McIntyre Center Inc – Cleveland Detox and Rehab Services
The register shows McIntyre Center Inc – Cleveland providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

McIntyre Center Inc – Cleveland Address, Location and Contact Information
The site is at 6900 Ridge Road in Cleveland, Ohio, 44129. Cleveland sits in Cuyahoga County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. The practical question of getting to appointments week after week is worth thinking through at the outset.
Phone ahead about parking, access and what the first appointment covers. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

I recently did the dip program through McIntyre center. Bill was our teacher and he was great. All in all A great program with great guest speakers. The hotel could have been better. But that’s not their fault. I would… highly recommend going through McIntyre center for your driving intervention program.
Shit show. Counselors mayblast a year. Your told 3 months to IOP.....it could be 11. Ask around. Told your going there for IOP? Sorry more than likely you'll do PHP for however long AGAIN. And treatment isn't just their… opinion.....it also has to do with basically their only housing clientel.....Mr. Dave Pines.. Find another place.
I love it here. It’s definitely changed me for the better. I love the counselors and therapists here. Thank you I will miss you all
The worst place to call treatment i attended the program at the Wyndham hotel on independence the rooms was horrible some toilets didn't flush some shower didn't work the smell of mold in every room including the class… room people was bit by something metal injured one woman's eye and she couldn't get any assistance form hotel or McIntyre staff a young woman was starved when she told them at check in she doesn't eat meat and served meat I know that everyone was there for one reason or another but to have live in such horrible condition added more trauma in my life I must say the instructors were aware of all these issues and more with multiple rooms and they did nothing to help us 28 people molded rooms no working air conditioners no working water they should be ashamed of themselves i would never recommend any one go here for any help they don't care about you wellbeing only reason you got one star is because I had to in order to get my complaint in other than that I give -25
Changed my life going there, lead me to seek treatment for myself, thanks..
My wife had a court ordered alcohol assessment there. It is filled with lies and statements she never made. Their recommendation based on their false assessment was that she get $4400 in intensive treatment. What a gig,… submit an assessment full of falsehoods to the court and then have court mandate treatment. Nothing but con artists here.
100% Do Not Recommend! Burton, Oh location. My friends mom died suddenly in here. She doesn’t think it’s their fault but they disregard all her attempts to retrieve her medical records. Why? Was she not getting the… proper care that she needed? Does she need a lawyer? Some guy tells her he will contact her and never does, it’s been weeks! He says something about HIPAA violations but gives very vague explanations. She went to go pick up the rest of her mothers belongings today and the place was run down and unprofessional. The lady at the front did not greet her or look at her. Asked her if her name was “Blank” (not her name) and then continued looking at the computer. She’s had a hard couple of weeks so I thought I might say something for her.
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS POORLY RAN “For-Profit” agency. Complete scam and Insurance fraud. After reading all the other reviews and comments, I have to completely agree with the person that said “One star is… generous.” The staff completely disregards any questions you have about what services you are being billed for. After being told services would initially be covered than received a letter from my insurance company saying it was denied. Not receiving a specific treatment plan that meets my personal goals and needs. Everything is a “team decision” the staff on the team is poorly educated, trained, short staffed, and lack of communication. They put things off at their convenience to make more money. Whether the courts are involved or not they see it as an opportunity to take advantage of a vulnerable situation to their advantage to make money from insurance companies. They are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and I’m sure are violating many regulations and laws. It’s honestly appalling and sickening how they are so fake and corrupt.
Recommend for the DIP program! It was affordable and actually not as bad as i thought it would be. Bill and the guest speakers were amazing and very informative! Also had a great group
I highly recommend this DIP. As much as I thought the weekend was going to last a lifetime, the guest speakers and McIntyre staff were absolutely amazing, and it flew by. A HUGE shoutout to Bill for being our gracious… host, and making sure any questions we had, were answered; or directed to a reliable source. Thank you!
Insurance scam
Be careful what you go in here for... sober several years needing an assessment done for custody court and they recommended IOP that I would have to pay for ..spoke of continuing treatment could be beneficial to be but… this wasn't for me it was for custody court so just be careful what you go in here for almost certain they're going to recommend treatment
This place is a sham they only want your money don't trust them go to a different place trust me they will say you need counseling for your past I didn't go in for when I was a 22 year old kid and even then I went here… for that due and they told me I didn't need counseling the old owners were great these people just try to get your money
It's no spa if that's what your expecting for 475$ and besides your there because you f'd up any how! Food was ehh but you can thank covid for that(3meals, great coffee, bottled water). But overall the course was… informative and other than a few rules during meetings and 72 hour confinement to the hotel it was what it was an easier way to serve my time for screwing up! Breaks were plentiful. Met some nice people and Bill and Art were cool and knowledgeable! Don't believe any of the negative reviews from earlier, they are fair!! And if you need extra care, chances are you already knew it before you came here!
The 72 hour D.I.P. program I attended was great. Bill and Mary are wonderful people and counselors. The program McIntyre puts on is incredibly informative and overall helpful, providing information I will use in the… future to insure I'm not in this trying position again. Certain questions in their background exams and assessments are not worded the best and can be misinterpreted so if you're unsure definitely ask beforehand. Overall I would recommend McIntyre center to someone in a similar position.
They Will definitely recommend further treatment no matter what you tell them. The Russian lady is so out of touch with reality she told me & I quote " the police don't lie " 🤬
I would absolutely not recommend. If you have insurance. Watch out !!!! I guarantee There will be further treatment recommended so they can bill more to to your insurance company. Total scam !!!!!!!!
Honestly unsure of all these bad reviews because I attended their Driver Intervention Program recently in Westlake. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It was by far the most affordable. The staff was amazing and… made the whole experience great. It was informative and they also made it fun at the same time. The speakers they had come in were all wonderful also. I’ve kept contact with a few people I met there in the program who all feel the same. It was an overall great experience and I would recommend this center to anyone looking in the DIP program!!! Thank you McIntyre Center!!!
Behavior contracts for every single thing u do. Today was put on contract for using techniques taught by theropy sessions to calm my anxiety Thanks for handing out punishments instead of help
The curriculum for IOP is about 20 years old but I still learned alot. The last day of the week all we do is watch a recovery movie, eat popcorn and color. The staff are chill. The coffees good. Theres no homework,… breaks every hour. It went by pretty quickly. Thanks McIntyre Center!
Went for an assessment last week & am waiting on my results. Can anyone tell me what the IOP program is like from here ?? I'll also rate & review after I complete the program
The staff is HIGHLY INCOMPETENT and by NO means are capable of doing ANY health care services such as alcohol rehabilitation or worst yet, dual diagnosis!! My screening report had TONS of mistakes (including grammar AND… spelling mistakes), misquotes and downright incorrect information! They showed mostly movies that were main stream movies about people that drank and only ONE helpful movie that explained the disease concept of alcoholism! The rest of the time, we sat and discussed other people’s problems and the group gave suggestions mostly while the counselor (IF you can call him that) sat and mostly listened and to keep us on topic. Then we colored pictures one day, another few days we made a collage out of magazine pictures and sayings describing our ‘journey’, and we also drew a ‘coat of arms’ which consisted of drawing pictures of our favorite place to be, our favorite hobby, what animal we thought we were (based on a list given to us of what each animal stood for according to THEIR guidelines) and then a picture of what we see in our future. HOW does something like this EVER help people to overcome drinking/drugging/emotional problems?!?!?!? THEN they told me I owed them $2000 because my insurance didn’t cover everything! So I asked for a written statement which they mailed to me that said I owed $2772.02 but it didn’t show how much my insurance paid and disn’t include the fact that I completed the course, so I asked for a second invoice showing what my insurance paid for and 20 days later I get an invoice for $3005.66!! WHAT A BUNCH OF YAHOOS!! This place is a BIG farce! An EXPENSIVE big farce!!
There were several sightings of bed bugs at this run down dirty hotel where the program took place.Bill, the host or program director has no feelings for any of the clients and will easily report you to your probation… officer if you leave the hotel because of bed bugs and not offer a refund. One of the clients was hysterical and crying when she discovered the bugs in her room and did not want to stay. What a heartless piece of work he is,just to show his authority. Continental breakfast was terrible and had powdered eggs! Than they give you an assessment which they call a screening and before you know it you are ordered into there aftercare program. All they want is to get you to come to there aftercare and spend money that you do not have after getting an OVI.its our own fault of course. There plan that they have been doing for years. Most clients do not belong in there aftercare but since they recommended them to the courts you are forced to go. WHAT A SCAM! Shame on you Mcintyre Center.
These people are social parasites that make there living from the misfortune of others. They will recommend that you get an alcohol assessment that in turn the judge will then order and the next thing you know your… paying for all sorts of expensive and unnecessary follow ups that keep you in the system and in there pocket.
One star is being generous. The staff are uneducated, uninformed, and are taking advantage of the "court ordered" aspect of treatment. They will require you to return multiple times and pay hundreds of dollars for… additional required treatment and will take advantage of the fact that you will then be required to return to satisfy any court requirements. The "evaluation" is just a ruse for this company to keep their hands on your wallet. Avoid at all costs!
