluted version of the 12th step program. They prescribed me antidepressants that were unavailable for weeks, and my medication specialist dropped me my 2nd week WITHOUT EVEN DRUG SCREENING ME. Then cut off my sleep meds that were actually working. Then recommended i admit myself into a facility... Again, without even drug screening me because they didnt have a male on staff to take a urine sample.
Idk
