This place is awesome! My daughter went here about a year ago and there is such a massive change. I am so grateful she went to this place it is definitely worth the money. Definitely recommended!!

Everyone that works there is so nice especially the front desk. A family member of mine that got treatment here has been at his best ever since and the owner is also a really good person and overall a great business.

Best place I could have landed after a 28 day inpatient. Love everything about it, especially the people.

Loved my experience with ocean state. My recovery is going amazing with the tools I have acquired. Very in depth group conversations, personal therapy sessions, very safe space to speak your peace. No judgement or shame… in anything that is said. Build long lasting friendships and always have some one to talk to when you need it. Staff is very respectful and attentive to individuals needs and treatment plan.

I’m sure just like a lot of people I was scared when I first went there, but the way they made me feel and the way they help me come out of my shell. I’ll never forget them. They’re the best. I can’t thank them enough… for all the support and the encouragement and the belief.

As someone in recovery, I highly recommend Ocean State Recovery Center. The staff and clients genuinely care, listen without judgment, and treat you like a person…not a diagnosis. Recovery isn’t always easy, but having… the right people in your corner makes a huge difference. I’ve made incredible connections over the weeks and know I have friends (something I didn’t have in active addiction). Ocean State gave me support, accountability, and encouragement, all things which have kept me wanting to stay clean. I was afraid to ask for help but once I picked up the phone, I am grateful they answered.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Ocean State. I was recommended to their center after a hospital admission. Their onboarding process was easy and the admissions staff made me feel welcoming with each step. I… recently completed Ocean State’s evening IOP program and it truly changed my life. I’ve been in recovery before, and no other program compares. Every counselor and staff member genuinely cares about each person’s recovery. They provide support but also real life tools that can be used after the program ends and in day to day life. Ocean State has become such an important part of my recovery journey and I am so grateful for the continued support. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for treatment.

Ocean State Recovery Center is the first treatment center that I have been to that fully convinced me that I can in fact stay sober and live a better life. In my decade plus of fighting mental health and substance abuse… problems at numerous different treatment facilities, I never once believed that it could work for me. OSRC changed that. They are the gold standard for recovery in the region. I have had periods of sobriety before, but never true recovery until joining the PHP, and later IOP, at Ocean State. The case managers and therapists are truly compassionate, highly educated, and knowledgable professionals who want nothing more than to see clients succeed. You are not a number or insurance payment to them, but a human being deserving and capable of living a better life. In the 6 months that I have been a client, I have maybe repeated a topic in session twice. Compare that to the PHP/IOP at the biggest mental health hospital around: a 5-7 day program duration and on Day 4 you are repeating the exact same topics, lectures, and handouts as Day 1. Ocean State digs into the root causes of our behaviors and helps us learn to change our mentality towards ourselves. It is not just about putting the substances down, but about becoming a version of yourself that you can be proud of and actually happy with. I resisted a solid program of recovery for years, and the clinicians at Ocean State helped me to break through that reluctance and prove to me that I was worthy of doing this work. It has now been over 4 months since my last drink, I am an active member of a 12 Step program, I have a sponsor, and a fantastic network of sober people that I can call friends. None of these would have been possible if it weren’t for the genuine care and compassion shown to me by the staff at Ocean State Recovery, not to mention maybe a little bit of prodding! I have felt better about myself in these last four months than I ever have before - even at times when I had over a year sober. If you are even sort of, maybe, kinda considering getting help and starting any kind of treatment, look no further than OSRC. This place has changed my life and the lives of countless others who once believed themselves hopeless just as I had.

Ocean State Recovery helped with so many different areas in my life. Walking in, I really did not know what to expect. But I definitely did not expect it to impact me as much as it did. I can't compare it to other… places, because I have never been to any other facility. I just couldn't imagine anywhere else being any better. Honestly speaking, every staff member, whether they were a therapist or case manager, had this level of empathy and knowledge that I find admirable. I could write a page worth of praise for each person that works there. The group sessions were life changing for me personally. It pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and trudge through my anxiety. And it wasn't just me. I saw many others with the same sequence of events. Very shy, reserved, and anxious walking into the group sessions. It doesn't take long at all to feel comfortable there. I am not saying that recovery is easy. It seems quite the opposite. But everyone, the people who work there, and even the clients just want to help. It is a beautiful thing to see a group of people struggling yet all working together towards the same goal, to feel okay. I couldn't express my gratitude enough towards Ocean State Recovery and recommend it to anyone who is serious about rebuilding their life to live a happier and healthier future.

OSRC is the best!

Ocean State Recovery Center provided compassionate, consistent care during a really difficult period in my life. The staff were kind, patient, and genuinely encouraging, and I always felt supported rather than judged.… They helped me slow down and begin noticing patterns in my thoughts, stress responses, and behaviors that were impacting my health. With their guidance, I became more open to understanding how trauma, chronic stress, and mental health are connected to my physical symptoms. This work aligned with what I’ve been learning through my rheumatology care and trauma therapy—especially around CPTSD, chronic pain, fatigue, and how the body holds stress and trauma. That insight has helped me better advocate for myself and engage more fully in my healing. Overall, they encouraged me toward a more self-aware, grounded, and healthier version of myself, and I’m grateful for their role in that process.

This place saved my life! All the councilors are amazing. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself I just wished I did it sooner.
