A complete waste of time! If they hate their job, maybe they should find a new one.
This company has significant areas that need improvement. Leadership is a major concern—the manager often behaves unprofessionally, using inappropriate language and contributing to a tense, drama-filled environment.… There is also a noticeable lack of respect in how clients are spoken about, which is troubling. Additionally, interactions at the front desk have, at times, come across as dismissive and uncomfortable, particularly for people of color. Whether intentional or not, this creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, the management style reflects poor leadership, and there are concerning signs of bias and inconsistency. The company promotes itself as “faith-based”, but in my experience, its actions do not align with those stated values. 1 out of 5 stars.
Take a chance on yourself at FAR. I'm so glad I stayed. I didn't leave before the miracle happened.
Ill equipped to handle “dual diagnosis “.
I completed this program today, making it a year ago to the date that I started my life. This place, the staff and clients helped change and mold me into the person I am today and for that im forever grateful. If you… would have told me a year and a half ago id go to treatment for a year and complete it only to start fresh, I would have told you your crazy. Thats not the case though. Thank you to staff and fellow clients for all you have done!
The people here helped me so much in so many ways they help me realize . The person that I always knew that I could be they helped me find my true self and I thanked them from the bottom of my heart And if you want it… bad enough, you can do it, things will be hard. But just never give up on yourself. I just want to say one more thing to the staff at FAR thank you and bless every one of you love y'all so much
I did 5 out of 6months i were required to do. I was one of the few that was serious about my recovery and to hear from other patients that i were an inspiration to them. But i was discharged for my behavior and sending… a happy birthday text for another patient. I was told i was disrespectful to staff, which they were very rude and called other patients there names and also few times where i thought they were going to get in a physical alterations. Instead of being professional about it when i broke a rules, i was approached in a very rude and unprofessional manner which did cause me to have and attitude. Which I were threatening to be sent back to jail, where now i gotta turn myself in. While i was there not once did i fail a drug test, which other have and was given chances instead of being discharged and one patient came into the back door so drunk that he fell coming in and were told to go bed and sleep it off and continued to stay there. Thats just one of many things that happened while i was there. I just don't understand why kick someone out that was engaging in meetings, step work, became a member of an awesome church which have help me si much and staying sober and helping new patients when they needed someone to talk too. I was honest and upfront when i was questioned about the rules ive broken which was totaled of 3 in 5 months i was there which was very minor rules. I was never once questioned on how i was feeling at time when ive felt like i was hitting a plato in my recovery. Ive talk to my sponsor and church members about it, but i was feeling like i was at that shut down stage which i wasn't getting out of class anymore and there times where i did fell asleep in class and many other patients were to, which i was told it was another reason i were discharged. However i was put on IOP and was told i only had to attend 9 hours of class a week at the time which they making me do 35 hrs a week if i wasnt working. I can say staff member Mrs D was the only one to actually tell me how much she was proud of me and can see the changes in me and the dedication i put toward my sobriety and to sharon baptist church which i became a member too and a awesome church family. Ive just felt like they focused more on behavior instead of progress in recovery and the engaging with your sponsor, meetings and my church. Im a person who is kind hearted, quiet and never started conflict, but when i was approached in a rude and aggressive manner, yes i came off in the wrong way myself. My honest opinion the place still needs alot kinks worked out, staff that works at house are in recovery and so they have no clue how to communicate with us or give advice when someone is having an off day and need someone to talk to that can relate on how they feel. But instead my opinion on people who never been in our shoes treats us a little different, like we are lower then them. I heard them call patients crack heads, stuff that was uncalled for. Staff was bringing drugs in for people and getting high theirselves while on the job. It confuses me that they kicked out a person who stay sober through times where others were getting high and cheating drug tests and not gotten kicked. I was kicked out for misuse of phone, behavior, and fell asleep in class which 50% of the patients slept also. I have many character defects which doesn't changes overnight but i putting forth the work to better myself and also putting up with the environment i was in. I do know for me to break 3 to 4 rules in 5 months its hella progress than when i was in active addiction for 20 years and breaking every rules possible. What ive said is the truth nothing but the truth and just small portion of things that happened. I can say that Mrs D and Renae are two wonderful people that has a heart and cares about the patients well being. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Amazing facility. Elizabeth, Renae, Emily and Woody are angels! Provided a great opportunity for me to have time and not worry about anything else. They definitely work with you and put your comfort and safety first so… you can focus on your recovery.
From my first call the far staff promised if they didn’t have what I needed they wouldn’t turn me away without making sure I had a safe place to go. Fortunately, they did have what I needed and after having just… finished 50 days with FAR I can say that they delivered on their promise. Words can’t express how grateful I am to the staff for their care and concern. They went well beyond my expectations and far exceeded prior experiences I’d received at previous facilities. Anyone I encounter that needs or knows of a need will hear of how well I was cared for and given the support and safe space to heal and grow when I needed it the most. Will be forever grateful.
