About Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment – Clarksburg
Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment operates from 706 Oak Mound Road in Clarksburg. The site sits in Harrison County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Anmoore, Bridgeport and Buckhannon. West Virginia draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Withdrawal management covers alcohol and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

I have learned so much in the years coming here. The staff truly care about us. They have cook outs, food give aways, games and lots of activities to take care of us. Tammy the nurse is always friendly and checks on me… when I come in.
amazing place and the staff is the best , God blessed them.
This team goes above and beyond to help the patients at the facility.
They don't seem to care about your individual circumstances or challenges. Their focus is on strict rules, which they insist are state-mandated and non-negotiable.They frequently emphasize compliance with these rules,… often referred to as Substance Abuse Counselors, although they hold the official position of Compliance Officer. Look, I'm not saying it's like being a police officer or anything, but it's basically the same kind of role, just without the excitement or the adrenaline rush that comes with that kind of job. To be honest, I think maybe it's best to just skip this place, because people seem to have the same negative experience when they go there. To those of you who are already struggling with this particular clinic and have found yourselves in their grasp, please remember to stay strong, stay safe, and try your very best to remain clean. Please know that there are people out there who indeed love and care about you and believe in you. Furthermore, it's important to understand that there are other facilities and clinics that are dedicated to providing genuine care for individuals as people, not simply as just another number to force compliance on. Take care & "Peace" be strong! ☮︎✌︎︎
I'll be honest: they don't seem to care about you, your recovery, or your personal problems. Their primary focus seems to be maximizing their profits through insurance claims, often by enforcing unnecessary requirements… designed to increase charges. This approach is detrimental to patient recovery. After almost a year at this place, I found a much more patient-focused clinic. The negative reviews are all accurate. The company also solicits positive reviews from its employees.
Great staff I'm grateful the medicine helps.
Overall I think the clinic is a good thing for a lot of people, after taking my girlfriend there every morning for the last year I can understand why the state wants to close them down. They drive your methadone dose… through the roof to hook you. Then use it as a fulcrum to get you to comply. My girlfriend has a terrible quality of life while on methadone she sleeps constantly. I will concede it still beats the hell out of fentanyl addiction. She has had to threaten and beg to get her dose reduced. I personally used the sublocade shot for 3 months after using suboxone for 10+ years. Sublocade allowed me to get off it with 0 withdrawal symptoms. It saved my life. My girl has been begging for that injection for months and the doctor there refuses because " she believes it won't work for her". What an assinine excuse, apparently she knows my girl better than my girl knows herself or better than I know her. It's simply legal drug dealing. Methadone costs more than the sublocade so they trap her on methadone and refuse the treatment that I know actually works. The counselor is no better, he makes an appointment for her for 6 am I get up early before I go to work and get her there on time, and he decides to take someone else instead and won't let her dose until she waits for him to finish with the person he took on our timeslots. My girl has caught him looking at her finer features numerous times...he doesn't even try to hide it. I'm glad that this place has helped ppl get off dope...but it's pushed as many right back to the street because of the ridiculous way they treat people. You want to tell my girl that she can't have what her and I both know will work for her so you can keep your methadone sales up and therefore keep your job. Caring about the people you treat comes second. I find this reprehensible and I understand why few people succeed here anymore. She literally had to beg to get her dosage down to a level that didn't comatose her all day. You should be ashamed of yourselves. All in all of you want to get off fentanyl or whatever this is a better option than the life you have been living. Just understand that they aren't going to do what's best for you or even what you want them too because you don't know what's best for you because your aren't the doctor. If you decide to come here...look out for yourself, your recovery is your recovery and whatever you find that works for you is the best way and only you can know what that is. Personally I think the sublocade shot is a miracle for people wanting to get clean and it should be offered to anyone who wants it, we shouldn't have to be stuck on something thats as addictive as fentanyl because the doctor doesn't think it will work for you and because it pays their paycheck. Whatever you think will work for you the best should be the first option...shame on the people I've described here. There are great employees that work here...and they are really nice people and good at their job. But the gatekeepers keeping the best remedy out there away from someone requesting it should be fired and have their license to practise pulled. Since you won't play ball we will find someplace that will give her the sublocade shot, even if it means I pay for it out of my pocket. I really hope someone sees this and rethinks how they have been dealing with people and rethinks their position on this matter...this town and these people need you to do what you know you should be doing. Your refusal to listen to what someone feels will work for them is going to cause someone to go back to what they were doing and potentially kill themselves via overdose. I'd like to think that's not something you would want in any way...wouldn't a simple sublocade injection be a much better outcome? It could be your loved one needing help next.....thank you for helping those that have been successful, the goal is being opiate free.....not hooked on methadone long term instead.
If you like being treated like a criminal, and you enjoy the screening nurse saying your private medical info loud enough for all other patients to hear, then this is the place for you. They don't waste their time… following HIPPA Laws, you're just a useless drug addict and they have better things to do like gossiping. Sure, you can find a few good ones that are there to help you in your recovery, but don't get attached to your therapist or doctor cause nobody stays.
If you have state funded Medicaid, please, come to the clinic, get on methadone and get your life back. Don't put your loved ones through more worrying whether or not the next time you OD will be your last if nobody is… nearby to narcan you. I can say for certain that the nurses, doctors, counselors, and staff each had a hand in saving my life, I'll be forever grateful to them at CCTC. It may take you a while to get your takehomes if you continue to use while going to the clinic, but there are also trip forms that will reimburse your gas mileage for every day that you come in. I have no complaints for the staff, they are doing the best that they can, my visit is normally in and out within 20-30 mins even with takehomes and drug screen. Jessika always has 100 other things going on, but she has always made time for me when I needed help with anything, always very nice and professional. Thank you for giving me my life back. God bless the staff, every patient, and their families.
Staff is very nice and treat you like a human not a number everyone there is very friendly. If I could give this place 10 Stars I would.
I’ve always seen staff treat patients with kindness and respect regardless of their backgrounds. 10/10!
This clinic really cares about patients and staff and treats them as such!
Excellent Care!!! Staff are RockStars!!!
Very positive and encouraging environment.
This is the worst methadone center to go to in America. Mainly for 2 reasons: 1) it is a profit driven corporation, something that does NOT belong in health care, and 2) they use outdated rules despite modern science… showing data that goes against their ignorant hysteria. Places like this misery factory of a clinic, with their ignorant mindsets, is part of why WV leads the nation in fentanyl deaths, with another reason being that chronic pain sufferers in this state can't get meds any more: it is choose fentanyl or come to a corporate clinic like this. I have been in treatment more than 15 years, and this is the 5th center I have gone to, and the first in WV. This place is by far the worst and the most draconian place I have ever been to by a factor of hundreds. All methadone treatment centers can be unpleasant, but this place is hundreds of times worse than your average methadone clinic in the USA. It's success rate is far far below other states. The rules for methadone treatment were written in the 70s, and the WV model remains that far out of the times, despite all the other states having decades of scientific data demonstrating that relaxing the rules works fine. WV has a habit of ignoring more successful treatment models in other states. I don't know why. But I do know this: until the rules are relaxed, WV will be full of suffering and death as it remains the laughingstock of the nation and continues to be #1 for fentanyl deaths. Stay far far away. It is better to quit cold turkey than suffer here, unless you are trapped in chronic pain and have no other choice.
This place is great. The staff is extremely nice and eager to help.
worst clinic i have ever went to i wouldn't even tell my worst enemy to come here. they would constantly do stuff to me(threatening me with my dose to throw me out on 200 mg if i didn't like it. they would use the… excuse that the methadone comes up but not the metabolites in my screens to take my take homes from me. then give them back after a week and then take my take homes again using the same excuse.even thought he truth was they were just doing it because shelly and jessica heflin didn't like me and my wife.don't bother going to emmy over the things they are doing to you. because she will just allow them to do even more&stick up for them with acadia&the dea when you call complaint lines on them. it took my wife 9 months just to get 2 take homes after she went to jail for protecting her kids from 5 methheads trying to break into our house and she got charged for malicious assault/jessica heflin tells her she had to waite 6 months just for 1 takehome then 3 months for each takehome after that with 13 years of clean drug screens and never missing a group or counseling.telling her she had to do 8 groups and counselings a month for the first 6 months/even though i know tons of people out at that clinic who have been arrested recently&they all still have their take homes.or only had to wait 30 days for their first takehome.even medmark in morgantown after an arrest you only have to wait 30 days for 1 takehome.but they wanted to blame the dea for that rule if that was the case then it would be done to everyone at all the clinics in the state of wv requiring the same rule and they would do an nci search on everyone.not just doing it to my wife because they dont like us and can do whatever they want to in authority positions.&when you try to leave this clinic to go to another clinic to get away from them&all the problems they cause they make sure they call the other clinic while your in taking/transferring&bad mouth you&try to get the other clinic to not transfer you&trying to make you look so bad making up all kinds of lies hoping they you get banned from the new clinic.my wife would come home everyday from dosing balling her eyes out from the things they were saying&doing to her.they go around bullying you/gossiping/getting you to breakdown for entertainment for the day/using your behavior when you get upset or stand up for yourself/using ekg's/bloodwork removing them out of your chart then making you do them again/ refusing to get them from wvmychart acting like you are threatening them in their office making you leave so you have to go to hospital and do all of the same stuff again ekg/bloodwork eventhough you just did it a few months ago/using medical reasons/to do stuff to you with your takehomes after they cant get you to relapse/you pass all your drug screens/you do all your groups and counselings/pass your bottle checks/they threaten you with your dose to throw you out when you get upset. they are bullys. these employees are horrible.after dr.brennan left this place is utter hell to be at.im so glad me and my wife got out of here.
My husband had a 2 week take home that took him over 2 years to get, and I had a 3 day take home that took me over 9 months to get. My husband has 3 years of clean drug screens and I have 13 years of clean drug screens.… Did all our groups and counselings never did anything wrong. Shelly and Jessica everyday would threaten me and my husband with our dose to throw us out on 200 mg of methadone. Doing stuff with our takehomes constantly. Using blood work or ekg or other stuff as an excuse to why they were doing it. They made my husband take an observed drug screen for over 2 months straight I using the fact that methadone was showing up but not the metabolites. Even though it does the same thing to me because of my liver and his because of his metabolism. That’s why we’re are on such a high dose. Dr Brennan would remove stuff out of the computer where Shelly would put for my husband to lose his takehomes for 5 days because of the metabolites. We called Acadia and Jessica Shelly and Emmie ganged up on dr Brennan and got him fired blaming him for it instead of them. Shelly used to work out at the jail 10 years ago when my husband was in there with drawling and held a grudge from clear back then. Jessica was my counselor when Terri rice was the clinical director and dr phares was the methadone doctor. I filed grievances on Jessica and put a counselor change in. They threw me and my husband out on 200 mg with a week takehome saying because of my behavior they were taking it we had to drive to Charleston wv 4 hours just to dose everyday because of them. They threw me out because I refused to get out on medication for mental illness like dr plates demand I do. And threw my husband out for supposably threatening them. The very next day after we were suppose to transfer out of that clinic to Morgantown to get away from them. Dr phares on 20 mg would tell me I was not having withdrawals. Because I switched from suboxone to methadone was like going from Tylenol 3 to fentanyl. Comparison of the two medications. Dea came in and stripped dr phases of his license fired him and then Terri rice followed being fired. Before Terri rice gets fired they talk us into coming back to this clinic that they weren’t gonna do anything to us and act like none of this ever happened that not to talk about it and would never do anything again. Well Terri rice puts Jessica Heflin in authority position right before she gets fired and Shelly gets a job at the Clarksburg clinic. And Emmie gets brought back used to be a counselor and put into clinical director replacing Terri rice. Jessica hates me and Shelly hates my husband. They start working on Emmie and start doing stuff to us repeating the same things with our takehomes and messing with our dose. We call Acadia they blame dr Brennan saying they didn’t do it he did. Get him fired. Then start doing all kinds of stuff to us with our medication and takehomes. We set up to transfer to Morgantown clinic and dose all the way up to Tuesday at Clarksburg and go to med mark Morgantown wv on Wednesday. They call med mark and tell them we are both daily dosers lieing and cost me a 3 day take home that took me 9 months just to get 2 takehomes Sundays are already given and cost my husband a 2 week take home. Telling them we were bringing fake pee in and all kinds of lies. I call Clarksburg clinic and confront them about it on speakerphone infront of medmark and Shelly answers and says no one at Clarksburg clinic would ever say that. They got all our papers they need for our dose etc and if I want her on my cellphone talking to med mark that I am to have them call her back on their phone because she is not talking to them on. T phone and gave her extension. They ruined our intake at Morgantown clinic. We have to drive 2 hours everyday with no takehomes no gas money to afford it, just to be able to dose everyday with our three year old and 8 year old having to sit 2 hours in the car everyday just for us to have medicine. Everyone loved dr Brennan they have destroyed this clinic. These people act on emotions
They are all nice and will help you get comfortable
I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place. My first incident occurred when my “counselor” wouldn’t take my calls for weeks to the point where i had no more medication left and was deathly ill. They didn’t care. THEN,… they blamed me for being upset about it and tried to give me a “behavior contract.” These people (other than doctor brennan he is great) are horrible at their jobs. Most of the time not even caring to do them at all. If I could give this place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat. Don’t go here. Most that do regret it.
I have never went there but my son has been going there for a couple months after he got out of rehab and I took him there yesterday to get his RX for the suboxone and after being in there for over an hour he comes out… mad without his RX , he said they were trying to force him to go to rehab, hello, he just got out of rehab, anyway I just think dropping someone cold turkey is wrong and there gonna go out and try to find the other stuff that could kill them , but i read the other reviews and I guess that it's no big deal to them it's not their problem they tell people, I thought they were there to help people ❓️ I guess it depends on the person you see , because I called out there to talk to someone and the person that I talked with was very nice but said she would have the Dr to call me and no one cared to call me back, so thanks alot for nothing and dropping my son cold turkey!!! People that don't care about other people shouldn't have jobs like this , I understand they deal with difficult people but to drop someone and not give them their RX without warning is cruel and shouldn't happen , how would they like to be in that person's shoes! They need to at least fill the RX one last time or work with that person, that's the reason they are going to the clinic in the first place is because they need help and if you can't have compassion for people then this isn't the job for you!
Wish I started treatment years ago. This place is life saving. Life changing. Forever. I feel like life is possible again... after so long of seeing no light at the end of this tunnel.
First off if your looking at this wtg recognition is first step your on your way . There is an Art group on Mondays @9am… find me there, and say “HI”
Love everyone there!
Worst experience ever. Such rude staff who doesn't care about their patients period.
I want to state right from the start that my '5 STAR' rating was the end result of about 2 & 1/2 hours of sincere reflection and hem-hawing my entire experience with Clarksburg Comprehensive Treatment Center. If I had… been setting aside time to construct a review at any point of time two weeks or more ago, then this review would be an altogether, different beast. The best rating I could have honestly provided could have never exceeded 2 stars, and that would be unreasonably generous. As one of the reviews before my own stated, "The amount of change I have witnessed at this facility is unbelievable" or something synonymous to my poorly recited quote. 😸
The counselors really care about the patients. They want to know how you are doing and always offer something that is helpful in my recovery.
Staff are nice and good group to work with. 🙂🙂🙂
