Additionally, Access Behavioral Health sent my referral letter to an address I do not live at, despite being told I am homeless. I was not emailed or called, which delayed my care and placed me at further risk.When I… called to report these issues, the staff member just below the supervisor placed me on hold while I was actively explaining the problem. When she returned, she did not acknowledge what I was saying or address the issue. This behavior was dismissive, unprofessional, and inappropriate during a grievance discussion.

My therapist and psychiatrist were good but I went from some kinda of testing or assessment I lost my insurance before I could get the results and later moved out of state I had my new docs try to get MY records with… what that test would have said and I was told I would have to pay 80-90 ish dollars a hour so the person that ran the test could tell me what the test discovered instead of just releasing the files to my new doctor so now I'm having to find a way to take that test all over again in the state I'm in now

I've been struggling very hard with suicidal ideation. I am going two groups four or five times a week. And I see my one-on-one therapist at Access Behavioral Health. Today I was waiting in the online waiting room to… see my one-on-one counselor. I was getting myself in a good place where I could be open an honest and vulnerable. And then a random person that I've never met comes into the waiting room and starts asking me about making a payment on my balance. That is the rudest thing I've experienced in quite some time. I mean seriously..... give me a call during the week or send me a bill. You don't freaking interrupt somebody's very important and much needed counseling one-on-one. Especially like that. Not the right time. It's unbelievable

I went in for an intake appointment where within 5 minutes, I was being cut off and talked over before I could finish speaking. The doctor was disrespectful, condescending, and dismissive. When I attempted to advocate… for myself, she told me I could “go find another waitlist” if I wanted to be difficult. I took her advice and will be looking elsewhere.

Loved my providers. Slow computers make the calling the front desk hell, (the people are great), but I havent seen any sign of betterment with tech

The provider, Joniruth Digaum, has demonstrated a level of recklessness and clinical irresponsibility that is profoundly concerning. Under her care, my wife was subjected to more than twenty medication changes within… the span of a single year. These actions resulted in my wife entering a prolonged state of severe, suicidal psychosis, which I believe was directly caused by Ms. Digaum’s medically negligent decisions. At no point did she allow for proper tapering of existing medications before initiating new prescriptions, a practice that is both unsafe and professionally unacceptable. Her approach to treatment posed a clear and direct risk to my wife’s health and, in my view, represents a serious danger to any patient under her care. A formal complaint has been filed with the Board of Nursing, and we are pursuing legal counsel as a matter of principle, with the intent of preventing others from experiencing the harm that we believe she has caused.

After a terrible experience with another provider here in Boise who nuked his practice and got arrested, 988 hooked me up with Access Behavioral Health, who moved heaven & earth to get me in for an appointment with a… prescribing physician inside of 3 business days. Every appointment with Susan/every interaction with the rest of the team at Access has been next-level fantastic. Their systems are great, their people are the best, and they have an excellent in-house pharmacy, to boot. Can’t say enough great stuff about these guys!

That was probably the worst doctors appointment I have had in my 38 years living. Don't waste your time.

I sent A lot of of my life after abusive situations with therapists who never really took the time to understand me. They made me feel like oh we’ve had these sessions in your healed and convinced me that I was. I… walked around for a long time thinking I was well adjusted before I found Carter. He has helped me in ways that no one else has and is painful as it is to drag this stuff up he is touching on things that make me feel like he really understands me and is going to be a huge help. On top of that, the doctor helping me with my meds Julie is wonderful. She treats me with so much respect. Everyone in the office does I will never leave these two. It is really hard for me to trust and break down my walls and they have been helping me do just that. And I can never repay them for that. Thank you, Carter , Julie, and everyone else at the access behavioral team.

Terribly unprofessional. Case-managers who will come to your house for appointments, only to ignore their client as they play around on their laptop while sitting on your couch while ignoring you. As soon as you… complain about them not putting in minimum effort, they'll accuse you of being lazy & rant about how they're "not going to do everything for you". Then their assistants will hyperventilate & yell at you over the phone for being "disrespectful" just for asking why they refuse to help you during your appointments. They'll yell over you everytime you try to explain your side of the story, accusing you of "talking over them". Then after several seconds of dead silence to ensure they're finished talking, the second you try to restart your sentence, they'll make ridiculous nonsense noises as you try to speak just so they can begin yelling at you to "let them finish" or they'll hang-up on you. Such a joke. I suspect the assistant was deliberately trying to "trigger" me in attempt to get me to match their aggressive energy (unsuccessfully, i might add), just so they could turn the blame on me. VERY manipulative and toxic behavior on Access' end. Then when complaining to their supervisor about their employees aggressive attitudes, they'll shamelessly gaslight you by using your own conditions against you by saying stuff like "hmmm.... well, maybe you triggered my employees PTSD. You should maybe try to be more considerate of their feelings :)" in a passive-aggressively cheeky tone. I caught them doing this in a conversation i happened to have been recording, and the second i informed them that they were being recorded, they did a desperate 180 in a lame attempt at damage-control. They did this because they know that what their doing is VERY wrong & unprofessional. I still have these phone-call recordings saved, btw. Their therapists will also stare into space and offer zero insight or coping-strategies for anything (that is, whenever they aren't frequently cancelling you at the literal last minute before a scheduled appointment). The most insight i received during therapy was my therapist reminding me every 5 minutes of how much time we had left in our appointment. And their med-managers will attempt to "diagnose" you with random conditions less than 3 minutes after speaking to them for the very 1st time, to justify why they can't give you the meds you're already currently prescribed. I had them tell me that i shouldn't be on my ADHD meds because i also have PTSD, despite me taking these meds for years with zero issues. Less than 5 minutes after meeting with their med-manager for the very 1st time via telehealth, they legit tried to tell me in a very matter-of-fact & "what i say goes" tone that my ADHD meds will make me "paranoid" due to my C-PTSD, again, despite zero reported issues in that regard from my multiple years of taking said meds. Nonstop gaslighting & victim-blaming with these people, it almost seems like these people treat mental-illness like both a silly little exploitable joke & a way for them to make EZ money off of others. These heartlessly antagonistic vultures should be avoided like the plague.

This place is a joke and I would strongly advise against using their services. First of all, my son has been using this facility for 4 years. Throughout that time we have had issues with CBRS, phone calls not being… returned, billing issues, and rude incompetent staff. I spoke with a clinical director who informed me Kim felt his needs could not be met by her and she recommended a psychiatric doctor. I asked that they continue his care until we were able to schedule with a new provider and he agreed that should be the case. However Kim cancelled the appt the same day without notifying us. Mind you, a couple weeks prior he started experiencing side effects with meds and any voicemail I left went unanswered. I was told I had to wait to meet with her to make any med changes. On top of that this facility failed to bill insurance correctly to get the genesight test paid for and after many failed attempts by genesight to get them to correct it it was finally done a week after the lab received the results. I have reached out to many other facilities which are shocked by this unethical behavior. This facility does not care about your mental health needs or any issues that arise.

This place absolutely sucks. Your mental health is a joke to these people and the proof is in the pudding. I was waiting for 45 minutes and didn't see anyone and the 2nd time they didn't even have me on the schedule… even though I was told 12:45 pm by my counselor. So they rescheduled for the next day at a different time. 3rd time they didn't even have me on the schedule again. All they can say is "I'm sorry" well sorry doesn't fix my mental health nor does in reconcile for my wasted time. You're still getting paid while I look for help elsewhere.

Hello Guys this is news for update I have been on my own since 2023 I won he court battle with my guardian since that I have been in in travel around the free country of United States of Americaet me tell I'm not on med… I going to travel all the way to Europe and I'm going to stay there two months is because of your company and people work there lora I want to say have sorry I am that I did to your company your company open more freedom for me I want to thank you for all you time that u put in me I will be praying for you as a owner and trying to help people that can't not do some stuff u are the best still to this day I'm holding on to be good person is because u show me how life is. Thank you

I only went through Access for a brief period as the medication management was abysmal. I am giving two stars because the case workers and community workers were excellent and very patient and helpful. The medication… management, however, was the worst I have ever experienced. I had been prescribed Depakote, Invega, Abilify, Klonopin, Prazosin, Strattera and Wellbutrin. While this may a helpful combination for someone out there, it was a nightmare for me. The Depakote was causing severe gastrointestinal upset and causing my hair to fall out in handfuls. The Invega was causing me to lactate. The Klonopin was causing me to black out and act messy as hell. The overall combination of meds had me sleeping 16+ hours a day and unable to focus or function to the point where I had to quit my job. I was extremely suicidal and planning and planning an overdose to end my life because I was so dysfunctional that I couldn't imagine things ever getting better. I was rapidly gaining weight and couldn't get out of bed to exercise. I expressed these concerns to both of the med managers I was seeing and they were not only dismissive and rude but made it sound like changing medications was not an option whatsoever. One of them told me if I didn't like the meds I could go back to my previous med manager and the other one told me to stop complaining because she was being generous with the benzodiazepines. They both refused to adjust the antipsychotics at all despite knowing that they were making me lactate and feel depressed and that I was putting on an alarming amount of weight from them, basically saying this was how I had to live if I didn't want to risk another psychotic episode or hospitalization. They offered no solutions and showed no willingness to hear me out on the side effects. The short time I was there had a disturbing impact on my quality of life and cost me my job due to being over medicated to the point of complete dysfunction and exacerbated disability. Now that I have changed to a different med manager through a different business, I see a night and day difference and my life has drastically improved. I am much healthier and able to hold down a job. I have the energy to exercise and I am not on such an excessive dose of antipsychotics that it is possible to make healthy food choices. My hair is going to take awhile to recover from the loss from the Depakote, but it is no longer coming out by the handful. I can focus and make good decisions and while I am still working on my depression and anxiety I am not longer suicidal or in a constant state of benzodiazepine induced sloppy behavior. I am sleeping a normal amount and keeping up with my daily obligations much better. I know this is not going to be reflective of everyone's experience with access, so take it with a grain of salt. I do not recommend them whatsoever for med management, however their other services seem very helpful.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Maggie was deeply concerning and unprofessional from the very first session. What was supposed to be a 45-minute intake appointment dragged on for over 90 minutes… and was still incomplete. Maggie promised to call me later that day to finish the required questions, but never followed up. Even more troubling, Maggie repeatedly overshared personal details during sessions, including how much her own children dislike her and refuse to be around her. This was not just unprofessional it made me question her boundaries and judgment, especially while working with my 11-year-old daughter. She began throwing out possible diagnoses that felt wildly inaccurate. When I expressed concern, she responded, “Well, what do you want me to diagnose her with?” As a parent, I was stunned. I work in mortgage lending; I’m not a mental health expert. That’s why I sought out a trained professional, not someone who would turn the diagnosis into a guessing game. After voicing concerns to another staff member, we were told Maggie was new and may have been struggling with the system, and we were encouraged to give her another chance. My daughter went to the next session alone and later told me Maggie again brought up personal stories and didn’t listen to anything she said. She felt dismissed and unheard. At our final visit, I sat in and witnessed firsthand the disorganization and lack of professionalism. Maggie claimed she had completed our daughter’s intake but when questioned, admitted she “must’ve pulled it from prior questions.” The answers she documented were completely incorrect and fabricated. When I pointed that out, she argued with me. Despite previously admitting memory issues, she insisted she remembered everything perfectly. This was the final straw. I believe Maggie is not mentally fit to counsel vulnerable clients, especially children! I left deeply disturbed, and I would strongly caution any parent against entrusting their child’s care to her.

Leslie is one of the best counselors I've had in a long time. She has been a tremendous influence and help in my sobriety while working with her. I absolutely 💯 ♥️ love her.. She is one amazing woman.

They are sending me unexplained bills, trying to charge me interest on payments that they are demanding without explanation, and avoiding all contact for multiple months now. It really sucks that help is so hard to find… in the treasure valley, but this place is not it. It's sad that their actions affect the ability of providers to do their job. The provider I saw, Susan, did what she could, but while working for such a messed up, sketchy system, there's not much she can do to help. I will only communicate via email as there have been many communication issues in the past and I need the documentation. I've reached out via email and the app you told me to use multiple times. I had to edit review because that is the only way you'd respond. I re-added the same review with the additional paragraph. Nice try trying to make me look bad. I appreciate the pettiness. Someone finally got in touch with me via email as requested. I will not be making any phone calls as somehow you manage to lose any call recordings with pertinent information, so I will only be communicating via email as previously expressed so that I maintain a record of all interactions.

My counselor was Gina, who was referred by my employer's Employee Assistance Program. She was 15 minutes late for our appointments, stared at her computer screen while I talked about my issues, answered personal calls… and text during our sessions, and really offered little advice. As my issues deepened, she suggested I take a leave of absence from my job and that she would complete the form for me. The following week, one of my family members passed away. At that point, I went on leave at my job and asked Gina to complete the form. She did not respond to my email or phone calls. Her admin did not respond to my phone calls. I scheduled an appt with her to discuss the situation and Gina said she would complete my leave form ahead of the deadline. The leave form was sent after my employer's deadline and was approved for only 1 hour of leave every 2 weeks, per Gina's documentation. Gina agreed I would be off work completely - not 1 hour every 2 weeks - as that does not help whatsoever. After more emails, phone calls and messages with the practice manager with NO RESPONSE, I found a different practitioner at another health clinic to complete my leave form. Gina's total disregard for my situation is the utmost in unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, and outright malpractice. Additionally, since my employer did not get the leave form on time, I lost salary for the period that Gina did not complete the form.
