About Rimrock – Billings
Rimrock operates from 1231 North 29th Street in Billings. The site sits in Yellowstone County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Laurel and Lockwood. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.
Hospital inpatient care, detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Detox and Rehab Services at Rimrock
Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Someone starting in detox can move into residential care without changing provider or repeating an intake. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Residential here is short-term, which makes what follows discharge the more important question. Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers.

Rimrock Address, Location and Contact Information
The address is 1231 North 29th Street, Billings, MT 59101, in Yellowstone County. The catchment reaches Laurel and Lockwood. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.
Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Rimrock Reviews and Ratings
Treated at Rimrock, or close to a patient who was? Your review can tell future patients what a brochure cannot: how the program felt from the inside.
Rimrock is a secure safe place that provides help for people in need in the community and a comfortable safe atmosphere I highly recommend anyone who's in need of direction and community assets come by and check this… place out
We tried to get someone admitted, they knew she was coming, they picked her up from the hospital transported her to the facility, and from there everything feel apart, they were rude, didn't have paperwork in order,… didn't have insurance verified said they didn't know if insurance would cover treatment because she is out of state and in severe alcohol withdrawal, they said they wouldn't know until Monday which is too late after what we have been through for the last 4 days trying to get her to accept this is what she needs or she will die. I do not recommend this place, felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome, unprofessional. We took her home and we will figure it out, I wouldn't feel comfortable taking her back there..
Word
I called. Just ask a simple question and the lady that I talked to made me feel as if I wasn't welcome to call. When I asked her questions she made me feel entitled and kind of.. in a lack of better words stupid.… Personally, I just called on behalf of somebody else and needed some information and I definitely will not recommend whoever I talk to. Maybe there needs to be a meeting about how to professionally, take a call and the tone of your voice when you are on the phone. It makes a huge huge difference, especially if someone were to be calling because they needed help. And as somebody that doesn't struggle with that, and them having me feel as small as they could, I can't imagine how they treat you guys in there.
Great staff, lots of knowledge and teaching to help me get my life under control. Going here was the best thing I have done on 30+ years. My life is so much better. It was challenging and intense, but the outcome was so… worth it. God bless thia place and the staff!
It was like walking into a different place. They understand they were nice, polite. They went out of the way to make sure they could help you in any way they could and the ones they have there. They are helping in every… way they can. It's clean. It's it's got God's help. God has got his armor around that place and the people that work there and the people that go there they care about all them to go there and each other. It's like one big happy family a happy and understanding and hard times and good times. It's all of that and they're there for each other and everywhere I have seen other than this place. It's not like that. It's like you're a number. Okay, it's time for this. It's time for yourself. You know it is just it's very different and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure they get support. They get donations and help whatever they need because they're actually getting people help whether they're on the street or where they come there and they have a hump and that's that's important. It doesn't matter what lifestyle you come from. They're there to help these people and the ones I talk to the owner, the counselors, the other people, all of them. They have certain things that they have to do and it's like a well-ois machine. It's just you know I can't stand up about them and when I go to Washington I'm going to see what I can do there because they really need help and every state needs to have one. They need to have a facility like that because these people actually care. And like I said it's a family and I couldn't ask for anything better for my child. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I really couldn't have and I appreciate them and I pray for them every day and I hope whoever reads this y'all will too. You can call and you can call him. You can look at the place and it is what it says it is and the people they remind you of the people when the area the era that I lived in. They're respectful. They're respectful to you themselves. The coworkers, the families. It's just amazing. It is just really amazing. Thank you all for it
This place is a scam. There was no treatment for my former son in law's addiction to alcohol. He walked in and controlled his own schedule, hit on his counselor, used his counselor's sympathy to allow him to verbally… attack and abuse my daughter on a video call without bothering to tell her he would be on the call ahead of time. He never even detoxed. But detox was part of the price. He had full access to the outside world at all times, but his cell phone use was supposedly limited. What a waste of his daddy's inheritance. Within 1 day after release he was drinking, and of course driving.
Rimrock is a complete negligent care program! They took my family member, that I have guardianship over, to the ER without even notifying me. Let him discharge himself confused and hallucinating wandering the streets… until they found him and took him back to the ER. Then they had to audacity to lie to me and say they’re tried to call but no one answer. Not one missed call! Not one voicemail! They never once tried to call me and then lied about it to cover their ass. Absolutely 100% not okay
Loved it
Rimrock Foundation is very DYSFUNCTIONAL there's no communication within there center. I missed important appointments n legal appointments do to lack of communication. Was even sent out of there with a social security… card that didn't belong to me. My HIPPA was violated as welI if you are looking for a healthy place for recovery this isn't it !!!
Rimrock qualified my partner for treatment three weeks ago. He has called every day in hopes of getting a bed. A week ago, they said they would give him a bed date. Unfortunately, nobody will call him back. How is a… person supposed to access treatment when Rimrock doesn't even call potential patients back?
Their 2023 tax return has 8 individuals making six figure salaries, but if you call for help no one answers the phone or returns your call the same day. There is a problem here.
I cannot say enough how fabulous the team working one evening were when I showed up with my son. He was in seriously rough shape very, didn't make it past the front door. Emt was called to get him to the hospital. The… staff were truly amazing from how they treated my son in kindness, communicating with firm but soft tones. Tim went above and beyond to personally connect with my son as much as he could under the circumstances. He truly cared for his well-being. Tim negotiated for my son to be able to have a cigarette and calm down before he would let EMT help him. My son will be admitting it soon. If this is the level of care I can expect, I am deeply hopeful that my son will find his reason to get the help he needs. Thank you, Team. thank you, Tim. Amazing experience! I have just completed family week, visiting a family member and learning so much. I can not say enough great things about the staff or the program. We had a hiccup during our visit with our family member in treatment. It was taken care of in a timely, caring, fully supportive manner. I went for my family member, and I left learning about myself. I highly recommend that if you have a loved one or struggling yourself to consider Rimrock Foundation, my greatest thanks is to Polly for an amazing family program, Traci front desk for truly caring. And Melissa for going above and beyond for our family. Thank you, is just not enough.
