A/D Psychotherapy and Clinical Inc – Sandy

My experience at A&D Psychotherapy’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) was disappointing. I chose the program based on assurances that it included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)… skills, individualized treatment plans, and structured tools for recovery. Unfortunately, after three weeks, none of these elements were present. Sessions felt more like casual group, coffe shop type conversations than professional therapy. The evening IOP counselor often allowed and even reinforced patterns of blaming others and embracing a victim mentality, rather than promoting personal responsibility and growth. I raised my concerns with one of the owners, who said they would speak with the counselor. However, the next two sessions—totaling six hours—continued in the same unstructured and unproductive manner. I then addressed the issue directly with the counselor, clearly expressing that I had paid for structured therapy and skill development, not informal conversation. Rather than making any effort to address my concerns after this second attempt, I was simply removed from the program via text message—an action that felt retaliatory and dismissive. In my experience, A&D Psychotherapy did not deliver the services they advertised. If you're looking for a program focused on accountability, structure, and evidence-based recovery tools, I would urge caution before enrolling.

Not good, Tammie lied about my insurance situation and held me responsible for over 3000 dollars she said would be covered. Wouldn't recommend this place..
