Warriors Heart – Bandera Detox and Rehab Services

What Warriors Heart – Bandera offers, on record, is residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and sober living. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.

Both conditions are treated in parallel, which is what the research supports. Supported housing is recorded for people continuing treatment after a more intensive stage. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Warriors Heart – Bandera Address, Location and Contact Information

Warriors Heart – Bandera is located at 756 Purple Sage Road in Bandera, Texas, 78003. The city lies within Bandera County. The site also serves the surrounding area, and anyone traveling in should confirm the route before setting out. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.

A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

I had the privilege of visiting Warriors Heart and was thoroughly impressed by the entire facility and the dedicated staff. The Jiu-Jitsu session with the warriors was an incredible experience, rolling on the mats in a… truly supportive environment. Warriors Heart provides an exceptional space for healing and recovery, and I highly recommend their holistic approach.

Truly doing God's work. Word just reached me about this place and the type of people that are helped and I know that the work of Jesus is being done in this place. Thank you for all you do for veterans and leaving no… man behind.

This place is AWESOME!!!!!! The staff not only gave me the tools to stay sober. They also addressed my PTSD and other traumatic events throughout my whole life. I honestly believe Warriors Heart had saved my life.

Great place in life, sobriety is just apart of life, many more pieces to who we are... Emailed CR to say HI left quite the message, figured someone would respond after almost two years of sobriety since leaving here...… Either way, keep it going everyone, it will get better, set those boundaries, you first!

It’s been almost a year since my husband went here and when it comes to addiction it took me a while to believe the results but I can say that he has been sober and attending recovery program weekly through AA since he… graduated . We have our family back and the man I married is back. I am so grateful for this program.

It could have been an excellent healing experience for Warriors but was destroyed by greed and deception with clients suffering the most. Do not recommend.

This place is amazing. The complaints in the reviews worried me. But the moment I arrived I was treated with the upmost care. Only weak people leave a treatment facility like this. This place saved my life and I was… treated with dignity and respect throughout. I have my life back and that is what I went there for. Anybody you read on here that has anything bad to say is soft. This place can fix anyone WILLING to be vulnerable. Some adults never got told they couldn't be unicorns when they grew up and it shows.

I can't express enough how greatful I am to these wonderful people and the huge heart they have. They spend everyday looking out for and taking care of Warriors who are lost and seeking peace and stability in their… lives. Tom Spooner and the staff at WH are wonderful people who truly care about the Warriors they serve! Thanks for everything!

If your loved one needs basic help, help that can be found in a workbook with boxes to check for progress, this is the place for them. They can get the help they need! But if your loved one has real trauma, PTSD, or… needs clinicians who understand that "one size fits all" is not the correct way to go about substance abuse and trauma therapy, find somewhere else. The amenities and location is great, but professionalism and understanding, especially if someone's worldview or life experience is different than theirs, is lacking. I am deeply disappointed at all the promises advertised and made only to be quickly broken or not even acknowledged, clients targeted by staff (even so much to go around and try and gather info and gossip on others in order to punish them), and an incessant need for power and control, even in the most petty of ways that hinder healing and growth. The Warriors have a bond that cannot be broken. Warriors ARE healing Warriors and for them we are forever thankful. But the staff is on par with the evil that has infiltrating the ranks of the military industrial complex that has contributed to the traumas that sent most warriors to this place. It's a shame because for $1500/day you'd think they would be motivated to do better. They seem to have forgotten that these are real people with real families and real lives and jobs to go back to and they need real help.

The only good thing I got out of warriors heart was the sound machine from CR. Otherwise I left WH no different than the day I arrived. If not even worse off. More frequent nightmares, more frequent flashbacks, more… frequent panic attacks. I included a picture of the shoe pile. This picture stuck with me, and I find myself looking at it nearly every day because I know my pair will be there probably before the end of the year, if not sooner. I don't know if WH failed me, or I failed myself, or both. I guess the blame can and should only be on me. But, as great as Warriors Heart is...it can't fix everyone, and there's a reason that pile grows. Warriors Heart is what you make of it. I wish I could go back, I need to go back. But, I don't have insurance, and I don't have the money even for the travel to get there or to cover the cost of the "incidentals." If I could make a suggestion: stop making people do their timeline before they can start EMDR or ART; I personally needed the therapy more than I needed to do the timeline. I understand you don't want to desensitize people before they do their timelines. But, honestly, you guys have it wrong. The timeline is a joke compared to the healing I could have gotten if I had more time to do EMDR or ART. I got two ART sessions, and neither of them dealt with anything regarding my PTSD. The first was to see if it would work, and the second was to just help me "sleep better." Since leaving WH, I haven't been able to find any EMDR or ART. I walked out of the gates and I've been alone since. Except for some fake emails from "staff" members there. I haven't been able to find anyone who has been able to help me through my problems. My life/world before WH was shitty but, it was stable. At WH, my life became shittier and unstable. And after WH, my life is the worst it's been and is so unstable now that I'm abusing alcohol and any controlled substance I can get my hands on.

My name is Philip Walker I went there a while back. Horrible experience on my part. I left the program early. The counselor I had there just want to get me back into the collective, her words. It seemed like all the… individuals that finished the program knew they were going to go and take their own life after finishing the program. From my perspective, on 503c programs like this one. That’s way they can try and take what you have earned in life. Then make you work to get back scraps. That’s not something I need in my life again.

I just wanted to thank Robert for his exceptional and heartfelt help when my boyfriend needed help the most. Robert was always there, tiredlessly. He was always calm, collected, very professional, yet friendly, a great… listener and he took all measures necessary to save, yet, another precious life! I hope someone else reading this will know that WH does care for our brave soldiers, who at times, are not able to use that same bravery to help themselves. If it wasn't for Robert I do not know what would have happened to my sweetest and kind boyfriend. Robert listened to me many times a day, and today, because of Robert and the other valuable Warriors Heart's staff, my boyfriend is on the road to a new life, stronger to fight the evils that may come upon him. Robert, our whole-heartedly thank you for all your effort and efficiency. May life be good to you!

my father came back changed, and for the best. a few years back my dad who has combat ptsd went here for about two months. Before he came, he was very angry, quick to yell, constantly frustrated, abused drugs, and… depressed. When he came back, he of course still had his episodes as PTSD will never go away, but it was a lot more manageable. He tolerated a lot more than he used too (fireworks, bubblegum popping, burkas and niqabs). I remember he loved the meditation, therapy dogs, the location, and the other clients. I’d recommend this place if you have a family member/partner with military PTSD. It truly saved my dads life and improved the household dymanic

Dear Warriors Heart I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the current state of affairs at your rehabilitation center. Despite the substantial financial investment involved 2,200 day,… several critical issues have come to my attention that demand immediate resolution. Firstly, it is distressing to report the existence of broken stairs within the facility. This poses a severe safety risk to patients and their families and requires urgent attention to ensure a safe environment. Furthermore, I have learned that the medical team occasionally closes due to meetings, leaving patients without immediate access to necessary care. This raises concerns about the prioritization of administrative matters over the well-being of those undergoing rehabilitation. Additionally, the absence of elective activities on weekends, such as art, metal shop, or movie nights, is disheartening. Patients undergoing rehabilitation not only deserve but benefit significantly from recreational and therapeutic options during their recovery journey. The safety of clients is further compromised by the condition of the bus used for off-site meetings, which reportedly lacks working lights. Ensuring the safety of transportation is crucial, and I urge you to address this matter promptly. Lastly, it has come to my attention that client relations appear to be understaffed, potentially impacting the quality of care and support provided to patients and their families. Adequate staffing in this area is essential for maintaining open communication and addressing the needs of those involved in the rehabilitation process. I implore you to prioritize these concerns and take immediate action to rectify the mentioned issues. It is crucial to uphold the standards expected from a rehabilitation center, especially given the significant financial commitment involved. Thank you for your prompt attention to these matters. I trust that your commitment to excellence will lead to positive changes that enhance the overall experience for all individuals under your care. Sincerely, Dennys

It was a good program but they lied about the cost. They told me my insurance would pay but they never even sent it through my insurance. Four payments of $961 on top of the $350 supposedly for "incidentals" that you… never get back. It turned out to be just another rip off. It's not worth it.

This is in response to M.K.'s comment...Hello, I don't work for Warriors Heart and nope, not getting paid to comment here either. I usually don't respond or make reviews about anything but I can hear nothing but hate… and discontent in your review and I'm thinking to myself, "did we go to the same place?" Even though I'm what was dubbed a "dash-2" (it's an inside thaang) I can say with with my head up and with certainty, Miss Linda, Gary Sinise and the professional team at Warriors Heart saved my life. I was about to be one of the "22" and had already told my family it wasn't their fault and loved them and made my peace with it until I received a phone call out of the blue. "Just checking on you", yeah right, more like divine intervention with SgtMaj J. Christ dialing the numbers. Ok I'm rambling now. Back to W.H. I can't let you talk bad about the people I love without a rebuttal at least, because these folks are some black magic, Jedi mind trick, mind reading, high speed-low drag, tier 1 miracle working counselors and my friend they truly do care. You just have to be ready to open up and tell all of those deep dark secrets that you've hid from mom and dad your whole life. Yep I'm talking about that secret too😉... ALL OF THEM! Leave the pride outside and humble yourself because the end result can be a brand new life full of love and happiness with a dash of joy. I wish you and anyone reading this all the best and remember kids, "Don't Dabble!" And to Tom Spooner, Josh , Lisa, Alisa, Connie and my personal counselor, you know who you are.....much love and Semper Fi... ✌️😎🤙

Shame no one else… does. 5 suicides in my class. Countless Relapses even in program. Very judgemental in who gets a pass. Obviously the five chose their fate
