Changes – Dayton Detox and Rehab Services
Changes – Dayton carries a listing for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. The right level of care is a clinical judgement rather than a preference, and an assessment should produce a defined answer.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Changes – Dayton Reviews and Ratings
Patients and loved ones with experience of Changes are invited to leave a review here. Say what the program was like day to day, how staff treated you and how leaving treatment was planned.
I don't really understand where all of the negative reviews are coming from. This place is genuinely lifesaving. The PHP/IOP programs are group therapy in a class-like setting where you learn coping/emotional regulation… skills. As long as you're willing to put in the effort then this place can really make a positive change. Most of the staff are very caring, and Madi in particular is genuinely one of the best people they could have had for the job here. I'd really recommend Beckett if you need a higher level of care than individual therapy, I have had a lot of success here.
If the absolutely horrible way in which I was treated after only starting the paperwork is what this company views as a healthy way to change, then I am definitely never coming back. I will attempt to find somewhere… else that believes in compassion, respect and human decency.
Kelsey and Lori are awesome! Has been very supportive with my son. HOWEVER, I feel like Yvonne at the front desk has been TERRIBLE since day one. They definitely have the WRONG person being the first impression when you… walk through the door. She is always so rude in person and over the phone.
Unfortunately, West Chester doesn't talk to Centerville.. Nobody
They kicked me out for being upset that a guy admitted to being a homophobe
I give honest reviews so I’ll give 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff are very nice and they care. However, both times I have attempted out patient here, all we did was watch YouTube and listen to music.. I thought… there would be group discussions.. actual therapy things.. but no.. both times were “watch this YouTube video about stress or anxiety” and talk about how you feel after watching.. very boring, very tedious, and very time consuming.. especially when you have a full time job and have bills to pay.
This place has been great so far! I am in the IOP program and the staff have all been awesome and the material has been helpful.
Loved it here! Everyone was nice, helpful, and supportive 🩷
I’m going there for myself and they are absolutely amazing. They do work You on your individual issues, but you’re in a group setting and hearing other people‘s thoughts and feelings and their experience helps
I’d call this place a joke, but that’d be an insult to jokes everywhere. This is a place for troubled teens right? So why did my daughter get kicked out after two and a half days even though she was not violent and… didn’t make threats? Seems like they can’t handle troubled teens at all. By the way, they DID charge me for the full program, even though she was there less than three days. Just don’t even bother. I was told all they did was play with slime anyway. Waste of time and money. Just a way for your troubled teen to meet even more troubled teens.
FRAUDS!!!! ONLY CONCERN IS MONEY NOT THE TRUE WELLBEING OF THE PATIENT. Was told start of day 3 that I had to pay $2000 out of pocket for the 8 week program. I couldn't afford any large amount and therefore had to drop… out. I received charges totalling over $800 for 1 day and a half in the program. I do not recommend at all. I went for assessment and because of my household responsibilities, I had to schedule to come in 2 weeks later so I could go on medical LOA. I was told during the assessment that they would notify me prior to start if I had any out of pocket expenses, as this was a concern of mine and their normal policy. I heard nothing from them prior to starting so to me that meant I did not have any out of pocket cost. Day 1 another assessment completed (per policy), which meant I was not participating in the classes that day, because I was constantly being pulled out. Day 2 I did participate in classes and saw the psychologist. Received a miss call notification from financial department and attempted to call back but jad to leave a message. Day 3 I attended 1 class for a hour. Went on break and placed call to financial department again. At that time was notified I had $2000 out of pocket cost due at that time in order to proceed with treatment. So I had to leave the program. Very upsetting when you really need the help. Causing a panic attack. There seemed to be no empathy, no 2nd thought to making sure my mental state was okay, no way to work things out for me to remain in the program. They didn't recommend another program or options to help me. I thank God I had a therapist prior to starting the program. By the way my therapist felt I needed more consistent emergent help which is why I came to the IOP program in the 1st place. My bill is fraudulent because they have my care listed as hospital stay verse outpatient and for therapy I did not truly receive. THEY NEED RO BE SHUT DOWN! The day of therapy I did receive was a waste because it was generalized not addressing personal issues. I did go to another facility and they were a big help and my wellbeing came before getting my money. Kettering behavioral health is the place I recommend.
Please consider going here. One of the best therapists of my life I️ saw While here in this program. A truly life changing experience for me for the better. It’s been years since I️ attended And it has still to this day… been one of the best mental health experiences of my life. I’d choose this one if I️ was you.
Honestly all you need to know is that if you have a teenager or just a kid in general DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!! This was by far THE WORST mental health facility I have ever been to. When I went there I was 11 years old… and they were so disrespectful and rude to me. Instead of helping me see that my behaviors were bad they just told me that I can’t act like that and that they were going to send me to a residential facility. I was there to GET help not get worse and when I went home that day I cried to my parents not to let me back there. I could say so much more but please don’t send your kids here they are so disrespectful and rude and they will put there hands on your kids.
I attended the IOP at Changes and loved it! I was very apprehensive to attend group therapy, but it was truly the best decision I have ever made. My therapists, Jenna and Maddie, were so knowledgeable, kind and helpful.… In group, you learn about skills to cope with anxiety and depression. The skills I have learned are truly life-changing and empowering. I attended therapy for one month. Every person I have met at Changes, from nurses to administrators and the psychiatrist, have all been kind, accepting and loving. Changes is a safe place to be yourself, be vulnerable and learn. Make the choice to attend, you won’t regret it.
The youth program is a waste of time. The staff is very negative and condescending, especially the counselor (Liz). Instead of being positive or caring, they are negative, ridiculing and inconsistent. They point out… faults as often as they take breaths. These kids are there for a reason. They need skills and encouragement that they CAN succeed. This staff is NOT helpful.
****Specifically aimed towards the West Chester Facility****** This is one of the worse facilities I have ever had to deal with. They treat the mental health patients like they are in a prison, prescribe the same… medication to everyone not realizing what the side effects do to them once they go home. My wife was treated like a cash cow and pushed along without anyone acknowledging her symptoms and cry for help. Now she is reaping the consequences of their actions and dealing with severe side effects from a medication that she should have NEVER been treated with. These “patients” that are in your facilities need your help and all you do is zombify them and send them on their marry way. Pay attention to your patients cry for help, not just numb their symptoms or pain. Help them fix their problems so they don’t end up like my wife, struggling to figure out a solution to fixing the mess that these idiots created! Terrible place to take anyone you love and care about. Staff was rude, disrespectful, and lazy. Can’t believe this was “recommended “ for a mental health facility.
All the staff are professional and attentive to a patients needs. The skills I’ve learned will help me navigate my mental and physical health for the rest of my life. I would recommend Beckett Springs Changes to anyone… who needs help learning and achieving better mental health.
Miss Jenna is awesome! She is so kind, smart and patient. Your first day might seem overwhelming, but don’t give up. It is so worth it! Be open minded and give yourself grace. You’ve got this! You can do it!
Currently 4 years free from issues that this placed helped me conquer. Only gripes I could express was they didn't have a group just for law enforcement or former military at this location and if you had mentioned… anything that could be considering graphic you could feel slight judgement. When they went virtual during covid I believe it didn't have the same feeling as when it did for in person visits. Another gripe I had was when one of the psychiatrist that you would see wouldn't sign paper work for you to be covered from work because in his exact words " I don't believe Rehab or Mental issues are grounds to be off work". This was back in 2020 so I don't know if he still works there but if he does you really need to change that mind set. The Nurses and other staff there were great and helped out when needed. If your a recovering addict or are going through some mental issues at some point in time I highly recommend coming here and just take what I say with a grain of salt since I haven't been here since 2020.
My son had excellent care while attending Beckett springs Changes. The family therapy was beneficial to our entire family.
I posted a very lengthy specific negative review on this site several years ago that was REMOVED. Wish I had typed it up and saved it. Keeping this short this time, I would NEVER recommend this place unless you want… your teenager to learn more bad habits and for the staff to treat you poorly. She left in worse shape than she got there.
Ms. Tina was honest and empathetic. She gave my child great tools for navigating life.
Positive this place saved me......Definitely life changing! Staff, therapist, psychiatrist, nurses, all are amazing! Thank you for being a significant part of my journey 😊
Giving one star because I don’t have the option to give zero do not recommend this place
The whole staff here are all helpful, compassionate, and understanding. Jenna took the time to teach me the skills I needed to succeed. In the future, if I need help, I know where to turn to.
I had an amazing experience at this location. Ms. Jenna is an awesome therapist!! the group setting was comfortable and made me feel safe. I would recommend anyone and everyone to go here if you are seeking treatment!… Amazing Staff!!
Rude, unprofessional and unorganized.
I recently completely their Partial Hospitalization program. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Jenna was out group therapist. I can't recommend her enough. She leads her groups with compassion and makes… sure no one feels alienated while we learn skills to overcome our symptoms. I'm going to miss her.
Changes has changed my life! Going to this class with Jenna the Therapist there was amazing!! She teaches you skills that you will have and use for the rest of you life. She makes sure that you really understand the… material before moving on. Class is fun and nothing like what I’ve experienced before with any other groups. I’ve learned and grown so much and my family has noticed a difference in me. I’ve learned how to slow down and process what I’m thinking or feeling before taking action. My relationships are better between myself and my daughters as well. I recommend this group to anyone who struggles with addiction as well. You will cover relapse prevention and coping skills when you are triggered. You will learn more about yourself and your triggers. I trust this place so much that we are singing up our daughter into there program for Kids in August! Huge thank you to the psychiatrist there as well, Dr. A!! He has been called a wizard by some with medicine, knowing exactly what he is doing in how he treats his patients. If you need to take transportation they have two outstanding drivers who make you feel comfortable and at home. Thank you Beckett Springs and all the staff for everything!!
