Select Health, the nonprofit insurer based in Murray, covers drug and alcohol rehab across Utah on employer, individual, Medicare Advantage, federal employee, CHIP and Medicaid plans. Its own utilization management team handles behavioral health preauthorization, and its Medicaid plan covers addiction treatment directly only for Adult Expansion members in five counties.

Each Utah entry carries the program’s own number and its care, anything from detox or a residential bed to IOP or medication, and, for accredited programs, which body granted it, CARF or The Joint Commission.
