I've been loyal to this clinic for 3 years, and I have to say the bads definitely outweigh the good. My psychiatrists have always been people that dismissed my needs and would tell me that I NEEDED all the medications… they prescribed to me. The medications I've been taking most of the time did the same thing, but they just wanted to prescribe more and more and I felt chained to them. The communication is also very lack luster and they expect you to just call 911 all for a mental health crisis, which seems a little tedious and a waste of their time. It's also a common thing for them to constantly get a high number of calls and needing to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get to a receptionist (I remember waiting for half an hour just to reschedule an appointment). I don't know why that it is, but maybe if you're experiencing high call volumes everyday, maybe you should fix your work ethic... I want a new clinic, and I'll just go cold turkey on today's appointment, because THERE'S YET ANOTHER HIGH VOLUME OF CALLS AND I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE!

NO STARS. Scheduled an appointment with PCP and asked for transportation. Francis scheduled it, but when I called today to look into first NO ONE answered forced to leave a voicemail. Knowing they don't voicemails for a… day I called back and was told transportation was cancelled by patient. Look I never got a call or text and I did not cancel it. I honestly can't stand this place anymore .........if you looking at places to go for help this is not the place

This office will refuse for you to get a hold of their office manager if there’s issues going on within the office like caseworkers not doing their job or no one doing their job but the doctor. you will be ignored for… months on end, even if you have a baby.

Copa health has ruined my life. I’ve been with Copa for 4 years. All of my medical coverage was dropped due to MANY people not doing their job: My entire life is now in shambles and they never respond or call back.… Their benefits specialist is 100% incompetent. I’ve had worse mental health dealing with these people than any other organization. I’ve tried over and over and over again to defend them in some way but I no longer can. This is just not okay in the slightest.

I have been with this clinic for a very long long time. I started with them in 2011 probably even before that. They had many different names even. I’ve been relatively happy and have had much success to. Until the last… couple years I can’t seen to get any help from anyone there and I’ve had a few case managers as well. I was told back in 2013 I was put on the housing list yet still don’t have anything. Then just got told I had only been put on it a few months ago. I am currently staying in a rv with no working ac and no running water. And I can’t seem to get any help from my clinical team I’m even lucky if the actual do text me back or even call. I go to this clinic for my mental health and instead of helping me they have made my mental status worse lately. It’s like they just don’t actually care about why people go to the clinic to begin with. I feel like maybe if they make our mental illness worse they maybe have job security. Well not if I past from this heat. Right now it is 109 outside and it is 115 inside my rv.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! WARNING WARNING!! They have no idea what they are doing. They will leave you with days without meds and expect you to go to the 24/7 clinic. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN!

The people answering the phones are incompetent. They can't keep good psychiatric professionals for more than a couple months. Same goes for most case managers. The staff who remain are overworked and underpaid. The… wait for appointments is long. Everyone is doing their best, but it isn't enough for those needing help with mental health.

Staffing (mainly the guy that opens the doors) making up rules that people aren't allowed to wait for rides in front of the building. Copa is a tenant in this building but they don't own the entire building. If people… want to wait in front for their rides they can.

I am begging whatever governmental entity may be out there that has the ability to, to shut this place down. They will not fill prescriptions on time (causing you to go through monthly withdrawals), referrals (to… therapy, specialist, any and everything) disappear into the ether, caseworkers quitting weekly, disrespectful and dismissive (at best) staff overall. You wanna switch meds or get a different pcp? you wanna get a therapist? I deeply wish you luck, because they don’t care enough nor have the staff to meet any of your needs. I was abused and neglected here for over 10 years. I’m physically and mentally disabled, and to say that being a patient here was hell is an understatement. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. This facility has blood on their hands (including mine) with their rampant neglect and abuse of patients.

If you don't have mental issues going in, you're guaranteed to have an abundance of then when you leave. Let's first mention the Veyo drivers that are rude and unprofessional in my opinion and observation of the ones… that have picked me up. My services were terminated in 2024 due to my lack of participation as it relates to going to the facility. The main reason there were issues with me keeping appointments was the fact that I was suffering from sleep deprivation as a result of my noisey inconsiderate neighbors. Secondly, I don't like having an appointment in office via Zoom! I felt uncomfortable, genuinely uncared for & about, rushed & I wasn't allowed time or opportunity to discuss the issues that brought me in. Why? Because the doctor overtalked me and was always eager to prescribe medication. Her only question was, how is the medication working! Every person doesn't necessarily need a cabinet full of pills, how about some discussions to get to the root of the matter that's causing or exacerbating the issue(s)!? Additionally, I loathe taking the medication prescribed for depression/anxiety because noted side effects state they cause depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations. Been there done that WHILE medicated so why would I desire to ingest something that creates the problem I'm being seen for! Lastly, since rejoining COPA I've requested a transfer to the East/Tempe location nearly 6 months ago to no avail. I explained that I didn't want to come to the Peoria location anymore because of all the previous depressing occurrences that I experienced and the lack of adequate assistance I WASN'T receiving.. I advised them not to make any future appointments for me at that location. A week later I get a call from a Veyo driver that said he was there to pick me up for an appointment THERE. I was under the impression when making the next appointment it would be at my requested location AND the address they gave him to pick me up wasn't an address I told them I was available at. With all that confusion, they still tried to convince me to come in and advised they'd send another vehicle for me to the correct address!! It's like my words fall on deaf ears with them! The icing on the cake is the fact I had been calling for weeks after that reiterating my desire to transfer on voicemail because the person I was assigned to, Jessica, and who I had been having the bulk of my discussions with; was too busy to ever pick up the phone or return my calls. Finally, 2 days ago I attempted to get some resolution to this ongoing matter, only to learn that Jessica no longer works there. So who was receiving my messages, why didn't they give them to the appropriate person and why wasn't I informed that she was leaving and who would be my new contact person? I definitely and expeditiously have to find a new clinic!

My son was transferred from Terros to Copa Health on 83rd Ave. and Thunderbird two years ago at my request. At that time, he was struggling with his mental health and on court ordered treatment. Today, he is thriving is… substance free, off court order, and has real insight into his illness all thanks to the Copa Health ACT Team. Special thanks to Mary Lopez and her team for their compassion and dedication. They truly care about the SMI community and go above and beyond every step of the way. I will forever be grateful for the difference they’ve made in my son’s life.

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! 3 times they failed me when in crisis and each time i was hung up on when i told them i was suicidal. Sandra told me to be an adult and wouldn’t listen to me. hung up on me 3 times. Her… supervisor Salina hung up on me and said she’s going to quit her job when i said i wanted to do harm. My provider called and calmed down and made sure i was safe. I called the director to let her know what happened. I put in. complaint with my insurance company about that place and those women. And i requested a transfer out as i didn’t feel safe with the staff at COPA. These people work with SMI patients and I was on the ACT team. If they can’t handle it when patients are in distress and frantic for help, then they shouldn’t be allowed to work there. So after i complained to the director to my insurance company and then ask for the transfer that night We got swatted By SWAT. We were informed that somebody at copa had told them that I had killed my family and then myself. They accused my husband, threatening them at copa After the SWAT team saw that it was obvious I didn’t kill my family or myself. They left then at 2 AM in the morning Police came around again then two days later The police came at 6 AM in the morning because I had been petitioned. I went with them voluntarily, and when I saw the psychiatrist at the facility, she said that the petition was obviously retaliation and she dismissed the petition, and I went home the same day A few days later, copa comes knocking at my door saying that they had to do a welfare check on me because apparently that morning I had said I was going to harm myself which was totally not true. All I did was call about my transfer. These people lie, they don’t help you they lie about you and don’t lose their jobs. This is absolutely not a safe place especially for smi

Copa health Peoria is only out for money. They let the patients that are court ordered make their own decisions. When they have a patient that has been on a medication for five months and there delusions get worse each… day they refuse to change it. They are only out for the money they get for each patient.

I have been in health care for 30 years, COPA WEST VALLEY is the absolute worst place to go for mental health care. I don't want to leave even 1 star. They have a team who will just deflect and not take any… accountability for their poor care. They claim they are pro family if you have a loved one, like I do who requires care. They are not. They have a nurse practitioner who leads and lets people, even their own staff call him doctor. He is NOT a doctor. He won't even correct people as to his appropriate title of nurse. That speaks volumes about his integrity. They take the SMI (severely mentally ill) person on their word for everything and let them make poor and even bad decisions admittedly, because "its their right". Eric D. in administration admitted that they would let my son drive 1.5 hours to their clinic after smoking weed, so drive impaired, because it's his (my sons) right! Instead of calling for transportation to come pick him up and bring him home. "it's his decision to drive impaired" is what he said and supported. Instead of listening that my son's case manager is 100% fully aware he smokes weed daily and order transportation. They finally ordered transportation AFTER I told the case manager he smoked and couldn't drive that far. They are completely unprofessional, they have zero empathy or sympathy, they will completely support their staff even when it's beyond obvious that they are wrong. They actually admit that they have too many patients to take care of, and that the mental health system is broken, but there's nothing to be done, so deal with it. If you given any push back they will cut you off, stop listening to you and not involve family in the care of their loved one. Stay far away from this place. They are only "doers" or box checkers I call them, there is ZERO critical thinking that takes place there.
