On January 23, 2026, Ascenda Integrated Health and Becky DiLisciandro contacted my sister, who lives out of state, and disclosed information indicating that emergency behavioral health services were being initiated or… considered in relation to me. I did not authorize my sister as an emergency contact. I have no idea how they got her phone number and I ever provide consent for any disclosure of my personal or health-related information. Prior to this disclosure, local law enforcement had already reviewed the underlying report and advised me that it was not threatening in nature. Despite this, Ascenda disclosed information about me to a third party without my authorization and outside of any immediate medical emergency. Ascenda violated the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), specifically 45 C.F.R. §164.502(a), by disclosing my protected health information to an unauthorized third party without my authorization, without a valid emergency exception, and without verification of recipient authority. The individual contacted was not listed as an emergency contact, had no involvement in my care, and resides in another state. No imminent threat existed that would justify disclosure under HIPAA’s emergency provisions. As a result of this unauthorized disclosure, I suffered significant emotional distress and loss of privacy. I have filed a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. Upon completion of that investigation, I intend to pursue all available civil remedies under applicable state law.

I was in NEED of therapy and had 3 sessions with my therapist until I needed to reschedule one one day. She took 2 weeks to answer then said “seems we left off would you like to stop or continue” I replied that I wanted… to continue and never heard anything. Never thought a therapist could ghost someone. Seems they’re only doing their job for money. Do not recommend.

Acenda IH is an incredible community focused program. They helped me naglvigate the challanges of single parenthood while being dissabled and homeless. Because of them I could have a safe place to stabilize my mental… health whole gathering community resources and leaning into the knowledge of their professionals and advocates to help me get through the myriad of things that pop up when youre trying to settle down. I am so grateful these guys exist. And I am looking forward to using the skills I gained from working with them to continue making my life healthy and whole.

Best decision recently made! To go to Acenda in Sewell for help. Entire staff is supportive and kind! Therapist is awesome!!

took a family member there for first time, after a couple of weeks , someone called to ask did the family member need to talk to someome, I then asked were they going to help them, then she tells me where they can go… for help. I never received a phone call or email concerning this, I ask them to send me a letter. I received a message few days after that, they do not send out letters.

They never call, they discharge you without telling you, they have you sign release forms and then do nothing with them, they tell you they are a short term facility, yeah that is definitely true, because you never… speak to a doctor, they ask why you are there and then they make up their own reasons. The person who does the psychological intake makes up her own stories about you, Glad I'm not a danger to myself or others. This is how the treatment of people on state insurance get treated, we are a nobody to them.
