The lady in the dentist office is very rude and unprofessional, and the dentists have no idea what they are doing. Go somewhere else
Excellent service without discrimination of race or gender, very friendly reception staff, very helpful with the language, excellent young lady in the middle upon arrival

Previously 5 stars Updated 5/18/2026 I have been a patient here since I was born. That makes me almost 40 years old. I go here for my care, and my children also go here for their care. As of this year, the phone system… has been updated to a call center. This was a downgrade. The service is terrible and annoying, respectfully. This has been my biggest issue with continuing to be a patient here. I have called numerous times for different reasons and it is the biggest headache to have to deal with this new call center. I have missed calls from providers, they leave a voicemail with the extension, and when calling back the extension does not put you through to the provider or actual staff. It’s as if I’m speaking to robots, who aren’t able to give a direct answer about anything. You have to leave a message and hopefully get a call back before the day is over. It’s important for patients to feel connected to the clinic. It is frustrating to speak to an outside company who sometimes cannot find my name in the system, and then I’ll hang up, call right back and speak to a different person who has no problem at all finding my name. Asking that this complaint be considered. Hire extra staff onsite specifically for the phones. The call center communications is overwhelming.
My nurse practitioner that took care of me was amazing, her name is Emily Restrepo. She was phenomenal. She never cut me off. She wasn’t rude. She never made me feel like I was asking for too much or taking up too much… of her time even when I lost my train of thought, she never interrupted. She was just great. She listened to all my concerns made recommendation and she prescribed me the right meds. That’s going to actually help me. If you bring your kids here ask for her she was just so caring and memorable.
Omg! Keep calling for appointment and live voice mails no one get back to you regarding a medical matter with is urgent to see my dad PCP. 🥲
I got clean in 2006 this place really helped me. The rooms were nice and dark and relaxed there was no pressure to get out of bed when I didn't feel good. The staff helped me get into inpatient after care . Really great… place for community I'm grateful for this place and
I've been a patient at Dimock Health Center for over 8 years. The people that work hear are so helpful and very respectful. I will love to also say that my Favorite Sercruity Gaurd with Cruches is an amazing Man. He… welcomes everyone with open arms when you come in the doors a smile that can light up a room. Now for my doctor's ive been seeing for years, anything that I need they are on top of it great customer service skills 100%. I always recommend people to my clinic.
NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONES in addiction services like the detox area, css program, admissions. It goes to voicemail but you can't leave a message because mailbox is full on all phone prompts. Including to just ask for an… bed!! Dropped off client. Noone has contacted me. I cant get thru to check on him. Its been 3 days!!! How does this happen???
My son went to school here. He was attacked all the time to the point where now my son was diagnosed with PTSD from other children. They also suspended him because of how he reacted after all of the damage was already… done. They talk about doing trainings all the time but nothing was never really done to ensure my son’s safety, so I pulled him out. I hate what they did to my child. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Mostly good doctors, absolute garbage administrative and clerical staff. My family and I have been patients at Dimock for primary care, pediatrics, opthalmology, mental health and dental at various points in the past. I… left Dimock one specialty at a time for more consistent care, shorter wait times (to get an appointment and to be seen), professional and respectful staff, and less turnover. One primary care doctor ignored obvious symptoms to provide a wildly incorrect diagnosis which could have life threatening consequences. Fortunately, she's no longer there, but luckily, neither are we. The last hold out for me was dental. Although I really liked my dentist and the hygienists, the front desk left A LOT to be desired. Rude, dismissive, ineffective and extremely poor communication and follow up. It's ridiculous patients must wait 5 months for a 10 min 'checkup', only have to wait another 5-6 months if you need additional treatments, then 7+ months for a routine cleaning, especially when you're supposed to see your dentist every six months! No ma'am! There are other, better medical practices out there.
I needed to return my eyeglasses. Twice I went there to bring the to the optical shop, both times it was closed, because the woman was out sick. No one covering. I take the ride there. I have called and was on hold for… 20 minutes. Called back again and was put on hold. What i had asked, is the optical shop open. If it’s not going to be open on its regular days. Put a notice on you web page. I wanted to update this review. I was contacted by the staff at Dimock. And also got to talk with DR, Pogue. It all went very well. My glasses will be fixed. And I understand their situation better. I appreciate them getting back to me. Communication is a good thing. Mary
The staff is very attentive and competent, but in the almost 6 years I've been going to that clinic, every time I go, a different doctor treats me.
I've been a patient for 60 years. So disappointed with the changes. They don't inform when PCP leaves, so it's difficult to get Rx Refills. They stopped hiring Black support staff 20 years ago. Complaints go nowhere.… Who's the CEO, Board of Directors? Why can't they retain MDs?
I had an eye appointment scheduled for Saturday morning. The building was locked, there were no lights on inside, and no visible people inside. There were multiple other customers waiting outside of the building for… various appointments who were also unable to access the building. There was no answer to repeated phone calls. I waited for 30 min beyond my appointment time before leaving empty handed. I will not be returning.
Great place and amazing staff
It's a good clinic......but it has terribly long wait times when you call the adult clinic to book an appointment.
Don't go here if you can avoid it. Not only can you never get urent care appointments in adult medicine, the PCPs change constantly and you can't get physical appointments within months. The absolute WORST when it comes… to referrals for outside specialist. I deal with their referrals every time I need to go to my eye care specialist and it literally takes them months to send referrals and this time around they never sent it and I'm dealing with a 2K bill thats covered by my insurance. Pediatrics is great but if you need a adult medicine or want to go somewhere as a family find somewhere else. I'm stuck until a PCP opens up at my kids new clinic.
If you are looking for a dentist, look elsewhere. I called the dentistry line at 11:50 am trying to schedule an appointment as a new patient. The receptionist answered the phone, told her I wanted to schedule an… appointment as a new client, and she told me to call back after 1 because she was going out to lunch. I thought that was strange, but thought nothing of it. I called back around 1:15/30 pm and it was the same woman. I reiterated that I was calling to schedule a new patient appointment. She fixed her teeth to tell me that new patient appointments are only scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm… I wish you could’ve seen the confusion on my face. I proceeded to point out that she told me to call her back after 1 pm and that I initially called her in between the 9-12 time frame to schedule. She doubled down saying “yeah, I was going out to lunch” So you should’ve been in your seat until 12:01 if that’s the case helping clients on the phone. Also, I doubt it was going to take more than 5 minutes to register me. In addition, why did you even pick up the phone at all? You knew the new patient call hours, I didn’t. Telling me to call back when you knew I couldn’t register as a new patient AFTER your lunch is bizarre.
PCP requested a quick follow up call with me after I came in for an issue I was having. I asked if I would be charged a copay and was told no. They called to check if I was having the issue and charged me a $25 copay… for the 30 second phone call. I called the finance department when I received the bill to dispute it and they said they would look at the issue. No call back and I get the bill again, so I call again. They say they have my claim on file and to just ignore the bill. Fast forward 9 months and my $25 has been forwarded to a debt collector. I paid it but I’m super disappointed with this interaction at every turn and will not be trusting the Dimock Center with my healthcare going forward. My obgyn experience here also was very unaccommodating for my concerns. I will be switching doctors.
When I was young (about 4 years old) my brother (also about the same age) had autism and I had severe attachment issues with my mother. The Headstart program here, according to my mother, changed her life. She told me… two weeks ago about how a social worker once arrived in her apartment and solemnly reported that she felt bad that my mother, a single mother, had to go through raising two difficult young children. But the people at Headstart were patient and took care of me when I was young. I still have fond memories of crying incoherently due to my levels of stress, but then being quietly reassured by the staff. I miss the people here. I will always be tearful when thinking about this place. They did so much for me and my mom. They were the sweetest people on Earth.
The worst experience dealing with the receptionist in dentistry. If you can, go somewhere else. I called to see if there where any openings to been seen sooner, and the receptionist offers to give me an appointment two… months later, while trying to cancel the appointment I already have. Absolutely devoid of patience and understanding. These receptionist treat my calls like they're battling someone.
