Evoke Wellness – Hilliard (5471 Scioto Darby Road) Detox and Rehab Services

The provision listed at Evoke Wellness – Hilliard (5471 Scioto Darby Road) is detox and residential treatment. Detox runs under medical supervision, and the first three days carry the highest risk with alcohol and benzodiazepines. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

Combined treatment is not recorded, which is worth checking before committing. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

I've been here when it was Evoke Wellness. Some crazy memories from that place!! Some fantastic, some were terrible. I hope it hasn't changed too much since ownership changed. And as many reviews say, the food was… otherworldly🤣. Unfortunately from what I've heard from numerous people, that this place is dog 💩 now. It's so shameful that it's what happens to a business when they get new ownership. They don't even have mental health treatment there now. What a complete shame when a business person only cares about sales and money, over providing quality medical care.

This place is a great place to find one's self. I went through detox and residential treatment, which consisted of a 37 day stay. The food was wonderful. The kitchen staff was great, especially Jami!!! The nursing staff… was great! They attended to all my needs my entire stay!!! I'd like to thank Heidi, Marissa, Ann, Shonta, Mendi, Sue, Saleena, and EVEN Eddie. The therapist were wonderful!!! Bri, Spencer, Kelli, Chelsea, Pat and Ameina conducted great groups, took us on walks, did crafts with us, and gave constructive feedback. The techs were very helpful and great problem solvers!!! Thank you so very much Chevell, Jennifer, Casey, Savanna, mari, and Dustin!!! If anyone wants to truly work on themselves, this is a great place to find real assistance...😊

I’ve been to a few places on my recovery journey and this is by far the worst. It’s essentially a homeless shelter for people with Medicaid. When I left the building to go to court they allowed the clients to steal all… my clothes. All my earthly belongings and then refused to do ANYTHING about it. Everyone you talk to here passes you to the next person so you’re now their problem. For example I was told by the DIRECTOR to do the very tedious and nearly impossible task of collecting receipts for all my missing clothes (which who has that? They were just hoping I couldn’t) and when I came up with $700 worth of receipts, which isn’t even half of what was taken, they said sorry can’t help. Too bad so sad. They do room searches for drugs but wouldn’t even search my roommate (who I gave socks to because he said he just did 25 years in prison… and as a result HAD NO CLOTHES), who was obviously the prime suspect. There’s not enough food, You can’t bring your own. Everything’s falling apart. Constant fights. And an environment that feels more like a jail than a “recovery institute”. I have proof for all this btw so I can’t wait to see what they try and respond to this review. I have receipts. Literally. Also they bully clients into writing five star reviews before they let them walk out the door so believe none of these five star reviews.

Kate Dawes with Arista Recovery is truly a blessing to the community. Every single day she goes above and beyond to help the community, not just those in active addiction. I’ve personally called her in the middle of the… night on numerous occasions because I had a friend or family member that was ready and willing to go to treatment, and no matter the time, Kate has been ready to help place them in treatment and sober livings. Arista, as well as the community is lucky to have her.

Daniel Ketterer9 months ago

Daniel Ketterer's review: Being at Arista lead to a dramatic positive change in my life, and I wanted to mention a few names of staff members who impacted me the most. The time we spent together I will never forget; the… laughter we shared and the lessons I learned will never leave me. I will miss this place, but not enough to relapse! Hahaha Manuel (AKA Man)- Man oh man where to start! Equal parts confident and competitive, your good natured spirit lifts us all up and makes us focus on taking accountability for our own lives. Your focus on your own personal excellence in what you do, whether it be strength and good health, or the mental aspects as exemplified through your chess prowess, serve as a good role model for many of the men there. You are not intimidating, rather you are as likely to strike up conversation with a new client and get to know them as you are to counsel and have meaningful talks with those you got to know better. Bree - I want to thank you for the personal conversations we had and for taking the time to sit with me 1-1 despite the heavy workload you have. Your deep insight into human nature shows through your work. You are an excellent therapist, and am excited for who else you may impact as much you did me. Your focus on the truth of the matter, especially with painful or private or sensitive topics is not abrasive. Adults do not need coddling in my view, and you pushed me to grow in ways I did not and could not even conceive of own my own. Kaiden (Hope I'm spelling that right) - Quirky, sensitive and intelligent. We spent a few really good moments discussing Math, AI, and other strange, out-of-the-box, thought provoking things you would say that I would spend a good deal of time thinking about. You are very intuitive emotionally, and we connected really well. Thank you in particular for listening me talk on about my life, and lending an understanding ear. Rachel - The head honcho herself, lol, you talked with me quite a bit to help me have personal insight into how I tick in a really deep way, why I do what I do, and what I should probably do instead. These conversations led me to be more honest and open with myself, stop punishing myself for the past, but instead focus on learning from the past, so I can take the correct action today. ----- P.S. So grateful to have met you all. I wish you all the best, the job may not be easy but I hope it is rewarding to see the change you can have on a single life. I came in to Arista feeling caged like an animal, and I left as free as a man can be. Truly, I am thankful. Daniel
