Northeastern Center Inc – Angola Detox and Rehab Services
Northeastern Center Inc – Angola is recorded as offering intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record shows integrated treatment rather than one problem then the other. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Northeastern Center Inc – Angola Address, Location and Contact Information
Records give the address as 3265 Intertech Drive, Angola, Indiana, 46703. This address falls in Steuben County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
Call ahead to confirm directions, parking and what a first appointment involves. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Reviews gathered from around the web are included as well.
The most recent reviews are from years ago so I'd like to talk about the changes that have happened over the years compared to the past reviews. I've been going here for the last four years now. I've had to change… therapists once (with enough warning) and I've had to change case managers twice (also with given warnings) every issue I've ever had had been resolved quickly and efficiently (I am so sorry for getting upset about my meds that one time, omg I still feel guilty) I've felt very safe with my therapists and they've been a great help in my mental journey
Completely unprofessional
Have been going there for years and have always had great, caring and professional service
Very rude and unprofessional. They will not return your calls and it's impossible to get clinical records for your personal record keeping. But they are quick to send you the bill and get you out the door with a pocket… full of prescriptions. They are simply their to make money.
disrespectful/rude & unprofessional staff. they would call me numerous times to change my appointment dates, I'd come in on the new rescheduled date only to be told that there was no appointment for me that day & acted… like as if the phone call never happened. the psychiatrist had a very bad attitude that would interrupt me when I spoke of my concerns, disregarded my concerns, & spoke in a disrespectful manner to me. the front desk staff also had a disrespectful manner. so far the only nice staff I've interacted with is the therapist. they diagnosed me with major depression & anxiety so I feel as if they should understand how the way they speak to someone with this diagnosis mentally hurts & scares off the client from wanting to come back. they have not made me feel safe or comfortable, rather I feel like it's been nothing but money milking & pill pushing. I'd only recommend for the therapy, nothing else.
This is a little harsh and I’m sorry. I am writing this with respect and concern. But, I used to think this place was great. In the beginning, nearly 2-3 years ago. I struggled so long to find mental health care due to… lack of insurance. This place was a miracle at first. I could see a light at the end of the tunnel, knowing I’d have a team to work with to achieve my goals and heal. The team being: Psychiatrist (prescriber), psychologist (therapist) and case manager. It was a great idea. It didn’t last. It really started when my first therapist, the first one to ever help me in 20 years and understand me, left. She didn’t say it explicitly, but it was heavily implied that it was due to how the place is being ran. Then my case worker quit. One days notice on that. I don’t even know who my new one is because communication is not a strong point with this place. It’s been over a year. I have never met my new case manager. Not once. I seriously never leave negative reviews, not on anything. I don’t like to be difficult or complain, or exaggerate, But 90% of the staff I knew in the beginning are now gone with little to no warning. And again, I don’t want to cause a problem or be disrespectful but the new front desk people take a tone that makes it kinda really really difficult to get any info. It’s different people every time I go in. You feel like you’re in trouble or something for calling. That you’re legitimately inconveniencing them. I have stopped calling because of this. It’s easier to just deal with my stuff compared to working out this mess at this point, and it’s actually a great source of stress and panic for me.. They’re more harm than help at this point, and I’d love for that to change. You can tell they either don’t want to be there or they just don’t care. Which I never want to think about someone. But it hurt. I felt like I should be apologizing for my basic question. The complete lack of stable staffing has made it all the more easy to just withdraw. I mean this respectfully, but I no longer feel supported by my team. Why should I be? They’ll be gone in 3-6 months. For every time I no called, no showed (I’m not defending that, it was wrong of me to do) there was no record of my scheduled appointment anywhere. In 15 months, I walked an hour to get there just to be told I don’t have an appt, despite me clearly holding the appt card in my hand. At least 9 times, y’all. Not 1, not 2, NINE. Half of these were psychiatrist appointments. I have gone without refills or medication a few times, simply because the appt time they gave me just magically disappeared. I have been hospitalized due to this, TWICE. Some meds aren’t safe to cold turkey quit, like mine. Even one missed day can have steep consequences. I hate saying this cause some of the staff is wonderful, but this has been a nightmare and I feel worse off. There is zero trust now. I feel 100% alone in this. There is no support coming. Just excuses and miscommunication/misinformation. I’m trying to remain objective about it, but they just don’t care. So why should I?
Seems to me that the northeastern cenrt in Angola is just interested in the money. I was going there for over 6 month and dr.lauren did not help me at all. It was always try try this, let me add this, double this one.… And on and on . She did not help me at all!!!
I feel the Northeastern center in Angola, Indiana is not interested in helping patients, they just want people to come there over and over. I was a patient for over 6 month, and all unheard was try this, let's add this.… Nothing worked for me. In the 6+ month Dr Lauren only meant me face to face one time. The rest was over zoom( computer). Jeff Cleveland
Generally the mental health staff are fine. The administration and the front desk rarely know what’s going on and have attempted to drop me as a patient multiple times without giving me reason or being able to tell me… how to fix it.
Literally have never heard a single good thing about here they have only disrespected the people I know and made their life worse
I would exhaust all other options especially if you have crisis happening. Even if you have to drive far. The director also is very insensitive and unapologetic for any failures that happen on their part. The most… unprofessional care I've experienced for my child.
The staff has been great for the most part. The case managers and counselors are caring, personable, and professional. They keep their appointments and don't cancel at the last minute. Something to keep in mind is that… they are there to help--not necessarily be your friend, which sometimes means telling you things you don't want to hear. But it is done in a compassionate way and with your best interests in mind.
I have no idea what went wrong with everyone else. I checked myself in a few weeks ago and have had a great experience. The staff has been nothing but wonderful to me. They have worked with my schedule and my financial… situation since the beginning. As for the "doctor being on the computer", you're given a choice between a the local doctor or the nurse practitioner (Dr. Lauren) who is in Auburn (and contacts patient through a web video call). Dr. Lauren was an absolute treat as far as doctors go, and I've seen quite a few at this point. The only thing I can criticize is the initial delay I experienced when scheduling appointments. It took a few weeks before I was able to see my therapist, and my psychiatrist was even further out. However, that was a small price to pay for the kindness and respect the staff has shown me.
Unprofessional don't follow their own policies and don't even bother to take the time to review past records to help diagnose and treat the patient. You have to make 4 appointments before you see a doctor. None of these… appointments help the patient if they don't get past medical records.Tell the patient not to come back until they are ready for treatment?? Since when is this treatment for mentally ill patients?? Last time I looked up mental illness until you are on the correct medicine the patient doesn't necessary cooperate and talk to counselors. So 4 appointments later you see the doctor and they don't tell you when you make the appointment you don't actually physically see the doctor. The doctor is on the computer. Mental illness needs real treatment. Sorry unprofessional and all about $$$$ not helping patients. Mom of patient.
They suck!!!! Unprofessional, won't write scripts because they're scared.
Money hungry had 5 appointments made for me before they even talked once to me about anything do not recommend
